Why is locate accessing all filesystems ?
by markus-n from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5FF4H)
And how can I prevent it ?
I'm using a laptop with a NVME SSD for the system and an additional HDD for some data. The HDD is mounted, but rarely accessed, so it sleeps most time.
When I use locate, the HDD wakes up, although the database is on the SSD and I'm not using the parameter -e (respectively --existing).
Any ideas ?
