In Vienna, urban design prioritizing gender equality is put to the test

How do you design a city where everyone feels like they belong? Vienna has been trying to answer that question for more than 30 years. The Austrian capital was one of the first cities in Europe to put gender equality at the heart of how it's planned out. A dedicated department was set up to rethink everything from parks to housing to health care. But now, some say those ideas are facing growing resistance.
