Xi Jinping woos Latin American leaders

China extended a credit line of $9.2 billion to Latin American and Caribbean countries on Tuesday. Xi Jinping made the gesture at the opening ceremony of the China-CELAC, or Community of Latin American and Caribbean States Forum in Beijing. China is offering itself as the stable alternative to the tariff-raising Trump administration.
