Bitdefender has provided great security solutions for years and continues to do so with its Antivirus Plus 2020 for Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10. With a basic free version available as well, no matter what level of protection you need, Bitdefender has a solution. Even with Windows being more secure than ever as an OS and also offering a lot of protection from malicious software, there are still reasons to go with a separate antivirus solution like Bitdefender.Back in the days of Windows XP, third-party antivirus software was a must. Even when Microsoft launched its own security software, it still lagged far behind a boxed solution from companies that specialized in PC security. Today, Windows PCs are much more secure out of the box, and if you keep your system updated, the included Windows Defender software is great.Where Defender lags is in the user experience. Windows Defender's settings are buried in the system settings and are perhaps a little less obviou...

You may have heard the term Voice over LTE or VoLTE and not realized exactly what it was or why your phone would need to use it. VoLTE is just a fancy way of saying that your phone is using a portion of the LTE data spectrum for voice calls, which should result in a more consistent signal and clearer calls. Most modern phones will have this setting turned on by default, though there may be reasons why an OEM or carrier didn't have it activated to begin with (having to do with the phone's internals or the telecom network). The OnePlus 8 Pro brings the best and most capable camera system OnePlus has ever put in a phone, thanks to a new primary sensor and improved processing. You still get a dedicated telephoto and ultra-wide camera, too, giving you extra shooting options to inject some variety into your photos. Here's how you can make the most of it all for the best photos.Clean the damn camera lensesThis isn't specific to the OnePlus 8 Pro, but an important tip nonetheless: clean your camera lenses! As smartphones get to the point of having three or more lenses, there's a lot back there to accidentally touch and smudge up throughout your daily use of the phone. Nothing else matters if your lenses are smudged up.No matter what you do with your software, framing, and a steady hand, if your camera lens is dirty, it's all a waste of time. Be sure to regularly take a look at your camera lenses and giv...

It's not a new game, it's not live, but it is new sports related content and we are here for it. There's no denying that Michael Jordan is one of the best players who has ever stepped foot on the basketball court, and right now you can take a look back at his incredible career through a new documentary mini series called 'The Last Dance'. The first two of the ten episodes have already aired on ESPN, and if you happened to miss them you can still tune in and watch before the next one airs. The series contains a mixture of gameplay from Jordan's time with the bulls, present day interviews, and some exclusive rare archival footage. It follows along with the story behind Jordan's departure from the team, which was due to Phil Jackson being removed as head coach despite the winning streak the team was on. Originally, the series was set to debut later this year, but thanks to the lack of sports and the troubling times we are facing right now ESPN has decided to push things up.There are ...

Bose is known not only for comfortable headphones, but for excellent sound quality, so getting a pair of Bose headphones might be worth the investment. Bose's Noise Canceling Headphones 700 are the company's most innovative headphone to date. They feature 11 different steps of active noise cancelation, great battery life with up to 20 hours on a single charge, USB-C, and solid sound quality.Best Overall: Bose Noise Canceling Headphones 700The Bose Noise Canceling Headphones 700 are the latest addition to the company's headphone lineup, but they're also, by far, its most innovative. The headlining feature here are the NCH 700s' active noise cancelation (ANC) capabilities. The outgoing Bose QC35 II were solid at active noise cancelation but were clearly showing their age. However, the NCH 700 now feature some of the best ANC available on the market today. With new ANC algorithms, they're able to block out nearly all bass/low-end noise and a decent amount of midrange and treble. ...

The world has changed, our lives have changed, and so too will our technology. In an article published 54 days ago, I noted in passing that COVID-19 would surely become one of the defining stories of the year. Looking back now, that statement seems equally optimistic and naive. Lockdown-enhanced clarity, of course, is 20/20. This mess and its extensive fallout is clearly going to be the only story of this year, and probably also the next.Everyone's lives have been impacted in some way by the pandemic — whether directly by its immediate health effects, the economy being thoroughly clobbered, the travel restrictions, the curbs on usual freedoms, or the psychological effects of isolation. It's become clichéd to point out how not-normal things have become. As much as everyone desperately wants a return to the old normal, it's becoming increasingly obvious that the new one isn't going away anytime soon. In recent days, scientists have warned of a very slow return to the pre-coronav...

There are a number of reasons why you might need to factory reset your Android phone. Maybe your phone is overloaded with apps and running slow, or you've downloaded a recent update and it's causing problems with your phone's functionality. Maybe you just want to reset it because you're selling your phone (you should always do this when selling an old device, by the way). Here's how to factory reset your Android phone through the phone settings or via the recovery mode. How to factory reset your phone from the settings menuBefore we get started, know that a factory reset will erase all the data on your phone. If you haven't backed up your contacts, pictures, videos, documents, and anything else (preferably in the cloud), you should do so now. Not sure where to back up your data before a factory reset? Read our guide on how to do that first.Given the variety of phones available on Android, I'll be using the Pixel 3a and Samsung's Galaxy A51 as the examples for this guide. The P...
