theScore is offering fans the chance to win $5,000 USD with our Top 10 Draft Contest!* Correctly predict the first 10 draft picks in the order they're called to win.New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis won't hesitate to draft Drew Brees' eventual successor this week."I think that any time you have a chance to get a quality quarterback prospect, regardless of your quarterback situation, you'd like to take advantage of that," Loomis told John DeShazier of the team's website on Wednesday. "For us, it hasn't come. There hasn't been the match where we're picking with a prospect that we really like. Our approach is exactly the same this year: If there's someone there that we really like and have a vision for at the time we're picking, then we're not afraid to pull that trigger."The Saints have only drafted two quarterbacks since Brees arrived in New Orleans in 2006: Garrett Grayson in Round 3 of 2015, and Sean Canfield in Round 7 of 2010.However, Brees is now 41 years old. He signed a two-year deal this offseason, and it wouldn't surprise anyone if he retired after it expires following the 2021 campaign. Brees is reportedly set to sign with NBC once his playing career is over to be groomed as Cris Collinsworth's replacement as the Sunday Night Football color analyst. It's unclear how early Loomis is willing to select a signal-caller, but the Saints were reportedly among several teams to do homework on Utah State quarterback Jordan Love. The big-armed passer is a bit of a wild card and may go as high as the middle of the first round, but could also wind up as a Day 2 selection. The Saints own the 24th pick on Thursday night.- h/t to NFL.comTerms and conditions apply. theScore is offering fans the chance to win $5,000 USD with our Top 10 Draft Contest!* Correctly predict the first 10 draft picks in the order they're called to win.The Cincinnati Bengals have turned away multiple inquiries from the Miami Dolphins in recent weeks about trading the first overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.Miami currently owns three first-round picks (Nos. 5, 18, and 26), and a league-high 14 selections overall. The Dolphins have reportedly been in contact with the teams above them and are gauging the price of moving up to the Detroit Lions' third overall pick in order to potentially select an offensive tackle. It was reported earlier in April that Dolphins general manager Chris Grier and head coach Brian Flores "are very much against trading the farm" to the Bengals in order to land quarterback Joe Burrow.Burrow is widely expected to be the first overall selection in this year's draft as the top prospect in an upper tier of quarterbacks that also features Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert.Terms and conditions apply. theScore is offering fans the chance to win $5,000 USD with our Top 10 Draft Contest!* Correctly predict the first 10 draft picks in the order they're called to win.The Atlanta Falcons are trying to put themselves in a position to draft star pass-rusher Chase Young on Thursday night.Atlanta is aggressively trying to move up from the No. 16 pick and has attempted to land selections as high as second overall, Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reports. The Washington Redskins currently own the No. 2 selection and have not entertained such offers, as they think too highly of Young to trade the pick, Glazer adds.Reports last week suggested rival teams felt the Falcons were trying to move up from No. 16. Such draft moves are nothing new for Atlanta, who has traded up in the first round five times since 2008. In 2011, the Falcons traded five picks - including two first-rounders - to leap from No. 27 to No. 6 in order to select Julio Jones. It was reported Tuesday that the Redskins were fielding trade calls for their earliest pick.Terms and conditions apply. He posted 26 tackles and 0.5 sacks in eight outings for the Giants, though he was more proficient in generating pressure on opposing quarterbacks.Williams, the sixth overall pick of the 2015 draft, has 17.5 sacks over his five-year career. theScore is offering fans the chance to win $5,000 USD with our Top 10 Draft Contest!* Correctly predict the first 10 draft picks in the order they're called to win.Rob Gronkowski has officially reunited with Tom Brady as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he was apparently open to doing the same if the quarterback had stayed in New England. The All-Pro tight end revealed Wednesday that he and Brady didn't discuss joining forces until about two months ago when they got together to throw the ball around."We had a little conversation. There was no pressure on either side," Gronkowski said."We rarely talked about what his decision was going to be, where I'm at, but we did talk about it for one second and I told him that, 'I'm kind of getting that fire underneath me again.' And I said, 'I'm definitely interested in your decision that you make.' I didn't put any pressure on him, but I said if there's a right opportunity out there and you go somewhere and that opportunity is right, even if you go back to the Patriots ... there's a possible chance that I will definitely love to reconnect.' And that's where the conversation started a little bit and he was all fired up and juiced up about it."Brady opted to test free agency in March and then signed with Tampa Bay for two years at $25 million annually.Gronkowski was also asked whether playing for Patriots head coach Bill Belichick wore on him, and if seeing Brady sign elsewhere inspired him to do the same. The tight end didn't deny the difficulties of adhering to "The Patriot Way.""Coach (Belichick) says it all the time, he always says it, that it's not an easy place to play. I'm very thankful for the nine years that I had with the New England Patriots, hands down," Gronkowski said."I've learned so much under that organization. I've learned so much football from the best coach in all of football, coach Belichick. I'm not going to sit here and say it's an easy organization to play for and I also haven't played for another organization, I haven't even been down to Tampa yet, so I'm not even sure what to expect. But I know that the New England Patriots ... it is not the easiest place to play but it gets you right, it gets you mentally right, gets you physically right."As for his current physical shape, the 30-year-old Gronkowski said he played his nine-year career at around 265 pounds and that he currently weighs 250."A lot of people out there think I've lost 40 pounds, lost 50 pounds," he said. "I'm 250 and I feel good, my body feels good."After years of absorbing vicious hits and multiple surgeries, Gronkowski added that he needed the 2019 season off to heal."I've said it from the beginning, I wouldn't come back unless I'm feeling it, unless I'm feeling good, feeling healthy, and feeling like I'm ready to go," he said. "And now, this is the case, this is the time. It definitely wasn't last year. My body 100% needed a rest."*Terms and conditions apply. theScore is offering fans the chance to win $5,000 USD with our Top 10 Draft Contest!