A teenager has been remanded into custody after he appeared in court charged with attempting to murder a 13-year-old girl and possessing a samurai sword.
The 14-year-old was arrested after a girl was found with life-threatening injuries near Hull on Friday morning.
The boy, who cannot be named because of his age, appeared at Hull youth court on Monday morning, where the district judge Mark Daley remanded him into youth detention.
