Israeli supreme court ends army exemption for ultra-Orthodox men

Israel's Supreme Court today ruled unanimously that the military must begin drafting ultra-Orthodox men for compulsory service. The landmark decision effectively puts an end to a longstanding exemption for the ultra-Orthodox.
