OECD chief: We have to make Brexit as smooth as possible

Remain supporter ingel Gurria says UK needs to accept vote but keep close links with EU

ingel Gurria, the head of one of the west's leading thinktanks and one of the most prominent supporters of remain during the EU referendum campaign, has said it is time to move on and ensure that Brexit is a success.

"We have no choice," the secretary general of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development said in an interview with the Guardian at the World Economic Forum in Davos. "We have to take action and make it as smooth as possible."
