Next-gen immersion in a hands-on fashion. The PS5 doesn't just bring in better graphics and higher framerates — it also gives players a new controller, the DualSense. This successor to the DualShock 4 features a higher-quality built-in microphone, a refined touchpad, an improved battery, and most importantly, haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Those latter two features can be used by game developers in unique ways. Haptic feedback can give unique sensations, like the pattering of rain or a blast of energy, in a way that is more focused and accurate than rumble motors. Meanwhile, adaptive triggers can provide a variety of functions with different weapons due to the special physical functions that have been implemented. To provide a couple of examples, adaptive triggers are being used in Arkane Studios' Deathloop so that if a gun jams, the trigger physically locks. Meanwhile in Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, you can pull a trigger partially to fire one barrel on a particular g...

The Galaxy Note 10 is a gorgeous sight to behold and offers a large, bezel-less display in a form factor that's easier to hold than past Notes. As striking as it is, the large screen, glass back, and thin metal frame likely won't hold up that well in the event of a fall. Want to ensure the Note 10 stays looking good for years to come? Having a chat with the AC forums.I think it's safe to say that the Pixel 5 is one of the most interesting Android phones of 2020. The device itself might seem boring at first glance, but from a business perspective, it's fascinating.Rather than competing toe-to-toe with Samsung and Apple in the traditional flagship race, Google decided to do something different with the Pixel 5. It opted for a lesser processor, didn't go overboard with the camera sensors, and the end result is a phone that delivers a high-end experience for a lot less money than the competition. However, this move has gotten some people debating whether or not the Pixel 5 is a legit flagship — so much so that we're seeing rumors about Google having plans to release a more premium version of the Pixel 5 in March. Some of our AC forum members have commented on this news, saying: htcrazy 10-30-2020 06:47 PM “ According to Tom'...

Best answer: You'll have a few different choices when it comes to buying a Fitbit Inspire 2 replacement charger. You can buy one directly from Fitbit or you can explore some of the options from third-party sellers.Tiny but mighty tracker: Fitbit Inspire 2 ($99 at Amazon)Juice it up: Fitbit Inspire 2 replacement charger ($10 at Walmart)Finding a Fitbit Inspire 2 replacement chargerIf you've dabbled with Fitbit fitness trackers at all, you're probably familiar with the fact that the company is constantly changing its proprietary charging cables as time goes on. The Fitbit Inspire 2 is no exception to this unfortunate habit. If you previously owned the Fitbit Inspire or Inspire HR, you won't be able to use your old charger with the Inspire 2.Considering that this fitness tracker offers a whopping 10 days of battery life on a single charge, you'll want to make sure you've got a charger around to take advantage of it. While you can always purchase one directly from the company,...

Cozy up to Wi-Fi 6 anywhere you could possibly want it — even outside.Linksys Velop products regularly top our list of best mesh routers, and the new Linksys Velop AX4200 is a more affordable version of our favorite Wi-Fi 6 mesh system. It may offer a lower maximum theoretical wireless speed than the higher-end Velop MX5/MX10, but it doesn't cut out any of the important features or compatibility with other Linksys products that make the Velop family so darned good. It's also a lot less money — for $500, you'll be getting a 3-pack of Velop AX4200's which are rated to cover over 8,000 square feet of space. Compare that with the Velop MX10, which is $600 for a 2-pack that only covers 6,000 square feet, and you'll immediately understand the value proposition. Since it's Wi-Fi 6, you can use advanced high-speed wireless devices like the Oculus Quest 2 in ways that Wi-Fi 5 just didn't allow. On top of that, each Velop AX4200 node sports three usable gigabit LAN ports, giving you ni...

A great game gets an even better sequel, and you're all going to love it.Marvel's Spider-Man dominated the gaming world in 2018. It was gorgeous, compelling, and had just about everything we wanted to see in a Spider-Man game. The cinematics and fluid gameplay helped spectators feel like they were watching a movie instead of a game, made all the more real by the most accurate representation of NYC ever experienced in a game like this. The story was amazing, the sidequests and accessory hunting was spectacular, and this Peter Parker was marvelous. (I will not be apologizing for that sentence, lets move on.)It was clear at the end of that game there was only one way to go for a sequel — both in terms of story and cultural trends. Marvel's Spider-Man came out right next to the globally adored Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse movie, where we saw Miles Morales take center stage as the awkward teenage web-slinger for the first time. While the Miles in the animated movie and the Mile...

The world may be on fire but at least the PS5 is finally here to distract you.Sony is launching its most ambitious console to date on Nov. 12, 2020 with the PS5. The company dominated last generation with the PS4 and silenced naysayers who said that console gaming was dead. After selling upwards of 112 million units over the last seven years, Sony hopes to replicate its success with the PlayStation 5, which has already shattered pre-sales of its predecessor in a fraction of the time. If you're looking to buy a PS5, just be aware that the demand is immense right now, and it could be a while before you're able to find one in stock.Because I have only had a week with the PS5 and there are certain areas that I'm not allowed to talk about until launch — the media section, entertainment apps, the integrated PlayStation Store, and the PS Plus section — this review will be more of a review in-progress that I update with my thoughts along the way. The aforementioned sections are still...

This modern 3D platformer is fueled by brand love. There was once a time when pack-in bundled games were regarded as the very best games available for that new console. You bought a Super Nintendo to play Super Mario World because it came in the box. The Sega Genesis came with Altered Beast, but eventually they switched that to Sonic the Hedgehog. Those days are mostly gone since game and console bundles are instead used as marketing devices to boost sales mid-generation.Luckily, Sony seems intent on reliving their past in more than one way with the launch of the PS5. Not only is Astro's Playroom a fantastic little 3D platformer that proves Astro has real mascot potential for the PlayStation brand, but it's also an excellent demo for the DualSense controller and a no-brainer recommendation as the first game anyone should play on their newly opened PlayStation 5.At a glanceAstro's Playroom ...
