While a $20 discount doesn't sound like much, this is still the lowest price the Shield TV has been in six months.I have owned an NVIDIA Shield TV for five years now and it's never let me down. While there's a hot new Android TV streaming dongle on the box, last year's NVIDIA Shield TV (2019) is worth recommending over the Chromecast with Google TV, even with the wide price difference between them. That price difference is a little bit closer right now as a Black Friday deal brings the Shield TV down to $130 at both Amazon and Best Buy.Best Android TV ExperienceNVIDIA Shield TV (2019)Great remote and greater power still make this the best. While the new Chromecast with Google TV is making waves, the NVIDIA version is the better buy not just because it's more powerful but because it has a more robust interface. Google Pay is now over half a dozen apps in one.If there's one thing that Google's proven to be consistent at over the years, it's the company's need to constantly change and update its apps/services. Whether it be shifting the placement of YouTube comments or ushering in gaudy new logos for G Suite, there's always something being tweaked. We saw another prime example of that last week with the major redesign that came to Google Pay. It's actually more than a redesign, though, and more like a completely different app altogether. Where the old Google Pay was just used for paying at stores and sending money to friends, this new version bundles that with brand new features and a fresh app layout. Complaining about change just for the sake of it isn't productive, but after playing around with the new Google Pay app for a few hours, I can't help but feel hesitant about this new direction Google is taking. The best way to think of the new Google Pay is like a smorgasbord of every money...

Green Bay and Indianapolis are both coming off big weeks as they face each other. Philip Rivers officially passed Dan Marino to become the fifth all-time passing yards leader of all time. The Colts also handedly beat the Titans as they slid into a first place tie in the division.Green Bay may have beaten the Jaguars, but it wasn't pretty. Aaron Rogers gave up several interceptions and the team made it harder on themselves than they needed to. The Colts are the very slight favorites going into the matchup, but both teams have played well this season — the Colts picking up and the Packers slowing down slightly. While it's hard to see this game as anything other than a quarterback matchup between Philip Rivers and Aaron Rogers, there will be more factors at play. The Colts shutdown the Titans which is a tall order, but they'll have to do it again against another strong offense. On the other side, the Colts' offense has been manageable, but it really needs a kick in the pants to mat...

Black Friday is starting early this year. If you've been paying any attention to recent sales, early Black Friday deals have been going on since mid October! At first glance, this game seems like it could be a blow out. The Steelers are the only team undefeated and the Jaguars are 1-8. Still Jacksonville remains agile and has come close in several of their losses that could have gone either way. It would be remarkable for them to snap the win streak for the Steelers, but if it happens, it will mean QB Jake Luton having a phenomenal game. Despite Luton being a second string and filling in during an injury, he has performed well enough. He needs to take the next step in power and accuracy. Equally as important will be for Luton to get the ball to rookie running back James Robinson as much as possible. The Steelers o-line needs to keep up the work of defending Rothenberger. He's been getting the coverage, but in this regard, more is always better. It's rare that a team doesn't need to adjust their game play, but in the case of Pittsburgh, it's probably best they just keep doing what they're doing. It's worked well up to this point.Pittsbu...

Everywhere we turn we see new miseries, but it's still important to give thanks for what we still have after 2020's chaos. My tree may be little, but it still brings me joy.Six more weeks until the end of this bizarre decade of a year, but this week is Thanksgiving and Black Friday, which will look very different for most Americans this year. Since you shouldn't be having big family feasts — and all the stores will be closed — Thanksgiving can focus a little less on getting stuffed and a little more on reflection and giving. It can seem difficult to be grateful when we're still in the midst of a global pandemic, millions are facing layoffs — or worse, grieving a lost friend or family member — and even the nightmare of the 2020 election refuses to end, despite there being no honorable path to a Trump victory. (Not that honor would matter to this administration.) But reminding ourselves what we have, and what we have to look forward to, can help raise our spirits. It does...

After starting slow this year the Minnesota Vikings have looked great lately led by star running back Dalvin Cook and veteran QB Kirk Cousins. In fact, Kirk finally got the first MNF win of his career on Monday, but now the team has a fast turnaround as they face the Cowboys. Here's how to watch it live. The Dallas Cowboys (2-7) and Minnesota Vikings (4-5) face off on Sunday in an NFC battle that could end up giving the Vikings a wildcard spot if they get lucky. And while the Cowboys are coming off a bye week and hopefully have an actual plan at Quarterback, the bigger problem will be slowing down the speedster Dalvin Cook. It's not all bad in Dallas though, as Garrett Gilbert looked surprisingly great a few weeks ago and almost led the Cowboys to a win against the Steelers. The team could really use a win right now, and maybe they'll get one in Minnesota.Keep in mind that the Vikings are a solid 8-point favorite at this point, and have put a lot more positive film on tape sugges...

