Australian hitmaker is in a stable condition after 12-hour surgery, family says

The Australian singer John Farnham is recovering in hospital after almost 12 hours of surgery to remove a cancerous growth from his mouth.

The 73-year-old reportedly had part of his jaw removed followed by reconstructive surgery after having the tumour removed.
