Car dealership Lookers plans to cut 1,500 jobs and close 12 dealerships as it returns to selling and servicing vehicles after the coronavirus shutdown.
The group, which operates 164 car dealerships, says the redundancies are needed to protect the long-term future of the business and it hopes to save 50m a year from the job cuts.
