Australian military helicopter crash: PM pays tribute as navy divers join search for missing crew

Taipan helicopter was taking part in joint military training Talisman Sabre when it crashed in waters off Queensland's Whitsunday Islands on Friday night

Prime minister Anthony Albanese has paid tribute to Australia's defence force personnel as the search for a missing aircrew off the coast of Queensland continues.

Albanese said the nation was thinking of the four families of the missing aircrew of the MRH-90 helicopter, which crashed about 10.30pm on Friday while taking part in a joint military training as a part of exercise Talisman Sabre.
