The Mozilla blog has disclosedthat the official Mozilla instance of Bugzilla was recentlycompromised by an attacker who stole "security-sensitiveinformation" related to unannounced vulnerabilities inFirefox—in particular, the PDFViewer exploit discovered on August 5. The blog post explains thatMozilla has now taken several steps to reduce the risk of futureattacks using Bugzilla as a stepping stone. "As an immediatefirst step, all users with access to security-sensitive informationhave been required to change their passwords and use two-factorauthentication. We are reducing the number of users with privilegedaccess and limiting what each privileged user can do. In other words,we are making it harder for an attacker to break in, providing feweropportunities to break in, and reducing the amount of information anattacker can get by breaking in."

There is always something to be excited about, whether it's an upcoming holiday or the release of the next big Marvel movie. We've gotten used to seeing countdowns to that special something, and now you can wear one right on your wrist. Countdown Watch Face is available for your Android Wear device. It's got some nifty options to personalize how it looks and acts along with the important part — the countdown timer. The Countdown Watch Face is a really versatile watch face that you should definitely check it. It's got a futuristic feel, along with tons of options, and a countdown timer right in the middle of the screen. The default screen is red and black, with a digital readout of the time and an analog face around the edge of the screen. On your smartwatch, there actually aren't any options. At all. Your options are all available on your smartphone, and they're broken into multiple categories; Countdown, Watch, Weather, and Colors. There are two more categories, but neither have any options so we're just going to ignore them. In Countdown you can decide whether or not your timer will be visible, along with setting a date and time that you are counting down to, and text to show on your screen.

We've been messing with BB-8 by Sphero for a few hours now, and having a ton of fun patrolling the office and racing with the other Sphero robots we have in the office. If you're a fan of Star Wars, particularly the upcoming Force Awakens movie, this is undoubtedly going to be the toy to buy this year. Unfortunately, those of us running Android are going to have to wait a little while for one of the coolest things this rolling orange robot can do. In the promo video for BB-8 by Sphero, you see a demonstration of voice commands for the little robot. They work great, you can have BB-8 look around and patrol an area, move forwards and backwards, and even shout "it's a trap!" and have the little droid scurry off at max speed in whatever direction it is currently facing. Unfortunately, none of these voice commands work on Android just yet. In fact, the button to enable the feature isn't in the app settings at all, which is weird when you can see mention of voice actions in the BB-8 app description on the Play Store before the app was pulled (currently the APK is available on the Sphero website ).

Like I said, it's Android week in the technology world right now, but I'm not going to write a new post for every Android phone being thrown onto the world stage to be forgotten in a week. Instead, I'm going to focus on a few that I think are particularly interesting, and I'm going to start with Sony. The company has unveiled its Xperia Z5 line and it has to be said - the Z5 Compact, the Z5, and the Z5 Premium are absolutely gorgeous. In terms of essential specs, the three Z5s are pretty similar. (The main differences are size, materials, and screen resolution.) Thereâs the same Snapdragon 810 64-bit processor powering each of them, with both the Z5 and Z5 Premium sporting 3GB of RAM while the smaller Compact gets 2GB. All three devices are dust-tight and waterproof with capless micro USB ports, offer up to 32GB of internal memory (expandable up to 200GB with microSD cards), and have enough battery to last for up two days' use, says Sony. The Z5 Premium is a monster of a phone - it has a 4K display, which equates to 3840x2160 pixels and a ppi of 806. Pure insanity. Sony claims all three phones - even the Premium - get 2 days of use on a single charge. They look fantastic, but for some reason, nobody seems to buy Sony smartphones.Moving on, Lenovo unveiled a bunch of smartphones, and I think one of them might be of interest to many of you.The Vibe P1 and P1m slot in underneath the S1 just slightly, and they're all about simple features and battery life. The Vibe P1 is an all-metal affair, with a 5.5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, 13MP rear camera and an absolutely huge 5000 mAh battery. That battery enables reverse charging of other devices over USB, and sports quick charging capabilities. That's a positively huge battery, and should enable some major battery life.Lastly, there's a new company - lead by former Apple CEO John Sculley - who also unveiled two brand new Android smartphones. The company's called Obi, and their first two phones are the SF1 and SJ1.5. I'll be honest here - I want these phones' babies. They look fun, quirky, and different, and represent a welcome change from the boring, metallic, cold, hospital-esque stuff we get from other phone makers. They got decent specs, too. That being said, it's a startup - big name co-founder or no - and there's no information on availability and pricing yet, so for all I know, they're never going to be heard from again. Also, as with all the phones mentioned in this post, they're not running stock Android, so don't expect timely updates.Still, these are some interesting phones.

First look: Sony's Xperia Z5 brings a revamped camera, fingerprint security and a redesigned chassis
by Alex Dobie from Latest from Android Central on (#K9MG)
Sony takes a confident step forward with a new camera, redesigned chassis and fingerprint security After a shaky start to the year with the Xperia Z3+, Sony needed a great flagship to set its high-end smartphone series back on track. And the Xperia Z5 brings some much-needed advancements, most notably a brand new rear camera and fingerprint security technology. Sony's iterative march forward continues with yet another solid high-end Android phone — its second in a relatively short space of time. The new Xperia Z5 — the middle child now, sitting between the Compact and the Premium — sports a 5.2-inch 1080p display along with the same leading mobile hardware used across the Z5 line. That means there's a Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, with microSD expandability. As we've come to expect form Sony, the Z5 also packs IP65 and 68-rated water and dust-resistance, with capless ports for microUSB and headphones.
