Changes to DNA threshold limits at Queensland's troubled forensic laboratory were introduced in part to save the laboratory time and money, a public inquiry has heard.
This came after the inquiry, headed by Walter Sofronoff KC, delivered an interim report last week that identified serious shortfalls in testing thresholds.
