Looking to buy the sig combo kit mentioned above. From what I’ve heard so far it’s a pretty good budget optic with magnifier combo… curious to know if anyone has had any bad experiences with this. I look for bad experiences to see what common issues are for it. The url to the sight is in the post. submitted by /u/Zerleodon

I like the Vaultek VT safe with the nano key but I dont like it enough to spend $350 on it. I was looking at rfid access safes and saw some people mention the Hornady Rapid Safe and the Konig safe. The Konig is $40 more than what I want to spend, I would love to keep this under $200 but I like the Konig enough to spend the little extra. Any recommendations of other safes to look at? My wish list is under $200, rfid or some type of access like that and keypad. Biometrics isnt a must. I will be purchasing multiple safes as I keep hand guns in different parts of the house, main priority is keeping my 2 year old from getting them. submitted by /u/clear831

Found this in the forest some years ago sticking out of the ground. Any ideas? As you can see it is heavily rusted, i tried sanding down some of the rust, what do you guys think, is it salvageable? Maybe with electrolysis and a lot of wire brushing etc.? Also has an emblem/logo on the underside of the barrel. 3 initials as far as i can tell, inside an oval shape with a crown, and there is a star inside the logo under all the initials. I ordered a “new” gun from a “reputable” broker on gunbroker and the gun arrived with some scratches ans scuffs but that isn’t my concern. The rear sight looks as if it was loctited on after the factory. Is this normal? I have reached out to the seller and feel as if I have been screwed. I've had my Diamondback DB15 for a about a year now, I've shot at the least 3k rounds through it already at the minimum. I really like it a lot but I'm starting to want something different. Humans are fickle creatures and with that being said Ive been looking at these colt m4 carbines, I like the look of them and I believe them to be sturdy well built firearms based off reviews and such. What do you guys think of them? Good? Bad? If you HAD sell your diamondback to own one of these would you? It's one of the other. submitted by /u/CursedxCore

Got a quick question for you all: I bought a used Savage 10 FCP-K and I'd like to replace the Accustock with an upgraded chassis. I was looking at the MDT ORYX but wondered if anyone had a specific recommendation for a chassis system in about the $500 range? Also, are the Savage 110 SA chassis compatible with the Model 10 series? It seems that they now only sell 110 LA and SA and I'm wondering if the fitment is the same as the older Model 10 series SA. Thanks for your input. Edit: plan to shoot 100 - 600 yards about, looking for something more comfortable than the factory stock (adjustable butt pad and cheek riser desired). Chambered in .308 Winchester. Just shooting for fun (not competition). submitted by /u/micahfett

Basically what the title says I am looking at buying a Schmidt–Rubin 1896/11 made in 1901. It has no rust on the action or barrel and the stock is in good condition. Is $450 for this rifle a good deal? submitted by /u/gerneric_username

Hey guys, Purchasing my first home in a month and need some advice for security measures. I’ve a pretty sizable gun collection that currently has been under lock and key in a secured closet at my father’s house. Place is a vault so no worries. The house I am moving into has 3bd and I aim to convert one of them into a gun room for all firearm related things. I plan on installing a camera in the room as well as a biometric fingerprint lock. Does anyone have any suggestions? I live alone and have a large dog, however frequently have “visitors” that spend the night and plan on having some parties coming up. So…biometric locks. Anyone have suggestions? I don’t have the cash right now for a full blown safe. Thanks! submitted by /u/holy2oledo

I've heard the new Automag is supposed to be reliable. And the DE is a limp wrist detector. Anyone know of a large bore semi auto that is reliable? Im talking self defense reliable. (No I'm not carrying it for self defense. Most of the time...) submitted by /u/Ok-Shoulder-478

This is the second handgun I’ve purchased. It’s surprisingly accurate considering the size of the barrel.the sights line up and you know you’re on target, unlike my Glock. I bought it cuz I wanted something comically small and cheap to shoot. It feels great, nothing loose, tight tolerances. I’ve seen some people say they have issues with theirs jamming, my first 5 rounds didn’t eject from the barrel. A bunch after that got jammed between the slide and barrel, I don’t know if that’s still called a stovepipe cuz they weren’t sticking straight up. I racked the slide probably a few hundred times with, letting the hammer back down gently each time so all the actions were worked out. That seems to have helped it out a bit but still get the occasional jam. In the manual it says to use standard velocity rounds, someone recommended using high velocity rounds so it has more power to eject the casing. Any thoughts or feedback would be cool submitted by /u/WhereDaGold

I’d love to use it as an overhanging mount, but it says on their website, that’s not what they are made for submitted by /u/Marofer

Was thinking of going to my 1st gun show this weekend and was not sure if it would be worth the trip. My friends told me I would be expected with overpriced firearms and overpriced “sporterized mosins”. Not sure if you guys have been to any shows this year to see if in fact the market is still overpriced. submitted by /u/Mshavers0

FN employee in SC. Got a customer service ticket for a PS90 that "was way off target." Apon further inspection, we found an obvious barrel obstruction but we were unable to remove it. When we cut her open this is what we found. If you notice the last round is a different bullet material. I suspect he thought all of his previous rounds were missing and decided to try a different bullet lol. submitted by /u/ausyinjmellis88

I have been thinking about starting my own business for a while and finally landed on wanting to combine passion with work and for me that means guns. I've also been seeing ads for a place called SDI (Sanora Desert Institute) and looked into it a bit and it seems like having the education they offer along with the building kits and tools they give to you for labs would be really fun, as well as give some more experience in areas I would need. I'm just curious on if anyone has done that or if there was anywhere else that I could attend? I am a bit cautious in this because I'd hate to waste my time and money. Please and thank you! submitted by /u/nsxgribble

First time being able to go out and shoot in I don’t even know how many years. Since I was a child. Just went really to adjust the gas plug on the M1, and hadn’t shot 7mm before so I took the FN as well. No targets, just wanted to feel them for the first time. Haven’t had a feeling like that since I was a near toddler. submitted by /u/Proof-Commission-281