* Correctly predict the first 10 draft picks in the order they're called to win. With the 2020 NFL Draft only a day away, theScore's Dane Belbeck, Daniel Wilkins, and Mike Alessandrini project the first round of selections plus a pick for every team without a Day 1 slot.1. Cincinnati Bengals - Joe Burrow, QB, LSUChris Graythen / Getty Images Sport / GettyThe first pick comes with very little drama as Cincinnati gives the reins of the franchise to the LSU star. The Heisman Trophy winner turned in a senior season for the ages, piling up ridiculous stats on his way to the national title. Burrow has very few weaknesses in his game and should benefit greatly from an emerging young talent group on offense. - Belbeck2. Washington Redskins - Chase Young, Edge, Ohio StateTwo picks, two locks. The Redskins will get calls for this pick, but probably none serious enough for them to consider passing up an elite prospect on the most important position on the defensive side of the ball. Adding Young to an already talented defensive front gives Ron Rivera a strong foundation with which to build. - Wilkins3. Detroit Lions - Jeff Okudah, CB, Ohio StateThe Lions appear interested in moving out of the third spot, but uncertainty at the quarterback position beyond Burrow may cause teams to hesitate in trading up for one. If Detroit stays put, Okudah is the perfect fit. The star cornerback fills Matt Patricia's biggest need and is arguably the top defensive prospect available after Young. - Alessandrini4. New York Giants - Jedrick Wills Jr., OT, AlabamaAfter adding Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones in the last two drafts, the Giants add protection for the dynamic duo with the hulking tackle from Alabama. This draft is a very strong one for offensive line talent, and Wills established himself as the best of the bunch. - Belbeck5. Miami Dolphins - Tua Tagovailoa, QB, AlabamaTodd Kirkland / Getty Images Sport / GettyConcern over Tua's medicals - and Justin Herbert potentially being drafted ahead of him as a result - proves to be nothing more than a smokescreen, and the Dolphins go with the guy they tanked to get in the first place. There may be risk with the Alabama star coming off a hip injury, but he arguably has more upside than any quarterback in the class, including Burrow. This is the kind of player who single-handedly turns a franchise around. - Wilkins6. Los Angeles Chargers - Andrew Thomas, OT, GeorgiaThe Bolts could opt for Herbert here, but we're buying reports that Tyrod Taylor's QB1 moving forward. With a solid roster from top to bottom, Los Angeles addresses the left tackle position with a high-upside prospect after trading Russell Okung. - Alessandrini7. Carolina Panthers - Derrick Brown, DT, AuburnThe Panthers could go in many different directions with the No. 7 pick, but opting for Brown should prove to be wise. The Auburn standout's talent leaps off the screen when watching his collegiate tape, and he should step in immediately as a focal point for Matt Rhule's defense in the coach's first season with Carolina. - Belbeck8. Arizona Cardinals - Isaiah Simmons, LB, ClemsonTrading down to recoup picks would make sense after moving a second-rounder for DeAndre Hopkins, but less so with Simmons still on the board. Whether he's a safety, linebacker, or a combination of the two, the Clemson star is a player you want on your team. The Cardinals get a much-needed game-changer on defense with a top-five talent in this draft. - Wilkins9. Jacksonville Jaguars - Justin Herbert, QB, OregonIcon Sportswire / Icon Sportswire / GettyWhile many are projecting Herbert inside the top five, we don't think any scenario can be locked in even one day before the draft. With the Dolphins fooling everyone and nabbing Tua and the Chargers opting for an offensive tackle, the Oregon passer's most likely destination will come from a team trading up, or Jacksonville. The Jaguars praised Gardner Minshew all offseason, but are unlikely to pass up a potential franchise quarterback here. - Alessandrini10. Cleveland Browns - Mekhi Becton, OT, LouisvilleThe easiest way for Baker Mayfield to return to his brilliant rookie form is to give him more time to operate in the pocket. New coach Kevin Stefanski does just that with the massive 6-foot-7, 364-pounder from Louisville at No. 10. Becton is a bit of a project, but his high ceiling at the position is worth the risk for Cleveland. - Belbeck11. TRADE: Atlanta Falcons (from NYJ) - CJ Henderson, CB, FloridaAtlanta's been the team most rumored to be exploring trade-up options, and they find one here, with the Jets looking to stock up on picks. Henderson is a potential lockdown corner who provides a much-needed upgrade to an Atlanta defense now facing the difficult task of matching up with both Drew Brees and Tom Brady in the NFC South. - Wilkins12. Las Vegas Raiders - Jerry Jeudy, WR, AlabamaThe top end of the draft couldn't play out any better for Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock. In this scenario, the Raiders get to choose between the class' top three receivers. While the speed of Henry Ruggs and the college dominance of CeeDee Lamb may intrigue Vegas, Jeudy's the most complete wideout in this draft. We love his fit with Derek Carr. - Alessandrini13. TRADE: Dolphins (from IND via SF) - Tristan Wirfs, OT, IowaIcon Sportswire / Icon Sportswire / GettyMiami fans should be thrilled with Tagovailoa at No. 5 and Wirfs at No. 13 to ignite the team's woeful offense. Many analysts have the Iowa standout as their top tackle in the draft, so a trade up makes sense. - Belbeck14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Javon Kinlaw, DT, South CarolinaTampa Bay should have its sights set on an offensive tackle to bolster the line in front of Brady, but after being jumped by the Dolphins for the last of the consensus top four, there's no need to force it. Kinlaw is the best player available on the other side of the ball at this spot, and his interior pass-rush presence could help take Todd Bowles' defense to the next level. - Wilkins15. Denver Broncos - Henry Ruggs III, WR, AlabamaTalk about an ideal first round for John Elway. The Broncos are reportedly interested in trading up for a receiver, but don't have to here with the top speedster still on the board. Ruggs is the perfect complement to Courtland Sutton's size on the perimeter, and would give sophomore quarterback Drew Lock an exciting target. - Alessandrini16. TRADE: New York Jets (from ATL) - CeeDee Lamb, WR, OklahomaA number of mocks have Lamb going to the Jets at No. 11, so the fact he's still available after New York trades down to No. 16 is a huge bonus for Adam Gase's outfit. The Oklahoma star is a threat to score every time he touches the ball, and should mesh with Sam Darnold to form a potentially potent one-two punch. - Belbeck17. Dallas Cowboys - K'Lavon Chaisson, Edge, LSUKevin C. Cox / Getty ImagesCornerback might be a similarly pressing need, but Dallas can't pass up the opportunity to take the second-best edge rusher in this draft. Chaisson joining a defensive line that features DeMarcus Lawrence, Gerald McCoy, Dontari Poe, and now Aldon Smith would give the Cowboys all the firepower they need to terrorize opposing quarterbacks. - Wilkins18. TRADE: San Francisco 49ers (from PIT via MIA) - A.J. Terrell, CB, ClemsonAfter acquiring additional picks from Miami in a trade down, the Niners can begin addressing their biggest roster holes. One of these is outside corner, where John Lynch will prioritize adding speed to match up with the league's top receivers. Terrell has those jets, plus the length and ball skills to thrive in Robert Saleh's defense. - Alessandrini19. TRADE: New England Patriots (from LV) - Jordan Love, QB, Utah StateGoodbye, Tom Brady. Hello, Jordan Love. The Patriots grab their quarterback of the future with the tantalizing prospect from Utah State. Love has all the tools needed to be a star at the pro level, but lacks the polish to see him go in the top 15. Bill Belichick takes a chance on Love's potential and trades up to nab him. - Belbeck20. Jacksonville Jaguars (from LAR) - Kristian Fulton, CB, LSUThe Jaguars coming away with one of the draft's top cornerbacks after recently trading both Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye feels like a good way to start rebuilding a suddenly depleted defense. Fulton, a highly productive member of LSU's championship defense, gives Jacksonville a potential new