The captains have been announced, the drafts are complete and now the action is all set to start for this year's NBA All-Star Game. LA Lakers legend LeBron James and reigning NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo both received the most fan votes and are once again the captains for this year's exhibition match which showcases 24 of the league's star players. The format of tonight's All-Star Game has been changed somewhat, with some of those changes made in order to honor Kobe Bryant who tragically died last month in a helicopter crash. Each of the first three quarters this year will have the score set to 0-0, with the winning side of each receiving $100,000 per quarter for a Chicago-based charity of their choice. The fourth quarter will be untimed and will see each side trying to reach a target of 24 points (Bryant's old uniform number) more than the total of whichever team has the lead at the end of third quarter (i.e., if the team in the lead has 100 points, the target score would be 124...

I feel better about this foldable than any other I've seen.I was one of the first people outside of Samsung to use the Galaxy Fold, which of course ended up having a very rocky launch that left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. Some diehard fans still love the Fold (at least the revised hardware version), but it was never going to be a phone for me. It's too big and heavy, and the screen is inherently so fragile and so odd feeling in the fingers for me to consider making it my daily phone. That's why I'm ecstatic to have used the new Galaxy Z Flip. Whereas the Fold starts, nominally, at the size of a normal phone and expands into a mini-tablet, the Z Flip starts at the size of a normal phone and folds down to something more more compact and pocketable. At the same time, Samsung's introduced a screen covering that's much more resistant to damage in daily use, with hinge improvements that promise better longevity as well. There are, theoretically, far fewer compromises at play here....

Here we go again. What you need to knowAfter a durability test, Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip foldable phone damages with the same ease as plastic.Samsung contends that screen is more durable than other plastic displays.Samsung will offer $119 screen replacements and a free professional screen protector application. In a twist absolutely everyone saw coming, it looks like Samsung's Ultra Thin Glass — the brand new polymer developed specifically for foldable phones — is not quite as durable as the glass consumers are used to on most smartphones.According to a durability test provided by YouTuber Zack Nelson, also known as JerryRigEverything, the Galaxy Z Flip's inner display scratches with the same ease as the Galaxy Fold's and Motorola RAZR's, both of which are covered with malleable plastic. This is despite the Flip reportedly using Ultra Thin Glass, which Samsung describes on its website thusly: Meet the first-ever folding glass screen on a Galaxy. Yeah, we said fol...

Don't miss the first big race of the 2020 seasonThe wait is over and the 2020 NASCAR season begins this weekend with the 62nd annual Daytona 500 at the Daytona International Speedway in Florida. You'll be able to watch the main race on Sunday, February 16.NASCAR does things a bit differently than other sports as it starts out each new season with one of its biggest events of the year, the Daytona 500 also referred to as the Great American Race. The race itself is actually the culmination of Daytona Speedweeks which is made up of a week of qualifiers and practices that lead up to the Daytona 500. This year will also be the last for NASCAR's Generation 6 cars before "Next Gen" cars are introduced in 2022.The Daytona 500 is held on a 2.5-mile long track and drivers need to complete 200 laps around the oval-shaped course to reach a total of 500 miles. This was considered a crucial part of the format's success. Consoles have been used as entertainment systems for the past 20 years and Blu-ray is still considered a better viewing experience to online streaming. However, since video quality continues to improve and 4K TVs have become more prevalent in home, the release of the PS4 Pro without a 4K Blu-ray drive was a shock. A new season of smartphones is here, and the lack of MWC is not going to slow it down.Samsung Unpacked has come and gone, and while there wasn't much left in the surprises department for the Galaxy S20 series, I'm happy the devices are official and out and we can finally talk about them. I know Mirror Purple on the Z Flip is so lovely — we'll get there in a minute — but aren't the Cloud Pink and Cloud Blue colors this year just so pretty?! And I'm personally excited because hopefully, that won't go full trick mirror when photographing it. I mean, the Note 10's Aura Blue was beautiful, but that photographing that mirror-like back glass in clear case reviews was an exercise in angle refraction, misdirection, and straight-up photo magic. Now that the S20 Ultra will also be using the Note 10's weirdly specific rules for 45W charging, maybe this year we'll finally get some reliable third-party chargers, because I don't think I can take another six months of chargers that say they...

