I'm actually looking forward to the holidays now.Every year, for as long as I can remember, my family has gathered on Thanksgiving and Christmas at my grandparents' place. For some of us, it's the only time we see one another throughout the year. It's a relatively simple tradition that's, surprisingly, lacks the holiday horror stories you hear about families fighting or food being ruined. This year, we're not gathering together. My grandparents are up there in ag,e as you can imagine, and their health is more important to all of us than any one event. I knew this was going to be a video chat Thanksgiving months ago, but computers aren't exactly my grandfather's favorite thing and my grandmother's hearing aids rarely mix well with the small speakers on most laptops and phones. Webcams, while great and plentiful on the market, weren't the solution. I needed something dead simple to use where they could sit and be comfortable and not need to strain to hear and understand everyone.F...

Don't spend your $40 anywhere else. When The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners launched on the PC earlier this year, it became immediately apparent that developer Skydance Interactive was operating on a different level from most developers. This game wasn't just some run-of-the-mill zombie killing game; it was a zombie apocalypse simulator with a level of depth that simply isn't typically expected of VR games. While many games continue to focus on the "experience" because of VR's unique way to immerse your brain in the situation, Saints & Sinners provides full immersion into an apocalyptic hellscape, complete with the deep gameplay that you should expect of a AAA action-RPG.When it was announced that it was coming to the Oculus Quest family shortly after release, I honestly laughed. I could see a PSVR port, but how in the world was Skydance Interactive going to get this game running on the Quest? It seemed impossible because of the scale of the game, the level of detail, and,...

If you weren't tired of 'Bad Guy', you might be after a dose of this. What you need to knowBillie Eilish recently celebrated 1 billion views on YouTube.Google uses TensorFlow machine learning to create an endless video consisting of over 15,000 fan covers.Viewers can control the kinds of videos they're presented with or just let the video player choose for them.I admit it: before today, I had never heard a Billie Eilish song. Maybe a snippet of a song in a commercial, but besides that I'd largely managed to evade the nonchalant vocal stylings of "Bad Guy". But thanks to Google's new machine learning experiment, I just can't seem to escape it.The song broke the previous record for longest running #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and the music video managed to amass a whopping 1 billion views. So to celebrate, YouTube and Google Creative Labs created an infinite music video with the help of machine learning and a collection of over 15,000 covers of the song found throughout YouT...

One common issue about Wear OS is its fitness features, or lack thereof. There is fitness tracking and the like, but software features were always severely lacking compared to some of the best fitness trackers on the market. This oversight forced Wear OS watch makers like Fossil to step in themselves and provide their own support. Google is addressing that now with new update to Wear OS that aims to improve the software and make things easier to navigate....
