I'll be honest with you, I'm having some trouble typing this over my insides crying out for retroactive justice. See, when I bought my Dyson Ball Animal 2 upright vacuum, I paid full price for it. But that full price at the time was, let's just say, a lot more than it is today. So when I saw this regularly $500 vacuum on sale for $240, I just had to put my hat in the ring for a recommendation.Dyson is kind of like Apple: their products are really good and extremely, often prohibitively, expensive. They're also well-designed and generally perform well, though they have a few quirks to figure out. The Dyson Ball Animal 2 is no exception: it's really powerful, and can extract dirt from floors and carpets most other vacuums can't. It's also really easy to maneuver around tight spaces despite the massive head and ball-rotating turbine. This deal doesn't suckDyson Ball Animal 2 Upright VacuumThe Dyson Ball Animal 2 vacuum is one of the best purchases I've ever made. But while most are considering where to get the best price on a laptop they've been eyeing, or how to get the cheapest phone or other consumer electronics device, why not spare a thought for how you might protect those devices and your privacy?VPNs are super useful for our increasingly internet-connected lives. If you spend any time at all banking or shopping online, or even surfing on public Wi-Fi hotspots at your favorite coffee shop, you could benefit from a VPN.What is a VPN?VPN stands for Virtual Private Network. A VPN takes your Internet connection and makes it more secure, by cloaking your internet activity in anonymity and stops you from being tracked across the web for advertising, having your traffic intercepted, or running into malicious sites. They are also great if you want to access content that is blocked in your region as you can use one to appear as if you are in another cou...

By far one of my favorite things in my tech kit is my camera, which has been to countless cities and countries with me for both work and pleasure. I love shooting video (and the occasional photos), and few cameras nail both quite as well as the Sony a7 III.If you've watched any of my Android Central videos in the last year, you've already seen plenty of footage from the a7 III. It's an incredibly versatile camera that does amazingly well in virtually any lighting conditions, even near-pitch dark environments, making it a great option for anyone who shoots in often unpredictable situations.Right now for Black Friday weekend, the a7 III is 10% off, which may not sound like much, but for such a pricey purchase, that sale will save you hundreds of dollars. My daily cameraSony a7 IIIIncredibly slim 4K full frame mirrorless cameraThe a7 III shoots stunning 4K video with incredible depth of field thanks to its full frame sensor. I'd be lying if I said most of the tech that I buy, or get for review, changes my life. A new phone is great, but it's still a phone. Smart lights are nice, but they just turn on and off, or different colors. But one thing I bought in the past year truly changed my life for the better, and it's a product I cannot stop recommending. In fact, it's such a good product that I bought two of them this year for family members whose houses I visit a lot — mainly to make things more convenient for me.Press itNest x Yale Lock with Nest ConnectThe Nest x Yale Lock is one of those truly unassuming products that, once installed, will utterly change your life. Do you ever take a selfie and think, "man, I should print a load of these out and stick them up around the place to remind myself of how awesome I am?" No? Well, even still, this photo printer is pretty rad, and it's on sale.We live in an age of Instagrams, Tiktoks, and Snapchats. Nobody ever prints their photos anymore, wishing them away into a digital ether never to be seen again. Every now and then it's okay to indulge your inner boomer and go for something a little more analog, like, oh I don't know, physical photographs. Insane I know.Few people actually print and keep their own photos nowadays, but they can be fun to create gifts or mementos for loved ones, commemorate a special occasion, or create postcards. This printer comes with extra ink, photo paper, and everything you need to get started printing pictures wirelessly or via USB. You can use the HP Smart app on a mobile phone to send images across as well, skipping the need for a full-blown PC.Print 'em upHP ENV...

I've been using Samsung's T5 portable SSD for years now, and it's without a doubt one of my favorite pieces of tech in my kit. A super convenient lock that allows you to monitor who is coming and going from your home.I absolutely love this Schlage Encode smartlock. Unlike many other smart locks out there, this one features built-in Wi-Fi, so you don't need an external hub to allow it to access the internet. Once it's connected to your network, you can control it using the app or your smart home assistant. In addition to looking gorgeous, it allows you to give out up to 100 different access codes. It then lets you know whenever someone enters your home using their specific code. For instance, if your teen uses their code to enter the house, the app sends you a notification that the door has been opened by that specific person. Additionally, if you have a nanny, maid, or are renting your place out as a bed and breakfast, you can create temporary codes that expire after a specific date.Schlage Encode Smart LockThis smart lock features built-in Wi-Fi, works with Amazon Alexa, is super easy to install, an...

An earlier design has been confirmed. What you need to knowA few months back, design images for the PlayStation 5 devkit were leaked.Today, a new picture of these devkits surfaced on Twitter. If it's good enough for the armed forces, it's good enough for me.Despite some bumps earlier in the year, LulzBot has been making quality printers for a long time now. The LulzBot Mini 2 is the companies most compact printer, but it still offers all of the same features as its big brother, the Taz 6. With an extra thick PEI bed and an auto-leveling system that is second to none, the Mini 2 rarely fails any print you ask it to make.As I mentioned over on my review, I printed prints on this printer at layer heights, I would never have believed could produce such good results. At 0.3mm layer heights, it looked just as good as other printers at 0.1mm. Quit counting sheep and slip under some cooling new sheets!I don't know about you, but I'm very particular about the sheets I sleep under. If the sheets are too stiff, they won't conform to your body and let a draft in. If they're too grippy, they won't slide properly and you'll get tangled up in them. If they're too thick, you'll overheat in the middle of the night. I should know: I've bought sheets this year that unfortunately did all three, and when I needed a good night's sleep, what I came back to was good ol' Mellanni.Lullaby and goodnightMellanni Brushed Microfiber Bed Sheet Set (Queen)The sheets I find a good night's sleep on.These sheets stay cool in the summer, have the perfect amount of slide so that they won't bind up against you in the middle of the night, and they come in a wide arry of bold, dark, and light colors.$19.76 $24.70 $4.94 offSee at AmazonI sleep under a weighted blanket (which is also on sale) and the Mellanni sheets are the perfect pairing ...
