Queensland police find 12-year-old girl missing without shoes, wallet or phone

The girl left her home in Birtinya, on the Sunshine Coast, to visit a nearby park on Wednesday evening

Queensland police say they have found a 12-year-old girl who had gone missing for more than 36 hours after heading to a local park without shoes, a wallet or phone.

The girl was last seen leaving her home in Birtinya on Queensland's Sunshine Coast at 6.45pm on Wednesday.
