Today NVIDIA announced its support for Arm CPUs, providing the high performance computing industry a new path to build extremely energy-efficient, AI-enabled exascale supercomputers. "NVIDIA is making available to the Arm ecosystem its full stack of AI and HPC software — which accelerates more than 600 HPC applications and all AI frameworks — by year’s end. The latest TOP500 list of the world's fastest supercomputers is out today, marking a major milestone in the 26-year history of the list. For the first time, all 500 systems deliver a petaflop or more on the Linpack benchmark. "Frontera at TACC is the only new supercomputer in the top 10, which attained its number five ranking by delivering 23.5 petaflops on HPL. ISC 2019 opens today in Frankfurt. A total of over 3,500 attendees are expected at this year’s show, now in its 34th year. "Running through Thursday this week, the conference kicks off at 9:00 am on Monday, June 17 with a keynote and the announcement of the 53rd TOP500.
