Controversial Taiwanese laws struck down as unconstitutional

Opposing political parties in Taiwan are wrangling over constitutional issues at a time when the island is under threat like never before from neighboring China. Its president was elected earlier this year promising to increase defense spending, while the opposition, which controls the legislature, doesn't want to provoke China.
