NATO brushes aside human rights concerns as leaders meet in Turkey

This week, the Turkish capital Ankara plays host to NATO's 36th summit. And the run-up has been tense. Not just because of the ongoing war in Ukraine, but because of a sweeping security crackdown which has targeted not only alleged members of the terror group ISIS, but civil society groups, journalists, LGBTQ+ activists and environmentalists as well.