No. 1 cover corner. - Wilkins21. Philadephia Eagles - Justin Jefferson, WR, LSUGregory Shamus / Getty Images Sport / GettyPhiladelphia will certainly use one of its first two selections to upgrade at receiver. While the top three pass-catchers are off the board, Jefferson still represents solid value here. The LSU product is a high-level prospect and would provide a reliable presence in the middle for Carson Wentz. - Alessandrini22. Minnesota Vikings (from BUF) - Yetur Gross-Matos, Edge, Penn StateWith Everson Griffen likely done in Minnesota, the Vikings grab a natural replacement with Gross-Matos. The Penn State star has prototypical size for the position in Mike Zimmer's defense and should be an immediate impact player in the NFC North. - Belbeck23. TRADE: Raiders (from NE) - Jaylon Johnson, CB, UtahAfter moving back to collect a few more picks, the Raiders address another one of their most pressing needs. Johnson's size and ability in press make him a strong fit for the Las Vegas defense, and pairing him with promising 2019 second-rounder Trayvon Mullen finally gives the organization some young foundational pieces at cornerback. - Wilkins24. New Orleans Saints - Kenneth Murray, LB, OklahomaSean Payton likely believes the Saints are only a few minor pieces away from capturing a Lombardi Trophy, and he could view Murray as the future leader of his defense. The NFL appears high on the former Sooner due to his athleticism and intangibles. Murray provides an instant upgrade next to Demario Davis in the middle of New Orleans' stop unit. - Alessandrini25. Vikings - Denzel Mims, WR, BaylorIcon Sportswire / Icon Sportswire / GettyAfter addressing the defense with Gross-Matos at No. 22, the Vikings grab some much-needed receiver help with Mims. The Baylor star impressed at both the Senior Bowl and the combine, flying up draft boards and into the first round. With Stefon Diggs now in Buffalo, Mims will be counted on to contribute immediately in Minnesota. - Belbeck26. Dolphins (from HOU) - A.J. Epenesa, Edge, IowaThe Dolphins landed a pair of cornerstone talents at premium offensive positions with their first two picks, so they turn to defense, and another important position, with their third selection. Epenesa is a polished pass-rusher with the versatility to slide inside on third down, and he's the rare defensive end prospect who could also be an impact player against the run immediately. - Wilkins27. Seattle Seahawks - Austin Jackson, OT, USCIf Seattle opts not to trade out of the first round - as the team so often does - it could target an offensive tackle to begin his career on the right side and eventually replace Duane Brown. Jackson has the length and athleticism the Seahawks covet, so he could be too intriguing for them to pass up. - Alessandrini28. Baltimore Ravens - Xavier McKinney, S, AlabamaThe pipeline from Alabama to Baltimore continues. Versatility is key in defensive coordinator Wink Martindale's scheme, making the rangy McKinney an excellent fit for the AFC North club. - Belbeck29. Tennessee Titans - Isaiah Wilson, OT, GeorgiaIcon Sportswire / Icon Sportswire / GettyTennessee has a major hole at right tackle after losing Jack Conklin in free agency. Wilson, a similar player, can step right in to help maintain the power running game that helped lead the Titans on a deep playoff run. - Wilkins30. Green Bay Packers - Jalen Reagor, WR, TCUWith a number of receivers already off the board, the Packers may not be able to wait to select a potential top-tier target for Aaron Rodgers. Reagor gives Green Bay's offense something it lacked a season ago - speed on the outside, yards-after-catch ability, and the ability to attack deep areas of the field. - Alessandrini31. 49ers - Tee Higgins, WR, ClemsonWith Emmanuel Sanders now in New Orleans, the 49ers fill their need at receiver with the lanky Higgins. At 6-foot-4 with excellent ball skills in traffic, Higgins immediately gives Kyle Shanahan's offense a threat in the red zone that isn't named George Kittle. - Belbeck32. Kansas City Chiefs - Patrick Queen, LB, LSUA true three-down playmaker in the middle of the field, Queen probably shouldn't fall this far. The Super Bowl champs are happy that he does, though, as they jump at the chance to make a major upgrade to one of the few weak spots on an otherwise stacked roster. - WilkinsTeams without a 1st-round pickThearon W. Henderson / Getty Images Sport / Getty34. Indianapolis Colts - Michael Pittman Jr., WR, USCIndianapolis has T.Y. Hilton and Parris Campbell at Philip Rivers' disposal, but could add size on the perimeter early in Round 2. Pittman's been rising up draft boards in recent weeks and could be the next tall wideout to build a strong rapport with a veteran quarterback. - Alessandrini40. Houston Texans - Zack Baun, Edge, WisconsinHouston desperately needs an edge rusher. While Baun's size may prevent him from playing an every-down role in that spot, his ability to get after the quarterback on passing downs still provides plenty of value. And he wouldn't be limited to sub packages - Baun also has the athleticism and coverage ability to play off the ball as a linebacker in base. - Belbeck43. Chicago Bears - Trevon Diggs, CB, AlabamaUpgrading at cornerback will be a priority for the Bears if they're going to maintain the defensive success they've enjoyed of late, and Diggs provides them with good size, length, man-to-man ability, and ball skills. - Wilkins49. Pittsburgh Steelers - Lucas Niang, OT, TCUThe Steelers don't have many needs to address on their roster, but could stand to upgrade at right tackle. Niang is the perfect fit in the middle of the second round, as durability concerns will push him lower down draft boards. - Alessandrini52. Los Angeles Rams - Jordyn Brooks, LB, Texas TechInside linebacker stands as a major priority for the Rams after losing Cory Littleton in free agency. Brooks is an excellent athlete who should be an instant-impact player against the run with athletic upside for coverage duties, as well. - Belbeck54. Buffalo Bills - J.K. Dobbins, RB, Ohio StateA strong early down back to complement Devin Singletary is one of few needs on a quietly stellar Bills roster. Dobbins is an explosive runner, and although he also has upside for a feature role, he'd thrive with a team like Buffalo, where he's not forced into third-down duties. - Wilkins*Terms and conditions apply. theScore is offering fans the chance to win $5,000 USD with our Top 10 Draft Contest!* Correctly predict the first 10 draft picks in the order they're called to win.The Arizona Cardinals and Carolina Panthers are among the teams willing to trade down in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday. The Panthers, who own the No. 7 pick, could potentially be in a position to select versatile linebacker/safety Isaiah Simmons, who could help fill the void left behind by the retired Luke Kuechly. However, Carolina has several other needs - mostly on the defensive side of the ball - which could be addressed by gaining more selections with a trade down. The Cardinals, who have the eighth selection, moved their second-rounder as part of the DeAndre Hopkins trade this offseason, so they may be looking to stockpile more picks. The doctor for potential first-round pick Jerry Jeudy expects the receiver will "progress through his professional career without any limitations" amid concerns about a knee injury, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.Dr. E. Lyle Cain wrote to all 32 NFL clubs ahead of Thursday's 2020 draft after rumors surfaced that some teams were concerned about Jeudy's knee. The former Alabama standout injured his left knee in the spring of 2018 and underwent surgery.Jeudy was able to return in time to play a full season, and Cain wrote that the 20-year-old hasn't experienced any "subsequent issue, symptoms, or limitations."Rapoport also said that he's yet to talk to a team that believes Jeudy's previous knee injury will hinder his NFL career.Jeudy is widely expected to be drafted within the first 15 selections and is in a fight to be the first wideout picked with Henry Ruggs III and CeeDee Lamb.In his last two seasons at Alabama, Jeudy racked up 2,478 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns.Copyright © 2020 Score Media Ventures Inc. theScore is offering fans the chance to win $5,000 USD with our Top 10 Draft Contest!