One of Best Buy's Black Friday deals is the Neato Botvac D4 Wi-Fi connected robot vacuum cleaner, which is down to $249.99 from a regular price around $430. This is a deal straight from the manufacturer to celebrate Black Friday. You can find it at several retailers including Amazon, Walmart, and others. It's one of the lowest prices we've ever seen, especially considering the demands this year caused the price to spike as much as $500.The convenient part about this robot vacuum is that it connects to an app on your smartphone or tablet, allowing you to control its actions or schedule a cleaning from anywhere in the world. With the app, you can even set up "no-go lines" to keep the vacuum out of certain areas of the home. That's pretty important when you just want the robot vacuum to focus on your kitchen or living room without moving all around the house. The D4 uses LaserSmart technology that helps it to scan and map your entire home so it can clean in a set pattern instead of r...

Garage doors are dumb. They open and close and open and close and... you get the idea. But they're also essential to keeping your car (or junk) safe, and with the advent of smart garage door openers, they become even more useful. Not only can you open and close the door remotely (shoot, I left it open and I'm already at work!) but you can let delivery people into a neutral spot without worrying that they're going to have access to the rest of the house.Do you need a smart garage door opener? Of course, you don't need one, but oh my goodness wouldn't your life be better with that kind of automation? I can't tell you how many times I've been frustrated because the signal on my garage door clicker in my car wouldn't connect, or the battery in the remote died, and I had to get out of my car and open it manually LIKE AN ANIMAL. So no, you don't need one, but you'll be so much happier once you get one. Most of the smart garage door openers on the market are easy enough for the average wee...
