Text console game.
Same/Similar quality as boatloads of other text console games in Debian.
One of the only programs of its type in the field (text console _casino_ games).

Yes thanks! Thats what I meant, mind typo. 1366x768 is like the plague here. It is really hard to find another resolution on mainstream stores...

Edit: the list of W3Counter's statistics corroborates this. Didn't know that it was winning by that much :D

BeagleBoard, not BeagleBone. Two different devices. GP said BeagleBoard, which did originally sell for over $100; you countered with BeagleBone, an entirely different device. To my knowledge, none of the original BeagleBoards had GigE, but this newest one does.

I would have liked to see an option for "depends on where I am", personally. When I'm at work, 1600x900. At home on the PC, 1680x1050 + 1024x768. Consuming media on my tablet, 2560x1600.

I'm surprised to see TT-RSS not mentioned. With the death of Google Reader looming in December 2012, I switched to a self-hosted instance of TT-RSS, and I read it across all my machines and my phone.

It has article expanders and filtering, so there's a little bit of overlap with some of the other services you mention. Having used it for close to 2 years now, I can highly recommend it.

One of the things that annoys me about all existing social networks is that none of them let you connect the RSS feed for your blog for auto-posting. Instead, you have to find a third-party service that provides this functionality via your preferred silo's API, and hope the API doesn't break.

Those people passing those laws, and those activists, need to be killed.
Sometimes they are killed in Pakistan and Afghanistan. This is a good thing.
Sometimes advanced forms of such activists are killed in Russia, this is also a shocking, almost unbelievable, but good thing.

Girl children are often very pretty and cute. They are desirable to males. For that reason
it is bad that such laws you are talking about are passed.

Additionally straight up forcible rape of an unespoused young girl is fine in the Old Testament
(Deuteronomy 22 28-29 (hebrew)), though the man must pay the father and keep the girl if discovered.

That same book also states that those trying to get someone to follow another rule/judge/god (the hebrew can mean any of these things) than that found there is to be killed.

IE: The activists you speak of.
The Pakistanis, the Afghans, Putin's friend from the caucuses, they are all doing what the Old Testament God
of the book of Deuteronomy commands.

There were zero proper reasons to reject the program. Debian packages many text console games of similar value and complexity.

The Debian developers rejected the game solely because they are feminists.

well, i am using hdmi, not dvi at the moment. couldn't be sure whether your tv handle that input differently or not. my smartv still seems to do a bit of processing while in gamemode...its not crazy, but i'm sure there are players out there who would take issue.

Hmm... Newegg doesn't show any monitors with 1440 x 768. Maybe 1368 x 768?

I mainly just included the resolutions that had over 90 results from Newegg.

All of the "problems" that you listed, I think are actually quite good developments
I am not 100% sure of that. It could introduce "bottlenecks" into Linux. At the moment if I don't like Gnome3 or pulseaudio I just don't use them. I don't know if the current development leads in a direction, which might limit this choice in the future.

I was into FreeBSD before Linux. I'm still interested in its development, as its an alternative development to LInux. I think we're all better for having different operating systems exploring their own paths. I really only switched off FreeBSD, due to some performance issues it had running common FOSS applications due to its threading library.

I think Linux is still very much ahead in os design. All of the "problems" that you listed, I think are actually quite good developments ( except Unity ). But I trust FreeBSD to come up with something cool, none-the-less. BSD's always do great stuff. Just not as fast to keep up with Linux.

No, I wasn't saying that I agreed with the position. I was saying that is why the decision was made. And frankly, as others have pointed out there were plenty of other reasons to reject the program.

Well, if the "men" are trying to "marry" "young girls" I should hope that someone steps in then slowly and carefully explains to them what statutory rape is.
Laws are being passed around the world to prevent forced marriage, and prevent marriage before the age of 18. This is a Good Thing.
If you disagree, then please state why.

Perhaps, centuries ago, when a self proclaimed prophet walked the earth who had a lust for pubescent girls this behaviour was accepted. It is not so now.

Mikee! I'd almost completely forgotten about you!

Those of you unfamiliar with them might find Mikee's maps for the old Linux crossfire rpg enlightening. Apart from being horribly buggy, they have "views" that were certainly never mainstream spread throughout them. Female characters have ridiculous, puerile dialogue, bizarre references to torturing feminists and being rewarded with child brides abound... the whole thing seemed completely unhinged.