* Correctly predict the first 10 draft picks in the order they're called to win.It only felt right to save the best prop matchup for the eve of draft night. While we have a decent idea of where many first-round prospects could land, there's a ton of uncertainty surrounding quarterbacks Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert. Will teams trade up to pick them early, or could one (or both) of the blue-chippers fall?Trying to pinpoint the QB2 in this class has been a hassle. Joe Burrow will surely fall into Cincinnati's lap at No. 1, but will Tua or Herbert come off the board next?To get that answer, you've come to the right place.Odds to be drafted firstPlayer OddsTua Tagovailoa-145Justin Herbert+115Tale of the tapeThere isn't much you don't already know about these prospects. Both were lauded as they came up in their respective systems. Herbert was a four-year starter at Oregon, while Tagovailoa led Alabama to a comeback win over Georgia in the national title game as a freshman. Both appear to have high ceilings. Herbert possesses good size at 6-foot-6 and showcased some underrated traits as a runner last season. All Tagovailoa did was set the FBS passer-rating record as a sophomore while playing in the toughest division in college football.TrajectoryWhen the 2019 season began, the No. 1 overall pick was Tagovailoa's to lose. Unfortunately, he suffered a serious hip injury in November that required surgery, which put a dent in his draft stock. Since then, we've heard that Tagovailoa failed a pair of medicals and also revealed two previously unknown wrist injuries. That could all amount to very little on draft day, but it's been enough to move his over/under slot from 3.5 to 5.5.Herbert has consistently been in play at No. 5 (Dolphins) and No. 6 (Chargers), but there are some other factors to consider The Giants at No. 4 are reportedly becoming interested, while some believe the quarterback market isn't as hot as we're making it out to be. As of now, it appears the earliest Herbert could go is No. 4, but pinpointing exactly how far he could slide is tricky.Best betJustin Herbert +115One of the toughest parts about betting the NFL draft is staying unbiased. Personally, I think Tagovailoa is the better prospect and has the higher ceiling. However, I'm not equipped to play general manager in this scenario. After all, teams that have Tagovailoa circled must understand the backlash that could come from whiffing on a very early pick in the first round. If a franchise that desperately needs a quarterback takes Tagovailoa and sees the experiment fail, the decision could set it back years.Right now, I think Herbert's the safer choice. Considering how close this matchup looks, I'm siding with the plus-money play and hoping teams are scared off by Tagovailoa's medical history.*Terms and conditions apply. "The guys have really done a great job of working through my house."I'm not going to lie to you; I've had a couple walls ripped up and had people in my house working on that. You know, it's just part of the process. In the time of trying to be social distancing, it's definitely been a challenge. But everybody's done a great job of recreating my dining room into a - like right when you walk in the door, it's the draft room."That draft room also includes around two dozen screens."I'm a very visual person, so everything's there in case things fall apart from a technology standpoint," Schneider said. "I think there's like, I don’t know, feels like 25 screens. But I like the one-on-one interaction. theScore is offering fans the chance to win $5,000 USD with our Top 10 Draft Contest!* Correctly predict the first 10 draft picks in the order they're called to win. When he reminisces about CeeDee Lamb, the Hail Mary game is always the first story Shaun McDowell tells. It makes sense to start with it, because it’s the night McDowell learned Lamb was different. At the time - Oct. 23, 2014 - Lamb was a sophomore at Foster High School in Richmond, Texas. He was the third receiver in a good offense, one that averaged 36 points per game. And Foster needed something special out of that offense to avoid defeat against district foe Calhoun.Foster trailed 22-21 in the waning seconds when, in an attempt to confuse the defense, it attempted a reverse Hail Mary. A Foster receiver heaved the football toward the end zone, where Lamb came down with it between three defenders and a teammate. The only problem: It didn’t count. Officials flagged Foster for an illegal man downfield.Moments later, on a more traditional Hail Mary throw from the quarterback, Lamb leapt and pulled down another prayer to win the game.A legend was born that night, 30 minutes southwest of downtown Houston.“I’ll be talking about that for the rest of my life,†said McDowell, Foster’s head coach.Six years later, few who've watched Lamb play are surprised when he makes the difficult look natural. He developed into an unstoppable force at Foster, catching 98 passes for 2,032 yards and 33 touchdowns as a senior. In coach Lincoln Riley’s unrelenting offense at Oklahoma, Lamb produced back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons in 2018 and 2019, setting a school record with 24 catches of 40-plus yards. His 19 yards per reception average is also a Sooner record.Next, he’ll be one of the first receivers off the board Thursday in the NFL draft. He could go as high as the top 10, if a team falls in love with his ability to make highlight-reel catches and elude defenders like a Pamplona bullfighter. He has every chance of being the best receiver in one of the deepest classes at the position in years - one that includes the Alabama super duo of Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs, as well as LSU's 100-catch receiver Justin Jefferson."He’s being compared to DeAndre Hopkins," Peter Schrager, Fox Sports NFL analyst, said about Lamb on "Good Morning Football" this week. "I think he might end up being even better than (Hopkins)."At 6-foot-2, 198 pounds, there’s little Lamb can’t do as a receiver. He’s a downfield threat who can make contested catches. He also destroys defenses after the catch, combining a strong lower body with an ability to anticipate contact from defenders. His Oklahoma highlight reel can only be described as absurd. A sampling:

