Labour MP Dawn Butler diagnosed with breast cancer

Butler says prognosis is good as condition was detected at an early stage

The Labour MP Dawn Butler been diagnosed with breast cancer following a routine mammogram, she has said.

Butler said she would be taking time off to recover fully from an operation, but suggested the prognosis was good because the condition has been detected at a relatively early stage.