May the Force be with you always — on your phone! The Star Wars franchise has seen some great games come and go over the years. I'd like to take a moment to pour one out for Star Wars: Force Arena, a MOBA-style game that was shut down almost a year ago. It was easily the best Star Wars mobile game I've played and it's a shame that it was not viable or whatever reason the developers had for shutting down the servers.I'll also note that this list does not include any AR-experiences or lightsaber simulators because, despite how cool they might be, they are novelties and not really games that you can get enjoyment out for any true length of time. With all that out of the way, here are the best Star Wars games you can still play for Android!Check out the Best Games for Android of 2020LEGO Star Wars gamesI don't know if anyone expected the LEGO Star Wars games to be as good as they are, but they're some of the best Star Wars games you can play on console, or on mobile!The...

The Galaxy S20 is Samsung's most expensive halo device yet — but you get a lot for that money, and there are still other great options.Ever since Samsung announced its trio of Galaxy S20 phones, there's been a lot of talk about these steep new four-figure price tags. It's well-warranted; the baseline S20 runs $100 more than last year's Galaxy S10 at launch, and that's not even factoring in the cheaper and more compact S10e — for which there's no sequel. This new pricing structure puts the S20 right in line with Apple's iPhone 11 Pro, but pricier than most other Android options. So what's the rationale behind this price hike? And why should you buy the Galaxy S20, let alone the even more expensive S20+ or S20 Ultra, when you can get a phone like the OnePlus 7T (one of my favorite releases of 2019) for quite literally half the price?First off, it's definitely expensive5G is largely to blame. Right now, the best smartwatch for Android users is the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2. It's optimized for Samsung phones but runs well on all Android devices and has all the smartwatch and fitness features you'd expect. It's compact and lightweight but still offers good battery life. But if you're not into that one, the good news is that there are so many other amazing options from Fossil to Garmin to Fitbit and more.Best Overall — Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2You don't have to use a Samsung phone to enjoy the benefits of owning a Samsung smartwatch, and the Galaxy Watch Active 2 provides the most well-rounded wearables experience for Android users right now. It's compact and lightweight but features an extremely sharp and vivid touch display that's easy to navigate and fun to use thanks to the new capacitive bezel. The Tizen OS is smooth and battery-friendly, unlike Google's own Wear OS, and while the app selection isn't massive, the core tenets are there, like Spotify, Stra...

The Galaxy Note 10 is a gorgeous sight to behold. Samsung's latest entry in the Note series is a lot more manageable than past Notes, offering a large, bezel-less display in a form factor that's easy to hold. As striking as it is it may be, however, the large screen, glass back, and thin metal frame mean it likely won't hold up that well in the event of a fall. Taking visual search to a whole new level. What you need to knowGoogle appears to be testing a radically different search results page with lots of visual imagery. These search results are only appearing on Google searches performed on a desktop browser, not mobile devices. While it's light on text, the visual distinction between search results and ads is incredibly stark.Google is testing a new page design for desktop search results, and it's a rather jarring way of viewing information. When performing a Google search from a desktop computer, some users are being given the mobile AMP search results, but with even fewer words than you'll find on a mobile device. The result is a string of search results littered with pretty pictures and little more than a headline to identify the search result in question. When pasting the new results next to the page design that most people will experience today, the difference is substantial, to say the least. Playing a great mobile game is like eating a bag of Oreos: you can enjoy each bite-sized morsels at a reasonable pace or just demolish sleeve after sleeve until it's done.In Cookies Must Die, you play as Jack, a secret agent with superpowers who's been dispatched to destroy an army of mutated cookies that are threatening to destroy the city. These cookies are heavily armed — but so are you.