theScore is offering fans the chance to win $5,000 USD with our Top 10 Draft Contest!* Correctly predict the first 10 draft picks in the order they're called to win. There are hundreds of NFL draft props, but which ones should bettors target? theScore's betting team gives its top prop bets for the 2020 NFL Draft.Thomas CasaleDenzel Mims under 32.5 -140I played Mims at 100-1 to be the first receiver selected, and though that's a long shot, I really like his under draft position of 32.5. Mims is one of the most undervalued players heading into this draft; I'll be very surprised if he doesn't go in Round 1.Mims stands 6-3, weighs 216 pounds, runs a 4.38-second 40-yard dash, and had a productive college career. Teams slated to pick in the top 15, such as the Jacksonville Jaguars and Denver Broncos, have been linked to Mims, so look for him to go off the board earlier than he has in most mock drafts.J.K. Dobbins under 46.5 +100My favorite bet of the entire draft is the under on Dobbins' draft position. I got this number early at 51.5, but it's still a steal at 46.5. There's a chance the former Ohio State standout sneaks into the end of the first round, but even if he doesn't, Dobbins will be selected early in Round 2.The second day of the draft now typically sees a run on backs as teams look to avoid investing first-round money at the position. Dobbins somewhat quietly rushed for over 2,000 yards and 21 scores last season, and he has a chance to be a star in the NFL. There's no way he gets out of the top 40.Alex KolodziejJustin Jefferson under 21.5 (-150)I knew there'd be one prop I'd keep adding to as the days went by. Turns out it's the under on Jefferson's draft spot, which will wind up as my biggest stance for Thursday.I have Jefferson as the No. 3 receiver behind CeeDee Lamb and Jerry Jeudy. Teams might value the speed of Henry Ruggs or the well-rounded tool kit of Jalen Reagor, but I can't envision a scenario in which Jefferson is still available beyond pick No. 21, which currently belongs to the receiver-needy Philadelphia Eagles.Jacob Eason to be drafted before Jake Fromm (-225)Imagine taking Fromm over Jalen Hurts, let alone over Eason, the most exciting Day 2 quarterback on the board. I love matchup props that pit a player I'm high on against a player I'm low on. This is pretty automatic for me, as I wouldn't be surprised to see Eason drafted a full round - or more - ahead of Fromm. Lay the juice on this prop bet.Alex Moretto2nd offensive player drafted: Jedrick Wills Jr. (+120)It's somewhat painful to recommend this one at +120 after I bet it at +1400 a week ago, but such is the nature of draft props. In a year when the quarterback market is soft, I don't expect any trades inside the top five. That means this prop comes down to the New York Giants at No. 4. Make no mistake, Dave Gettleman will be strengthening the offensive line - helping his last two top offensive picks, Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones, in the process - and all reports indicate Wills is New York's guy.3rd overall pick: Derrick Brown (+425)Assuming the Detroit Lions keep the No. 3 pick - and I'd lay a lot of money on them doing so - they're going defense. Everyone in the world has Jeffrey Okudah as the guy here, but the Lions can wait on a cornerback in a deep class. What they can't wait on is a defensive tackle. Detroit desperately needs Brown's speed and size after ranking 31st in the NFL in sacks last season and losing both Damon Harrison and A'Shawn Robinson in the offseason. Brown at +425 to go third overall is great value.*Terms and conditions apply. "We talked to a lot of guys, but certainly formed a really good relationship with Joe, and been really impressed with everything we've seen from him."Burrow threw for 60 touchdowns - an NCAA FBS record - 5,671 passing yards and owned a 76.3 completion percentage in 2019. He totaled just six interceptions. Burrow also won a national title and the Heisman Trophy, capping off one of the greatest seasons by a signal-caller in college football history."He's as advertised," Taylor said. "All the things we heard about him, we saw from our first meeting with him and as we've gotten to know him over the last couple weeks."The Bengals think so highly of Burrow that they're not entertaining any trade-down scenarios, reports ESPN's Dianna Russini. One source told her "we could just turn our ringers off on our phones" in regards to a trade.During Taylor's first season as an NFL head coach in 2019, the Bengals went 2-14. Questions about former Alabama star Tua Tagovaolia's health persist, but Oregon product Justin Herbert carries no such concerns. Rumors of a draft slide for Tagovailoa should be taken with a pinch of salt as teams may be attempting to deceive one another, but there's no smoke without fire. For all his undoubted talents, Tagovailoa is a major risk. Either the Dolphins or Chargers will decide Herbert is the safer bet. - Jack BrowneRBs get shut out in Round 1Justin Casterline / Getty Images Sport / GettyThe top running back prospects aren't expected to be drafted until the back half of the first round at the earliest, but this year, teams will avoid wasting a prime selection on a devalued position. Despite their collegiate accolades, D'Andre Swift, J.K. Dobbins, Jonathan Taylor, and Clyde Edwards-Helaire will have to wait until Day 2 to hear their names called. - Michael McClymontPatriots find a new LoveAfter two decades with Tom Brady under center, the Patriots face uncertainty at quarterback. Jordan Love is a divisive prospect, but he's got plenty of arm talent and New England was reportedly among the teams doing homework on him before the draft. The Patriots own 12 picks, which means they have the resources to trade up from No. 23 if that's what it takes to secure a potential quarterback of the future in Love. - Caio MiariJaguars blow up what's leftIcon Sportswire / Icon Sportswire / GettyThe Yannick Ngakoue saga has turned ugly and the Leonard Fournette situation isn't far behind, so it's time for the Jaguars to salvage what remains of the pair's value. Jacksonville may not get the offers it desires, but proposals will only worsen once the draft passes. With their respective departures inevitable, Jacksonville might as well recoup whatever it can for the disgruntled veterans and apply the returns to the 2020 draft and opening-day roster. - Alex ChippinPanthers trade down from top 10In their first year under head coach Matt Rhule, the Panthers will pass on selecting a successor to Luke Kuechly at No. 7 - as many mock drafts tab them to. Instead, they'll trade down to stockpile 2021 picks with an eye toward eventually landing Clemson star Trevor Lawrence. - David P. WoodsHurts sneaks into Round 1Icon Sportswire / Icon Sportswire / GettyMost mocks have four quarterbacks going in the first round - Burrow, Tagovailoa, Herbert, and Love. Don't be surprised if Jalen Hurts pushes that total to five. The Oklahoma star is a potential centerpiece for offenses willing to embrace the modern game, and he's made monumental strides as a passer to complement his unique ability on designed runs and scrambles. That intriguing skill set, along with his toughness and reputation as an outstanding leader, will get him drafted earlier than many expect. The Colts and Chargers are probably the most sensible fits for him early in the second round, assuming Los Angeles doesn't take a QB with its first pick, but why not move up a few spots to secure the fifth-year option included in rookie contracts for first-rounders? It could pay off in a big way down the road. - Dan Wilkins7 OTs fly off board on 1st nightThe wide receiver and cornerback classes are incredibly deep this year, but the same can't be said for the group of offensive tackles. This will result in a race for the best perimeter-blocking prospects. Andrew Thomas, Jedrick Wills Jr., Mekhi Becton, and Tristan Wirfs appear locked into the top 20, meaning other clubs could scramble to nab the next tier of prospects in the latter half of Round 1. Ezra Cleveland and Austin Jackson will be the primary beneficiaries, while Josh Jones and Isaiah Wilson have both been rumored as potential first-round picks as well. With a major drop-off below the top two tiers, expect an early run of tackles. - Mike Alessandrini*Terms and conditions apply. "That was well before the pandemic and he went to the Bucs, my comeback was already in the works. But I’m ready for any offense that'll just let me go."Coming out of retirement seems to be all the rage now after Rob Gronkowski declared his return to football Tuesday. The legendary tight end was traded from New England to Tampa Bay to reunite with Brady.Harvin initially retired after the 2015 season