In January, India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a grand Hindu temple in Ayodhya, in northern India. The temple stands at the spot where a mosque stood until December 1992, when it was torn down by a Hindu mob. The attack sparked riots across South Asia, killing thousands of people, and is considered the most violent incident since India's partition. Sushmita Pathak reports from Ayodhya on what the new Ram temple means for local Hindus and Muslims and Indian politics.
