Boston MFA closes Benin gallery

The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston has closed its renowned but controversial Benin Kingdom Gallery. The space prominently displayed bronze and ivory objects considered masterpieces from the former African kingdom, now a part of Nigeria. The collection has raised questions about the legacy of colonialism, looted art - and proper museum stewardship.
