Istanbul is one of those rare, historic cities where you can practically trip over ancient history. A 16th-century-old bathhouse, or hamam, is privately owned and on sale for $2 million. Though the city is full of historic buildings that have been stunningly restored, it's often prohibitively expensive. At what point is cultural heritage worth saving?
