Two weeks ago campaigner Christine Haigh looked at the mechanism that allows you to report a company for breaching international guidelines on responsible behaviour, and came to the conclusion that they are in need of serious reforms. This year is the fifteenth anniversary of the National Contact Point (NCP) system and in 2016 the OECD guidelines for multinational enterprises on responsible business conduct will celebrate its fortieth anniversary. They are sometimes called the grandfather of all corporate social responsibility standards.
