George Osborne will soon deliver the first budget by a Conservative government in almost 20 years.
His March budget, under the coalition with the Liberal Democrats, provided some clues as to what he might say when he unveils his measures on Wednesday afternoon. The Conservative manifesto also contained a wide range of promises to present a budget for "hard-working families" - one of the chancellor's buzzphrases.
