Severe weather warning for damaging winds, heavy rainfall and flash flooding issued for Melbourne and parts of regional Victoria
Hail, heavy rain and severe thunderstorms have lashed greater Melbourne as a cool change sweeps across Victoria.
The State Emergency Service (SES) had received more than 300 calls for help in the six hours up to 4.30pm on Friday, as homes, buildings and roads were flooded across metropolitan and greater Melbourne. The SES said 504 Victorian homes remained without power due to the severe weather as of 3pm.