That's $100 off its regular price and the first real discount on this version of the Beam since it was released earlier this year. This price drop is part of a larger Sonos Black Friday sale that includes devices like the Sonos Move we shared earlier today. The Beam is a sound bar and as such it pairs really well with a subwoofer if you need some chest-thumping bass with your sound. Lucky for you, the 3rd-generation Sonos Sub is being discounted for Black Friday as well. You can get it for $100 off its regular price at $599 or just get the 3.1 Surround Sound set that includes both the Sonos Beam and the Sonos Sub for $898, which is the discounted price you'd get for buying them individually.Did you get a fancy new 4K TV for Black Friday? Grab the Sonos Move Bluetooth smart speaker for just $299 at Amazon. That price is $100 off what it normally sells for and a very unique deal. The Sonos Move has been out for more than a year now and this is the first major sale we've seen. Sonos is not a company that does "deals" very often, and they really haven't done many this year at all, so you should be pretty excited to see this drop. This is a Black Friday deal, and it might not even last until Black Friday considering how popular Sonos is.Our review of the Sonos Move gave it 4.5 stars out of 5 and a badge calling it one of The Best speakers around. Daniel Bader's biggest hit against the Move in his review is the price, but that's not really a concern today, is it? He said, "The Sonos Move is a bigger, better-sounding Sonos One that you can abuse — and leave the house with. That means it sounds fantastic and is incredibly versatile."The Move lives up to its name by being a portable speaker with a rechargeable battery. ...

The injury bug continues to hit every team in the NFL here throughout 2020. That reality rings true for both of these teams, as the Panthers and Lions are both dealing with Quarterback issues. Either way, this is a battle of two big cat teams, and one will come out ahead. Here's how to watch it live from anywhere in the world. While Matthew Stafford worked through a neck injury last week, this week he's dealing with problems on his throwing hand and thumb. He'll likely play, but things look a bit bleaker in Carolina as Teddy Bridgewater has some sort of MCL damage.Earlier in the week, all bets were off while sites wait for updates to injuries. And honestly, that's exactly what fans on both sides of the ball need to know. Whoever wins this game will likely come down to which team is able to get healthy, or have the most stars on the field. The Lions have struggled for much of the season and sit at 4-5 while the Panthers are 3-7 and not looking any better. A big part of that loss c...

Let's just cut to the chase. The Instant Pot Duo Evo Plus 6-quart pressure cooker is on sale for $69.99 at Amazon. That's a huge drop in price for an Instant Pot that normally sells for $120 and has never sold for less than $100 before. So not only is this a brand new low price, it's also one that isn't going to last very long. The sale is part of Amazon's daily deals and new Black Friday week-long sales event, so it's scheduled to expire at the end of the day.The Duo Plus has a 1200w heating element, which helps reduce preheating time and makes meals faster. You'll cook up to 70% faster with the Instant Pot versus traditional means. Plus this cooker uses a new "quick cool" feature that shortens the pressure release time. The easy-seal lid automatically seals the pressure cooker, too, and the stream diffusing cover takes the fear out of the pressure release process. As someone who regularly uses his own Instant Pot, I can assure you the steam release part is the scariest part and I...

The Marshall Stanmore II Bluetooth speaker is down to $199.99. This is the version with Alexa built-in that normally sells for as much as $400, so this is the best value today. There's a version without Alexa that normally sells for $350, and it's also down to $200. Obviously the savings aren't as good there, but if you prefer not having Alexa for whatever reason you can go with that speaker, which is also down to a great low price today. Head over to Best Buy where you'll find both of these deals price matched as well. The speaker uses Bluetooth 5.0 technology, which allows for a low latency connection that doesn't use much power and doesn't get interupted. It even uses the aptX codec for a smoother audio experience and lossless wireless sound. The multi-host functionality of the speaker allows you to connect two different Bluetooth devices and easily switch between them. Of course you don't have to just connect via Bluetooth either. The speaker has an RCA connection and a 3.5mm in...

No need to panic.Earlier this week, Twitter officially rolled out Fleets, a new feature that — ahem — takes inspiration from Instagram Stories and Snapchat Stories, and boy do people have opinions on it. I get it, ephemeral posts have invaded nearly every social network (and even tangentially social sites like LinkedIn), and for those who aren't interested in using them, they can feel like they're just in the way without the option to disable them. But just as many are doing with Fleets, I resisted Instagram Stories at launch, baselessly claiming that the platform was destroying itself by needlessly copying the competition. A few years later, nearly everyone I follow posts to Stories as often as — and in many cases, more often than they post to their feed. Stories have become an integral and deeply social aspect of Instagram, and I suspect the same will eventually happen with Fleets on Twitter.Blame SnapchatWhy are ephemeral posts so popular? So why are people so into...

Best answer: If you are looking for more storage and stability, despite the slightly higher price, an SSD is your best bet. Not only does an SSD provide the same storage capabilities of other drives, but they'll help load your games faster, giving you an even better experience while you play.Bigger and faster: 1TB WD Blue SSD ($105 at Amazon)SSD drives offer speed, stability, and storage in your PS4In general, a solid state drive (SSD) is much faster than your normal drives. Mechanical drives, like HDDs, have moving parts whereas an SSD does not. The easiest way to think of it is that an SSD is like a larger memory stick.
