slackware-current root partition backup reccomendations
by zdolar from LinuxQuestions.org on (#51SRS)
I'm running two years old slackware-current server headless.
I want to create a backup of a rw mounted root partition on a remote machine before complete upgrade.
On that machine is a KDE4 accessible with VNC and also ssh access.
Considered qt-fsarchiver, but had problems to compile/install since there is no slackbuild script for it. Anybody installed and used it on a Slackware?
What are other options?
Wish a complete partition backup with boot sector, exclude some folders and possibly compress option and network support (NFS).
