Man arrested after fatal shooting of Queensland woman sparked police hunt

Police have arrested a man after a woman was fatally shot in Mackay on Queensland's mid-north coast.

Police were called shortly after 4.30pm after reports a woman had been shot. Police found a woman who had died and a man with non-life threatening injuries to his hand.