with the Buffalo Bills. He returned midway through the 2016 campaign before he began dealing with migraines again after just two games and was subsequently placed on the reserve/non-football illness list. He retired for the second time in March 2017.The 2009 first-round pick's most productive seasons came in his first four years in the league with the Minnesota Vikings. He averaged 61.1 receiving yards per game, equating to 978 yards per 16 contests. The trade reunites Gronkowski with quarterback and former longtime teammate Tom Brady, who recently joined Tampa Bay in free agency. The Buccaneers got a huge boost in the futures market when Brady signed. Although Gronkowski doesn't play a premium position and hasn't suited up since Feb. 2019, bettors are once again flocking to the Bucs."We moved Tampa Bay from 15-1 to 12-1 to win the Super Bowl," said Jay Rood, Bet.Works' chief risk officer and theScore Bet's head trader, who also noted that the Bucs went from 5-1 to 9-2 to win the NFC following the deal. The Buccaneers' skill corps was already solid prior to the trade, headlined by the star receiving duo of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. theScore is offering fans the chance to win $5,000 USD with our Top 10 Draft Contest!* Correctly predict the first 10 draft picks in the order they're called to win.Rob Gronkowski is back in the NFL.The legendary tight end was traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Tuesday after informing the New England Patriots of his desire to play alongside old friend and quarterback Tom Brady. The deal saw New England package Gronkowski with a seventh-round pick (No. 241) in exchange for a fourth-round pick (No. 139) in the 2020 draft.Let's look at how each team made out:New England PatriotsThe Patriots went into the offseason expecting to get nothing from or for their retired tight end in 2020, so to come away with anything is an automatic victory. Even if Gronkowski was open to the idea of returning with cap-strapped New England, his $10-million salary would have caused problems. The Patriots need a tight end but could be entering a transition year, and Gronkowski, who will turn 31 in May, isn't a long-term solution. A fourth-round pick can prove useful, though a premium selection or a somewhat established player with upside would've marked the ideal return. Still, New England had nothing to lose in this deal aside from, perhaps, the public embarrassment of watching a second franchise icon decide to play elsewhere.Grade: BTampa Bay BuccaneersThe Buccaneers didn't get enough from their tight ends last year, as O.J. Howard and Cameron Brate combined for only 770 yards and four touchdowns. Even when Gronkowski looked like a shell of his former self in 2018, he still posted 682 yards and three scores. It's possible Gronkowski will regain some of his explosiveness in 2020 after healing his battered body for a year (a WWE championship bout notwithstanding). If nothing else, he'll upgrade the Buccaneers' blocking up front and provide Brady with a familiar option on key downs. Gronkowski should also benefit from the attention paid to perimeter receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, giving him more space to work over the middle of the field. With Tampa Bay looking to win a Super Bowl in the near future, a fourth-round pick is a small price to pay for one of the all-time great tight ends.Grade: A-*Terms and conditions apply. theScore is offering fans the chance to win $5,000 USD with our Top 10 Draft Contest!* Correctly predict the first 10 draft picks in the order they're called to win.The NFL draft rarely fails to provide fireworks, and the 2020 edition could be among the most unpredictable ever considering the disruptions teams have faced in the run-up to April 23.Trades are the best source of drama during the draft, so here are five that we want to see happen.Chargers go all-in on TagovailoaTrade details: Chargers send No. 6, No. 37, 2021 2nd-round pick to the Lions for No. 3Los Angeles needs its next football superstar. After Tagovaolia got through most of the draft process relatively unscathed, speculation has run rampant over the last few weeks that his health concerns - the quarterback reportedly failed two physicals - will cause him to slide much further in the draft than many expect. But the NFL draft is all about deception, and teams could be hoping to speak Tagovailoa's fall into existence. Instead, the Los Angeles Chargers should be aggressive to ensure the former Alabama star becomes the next face of their franchise.Tagovailoa is everything you could want in a quarterback: deadly accurate, a dominant downfield passer, unflappable under pressure, and a natural leader. Furthermore, he'd bring much-needed national attention and local buzz to the AFC West club as it moves into a new shared stadium in L.A.While the Chargers will need to surrender significant assets to jump the Miami Dolphins (who own the No. 5 pick), they should happily pay it to get what could be the final piece for a playoff-caliber roster, which could otherwise be wasted by starting Tyrod Taylor. On the other side of the deal, the Detroit Lions would still have a good chance at landing the prospect they've most frequently been linked to with the No. 3 pick, cornerback Jeff Okudah, while also gaining another top-40 selection following ownership's playoffs-or-bust mandate.Detroit might hope for more in return, but without a bidding war, it will be hard to get the compensation that the Jets gave up (three second-rounders to the Indianapolis Colts) to make the exact same move up to select Sam Darnold in 2018.Cowboys finally land AdamsMichael Reaves / Getty Images Sport / GettyTrade details: Cowboys send No. 17, 2021 3rd-round pick to the Jets for All-Pro safety Jamal AdamsThe Dallas Cowboys have long desired to find a star safety, most notably chasing future Hall of Famer Earl Thomas unsuccessfully for years. In the middle of last season, the Cowboys again tried to fill the void by trading for New York Jets star Jamal Adams, only to balk at a reported asking price of at least a first and two seconds. It would've been an enormous risk to give up such a package then. But now, with Adams hurting the Jets' leverage by apparently preparing to hold out for a new big-money contract, Dallas should again test New York's resolve. The 17th overall pick will have to be included in any deal. Jerry Jones would be a happy man if the Cowboys are able to get Adams - who grew up near Dallas - for only that selection. But it'll likely take another pick to get the Jets to bite.Adams would also need a new deal that places him among the NFL's highest-paid safeties. The Cowboys have around $13 million in cap space, 15th in the league, according to Spotrac. But extending the franchise-tagged Dak Prescott would free up more than enough funds to lock down Adams. The high cost would be worth the reward as Dallas looks to contend in 2020. Adams would immediately solve the roster's biggest weakness and help bolster a secondary that lost cornerback Byron Jones in free agency.Eagles make move for RuggsTrade details: Eagles send No. 21, No. 103, 2021 2nd-round pick to the Jets for No. 11If the Philadelphia Eagles want to see MVP-caliber play from Carson Wentz again, the young quarterback will need more explosive weapons. Arguably no player in the draft fits that description better than Henry Ruggs III, whose 4.27-second 40-yard dash tied for the sixth-fastest mark in combine history.Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson are contracted through the 2021 season, but rumors suggest the former isn't long for Philadelphia, while the latter can be cut after 2020 with little financial impact. Moreover, Jeffery is 30 and Jackson is 33, and both have struggled with injuries.Beyond the veteran duo, the Eagles only have sophomore J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, who disappointed hugely as a rookie, and Greg Ward, who came on strong late in the season while working from the slot. Simply put, Philly needs a long-term No. 1 wideout.Wentz is at his best when able to attack defenses downfield. It makes sense to pair him with a speedster like Ruggs, who is also a far more refined route-runner than most players with elite wheels.Meanwhile, the Jets would own the 17th (from the proposed Adams deal) and 21st overall picks, giving general manager Joe Douglas, a former Eagles executive, multiple chances to find difference-makers for Darnold.Colts jump back into 1st for LoveIcon Sportswire / Getty ImagesTrade details: Colts send No. 34, No. 75 to the Seahawks for No. 27With Philip Rivers only signed for one season, the Indianapolis Colts need to find a long-term answer at quarterback sooner rather than later. It was assumed Indy would target one at No. 13 until it made the bold move of trading its first-round pick for defensive tackle DeForest Buckner. But while the Colts presumably didn't like the quarterbacks they projected to be available at their former top selection, they are prime candidates to jump back into the end of the first round to end a possible Jordan Love fall.Love is widely considered the class' fourth-best quarterback and is the first round's biggest wild card. It's easy to see the former Utah State standout picked inside the top 10 by a team unwilling to risk losing him (like the Giants with Daniel Jones last year). However, it's equally realistic that Love's media hype doesn't align with how he's viewed around the league. The Colts would provide the perfect landing spot for Love to develop his skill set, which he sorely needs. The physical talent is clear (he's been consistently compared to Patrick Mahomes), but a year working with head coach Frank Reich on the bench could go a long way to fixing Love's decision-making and mechanical issues. The Seattle Seahawks are the most obvious candidates to trade out of the first. The NFC West club hasn't kept its original first-rounder since 2011, and with a weak pass-rusher class, it would be better suited to move down once again and pick up an extra third-rounder.Bucs secure elite OT for BradyTrade details: Buccaneers send No. 14, No. 76, 2021 3rd-round pick to Panthers for No. 7The Tampa Bay Buccaneers could stand pat at 14th overall and still come away with one of the four top offensive tackles - Jedrick Wills Jr., Andrew Thomas, Tristan Wirfs, or Mekhi Becton. But with such a small window to win with Tom Brady, the Bucs shouldn't leave the 42-year-old's protection to chance. The Arizona Cardinals (eighth), Cleveland Browns (10th), and Jets (11th) could all be in the market for a tackle, so the Bucs will need to make a move to ensure they aren't left empty-handed.Concluding a deal with a division rival is hard but not impossible. Moreover, the Carolina Panthers should be motivated to stockpile assets amid a major rebuild.Tampa Bay's offensive line isn't as bad as its 2019 sack numbers suggest. Left tackle Donovan Smith is a decent starter and the interior is good at pass protection, but the unit is still projected to start journeyman Joe Haeg at right tackle. That might make Wills the most natural target. He played at right tackle for his entire Alabama career, so he could start there during his rookie season before sliding over to replace Smith.*Terms and conditions apply. theScore is offering fans the chance to win $5,000 USD with our Top 10 Draft Contest!* Correctly predict the first 10 draft picks in the order they're called to win.The Tampa Bay Buccaneers acquired Rob Gronkowski, who is ending his retirement, and a seventh-round pick from the New England Patriots for a fourth-round selection on Tuesday."Rob Gronkowski is one of the best tight ends in NFL history and he plays the game with the type of passion and desire that sets him apart," Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht said. "Rob has played his entire career alongside Tom Brady and their accomplishments speak for themselves. Together they have developed the type of chemistry on and off the field that is crucial to success."Rob combines elite-level skills as both a receiver and blocker, but what really makes him special is the fact that he's a proven winner who brings that championship mindset and work ethic."Gronkowski retired at the end of the 2018 season after winning his third Super Bowl. The five-time Pro Bowl tight end spent last year in the broadcast studio as an analyst for FOX Sports.Gronkowski, who has one year left on his contract, hinted Monday that he'd be open to a reunion with Brady, who left the Patriots to sign with the Buccaneers in free agency."I'm feeling good right now, I'm happy where I'm at," Gronkowski said on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.""You just never know, man," he added. "You just never know. You never know. I'm not totally done."After deciding to hang up his cleats last offseason, Gronkowski said he was physically and mentally drained from football. The 30-year-old appeared slower during his final campaign, posting only 682 yards and three touchdowns over 13 contests. He was a greater factor in the playoffs though, producing a big performance in the AFC title game against the Kansas City Chiefs and setting up the game-winning touchdown in Super Bowl LIII with a sprawling fourth-quarter catch near the goal line.Gronkowski spent all nine of his previous NFL seasons in New England, where he emerged as a superstar. When healthy, he was a touchdown machine and a matchup nightmare. His 79 career touchdown receptions rank first in Patriots history. He would only return to play for the Buccaneers, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.New England nearly traded Gronkowski to the Detroit Lions before the 2018 draft, but he threatened to retire if the deal was completed, saying he was uninterested in catching passes from anyone besides Brady. The pending arrival of Gronkowski in Tampa could pave the way for the Buccaneers to trade either O.J. Howard or Cameron Brate.Gronkowski recently signed with WWE, and he became the professional wrestling promotion's 24/7 champion at WrestleMania 36, which aired in early April.*Terms and conditions apply. theScore is offering fans the chance to win $5,000 USD with our Top 10 Draft Contest!* Correctly predict the first 10 draft picks in the order they're called to win.Despite backing Jimmy Garoppolo publicly, the San Francisco 49ers did indeed consider pursuing Tom Brady in free agency."When you're talking about one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time with Tom Brady, of course you're going to have some internal discussion," general manager John Lynch told "The Rich Eisen Show" on Tuesday. "And then you hear rumors that hey, he'd like to come home, that kind of thing. So of course (head coach) Kyle (Shanahan) and I have discussions."Rumblings of a Brady-49ers marriage surfaced around the NFL combine after the 49ers fell to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIV. In that game, Garoppolo overthrew Emmanuel Sanders on a potential go-ahead touchdown late, prompting questions about whether the 49ers can win a title with him at quarterback."We're always into getting better, so you always look at everything, especially a situation like that," added Lynch. "But within a day or two, Kyle and I looked at each other and said, 'You know what, we really like what we have in Jimmy.' We love everything that he brings and we really believe it's a long-term answer. I would tell you we're more convicted than ever about who our quarterback is in Jimmy Garoppolo."Incidentally, Garoppolo backed up Brady on the New England Patriots for three-plus seasons before San Francisco acquired him in a trade. The 49ers endorsed Garoppolo at the combine but didn't rush to squash the Brady rumors as they picked up steam."Kyle and I had just made a statement at the combine, stating how much we believed in Jimmy," Lynch said. "Then these rumors come out. ... If you start chasing every rumor out there and making a statement on it, then you're doing that all the time. Yes, this was a bigger one, but the important thing was we had talked to Jimmy and told him exactly what I told you."Garoppolo threw for 3,978 yards with 27 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in 2019, which marked his return from a torn ACL he had suffered the year prior.Brady ultimately signed a two-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, leaving the Patriots after a 20-year run that included six Super Bowl titles.*Terms and conditions apply. The 2020 NFL Draft is merely days away. While every team brings a different strategy to the table, landing the best player available while also plugging a roster hole is the perfect scenario. Let's play matchmaker for all 32 teams and identify one ideal pick for each club.BearsDamon Arnette - CB, Ohio StateThe Bears don't own a first-round pick this year, but they have two second-rounders to address needs on both sides of the ball. One of their positions of need is cornerback, where Arnette is an ideal Day 2 target who can immediately compete for a starting spot opposite Kyle Fuller. The Ohio State product has experience playing in a number of defensive schemes and possesses the coverage skills to aid a stout front seven.BengalsKenneth Murray - LB, OklahomaIcon Sportswire / Icon Sportswire / GettyCincinnati has a glaring need at linebacker, and the beginning of the second round is right about where Murray should be coming off the board. The Oklahoma star would bring limitless range and leadership to the middle of the Bengals' defense.BillsJulian Okwara - EDGE, Notre DameThe Bills don't have many needs to address, but finding a speed-rusher to complement the rest of a stout defensive front should be among their top priorities. Okwara can do just that from the outset, and there's the upside for much more as he gets stronger.BroncosHenry Ruggs III - WR, AlabamaWhat better way to help quarterback Drew Lock break out in his second campaign than to add the fastest receiver in the 2020 class. Not only would Ruggs mesh well with Lock's strong arm and aggressive playstyle, but his speed and home-run ability is the perfect complement to Courtland Sutton's size. Similar to the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs, Denver could employ a pick-your-poison offense this season and beyond with Ruggs in tow.BrownsAndrew Thomas - OT, GeorgiaIt's no secret the Browns are in desperate need of an upgrade at left tackle. New head coach Kevin Stefanski and general manager Andrew Berry can't afford to have Baker Mayfield regress in his third year under center, and protecting his blind side is the most crucial step in preventing that. Stefanski runs an outside zone-heavy offensive scheme, so his tackles must be athletic enough to block on the move. Luckily for Cleveland, Thomas is an ideal target at No. 10 overall and fits the club's new offense to a tee.BuccaneersIcon Sportswire / Icon Sportswire / GettyClyde Edwards-Helaire - RB, LSUThere isn't a better fit for the Bucs' offense in this year's class than Edwards-Helaire. As the most polished receiver out of the backfield among his peers, he can provide an outlet option for Tom Brady when top targets Mike Evans and Chris Godwin are blanketed in coverage. With the ball in his hands, the former Tiger can create chunk yards after contact - similar to Brady's old pal James White in New England. Edwards-Helaire is everything Tampa Bay wanted Ronald Jones to be and would diversify the team's scoring unit.CardinalsTristan Wirfs - OL, IowaWhether it's at guard or tackle, the Cardinals need to make some major upgrades to their offensive line. The good news is that Wirfs could be a high-level starter at either spot, and his athleticism makes him a nice fit for Kliff Kingsbury's offense.ChargersJalen Hurts - QB, OklahomaNobody would be surprised to see the Chargers go with a quarterback in the first round, but it's far from a lock. If they're not sold at their options at that spot, scooping up one of this year's uber-talented offensive tackles and then targeting Hurts in the second round makes plenty of sense. The Oklahoma quarterback is coming into his own as a passer, he's known as a phenomenal leader, and with Tyrod Taylor and Easton Stick already in the quarterback room, it's fair to assume Anthony Lynn has his sights set on athletes at the quarterback position. Los Angeles could build an offense around Hurts' ability as a ball carrier.ChiefsCam Akers - RB, Florida StateThe reigning Super Bowl champions should address a few minor weaknesses on defense, but forgive us for being excited about a stud running back potentially rounding out Kansas City's lethal offense. Akers made the most of a poor blocking situation at Florida State and would thrive sharing a backfield with Patrick Mahomes. The explosive rusher makes for an ideal Day 2 target for the Chiefs to pair with pass-catching back Damien Williams while giving Kansas City yet another player for opponents to defend.ColtsGrant Halverson / Getty Images Sport / GettyTee Higgins - WR, ClemsonWith T.Y. Hilton winning downfield and Parris Campbell running underneath, the Colts will likely target a big X receiver to dominate on the perimeter and in the red zone for Philip Rivers. No longer owning a first-round pick, Indianapolis would be wise to target Higgins early in the second frame. The Clemson product is the type of wideout Rivers formed a strong rapport with during his time with the Chargers, and he would add a new wrinkle to Frank Reich's offense. While not among the top-tier prospects in a historic receiver class, Higgins offers the natural size, ball skills, and body control most of his peers lack.CowboysA.J. Terrell - CB, ClemsonThe Cowboys have yet to replace Byron Jones - who signed with the Miami Dolphins this offseason - so they're likely to target an outside cornerback in the 2020 draft. Terrell may not be the athlete that Jones is, but his speed, length, and technique will likely make him an instant contributor in the pros. Dallas addressed its front seven in free agency, and Terrell represents an ideal first-round target to round out a stout stop unit.DolphinsTua Tagovailoa - QB, AlabamaWe don't have access to the same medical information that teams get, so there's no way to know if Tua's health really is a concern. Assuming positive evaluations, though, the Dolphins can't overthink this one. He's the reason their tanking efforts began in the first place, and he's the kind of superstar talent that can lead them back to contention.EaglesDenzel Mims - WR, BaylorBarring a trade up into the early teens, the Eagles likely won't be able to get one of the draft's top three receivers. Mims is the perfect alternative, as his combination of size and athleticism, including his freakish short-area quickness, provides similarly enticing upside, and perhaps even more value.FalconsMark Brown / Getty Images Sport / GettyBryce Hall - CB, VirginiaAtlanta is reportedly interested in moving into the top 10 to select a top-tier defensive prospect, but there are some quality Day 2 defensive options if the club is unable to find a trade partner. Regardless, Hall is exactly the type of cornerback Dan Quinn covets for his defense. Tall, long, physical, and instinctive in zone coverage, the Virginia product fills the Falcons' biggest need. Atlanta could even trade up to select Isaiah Simmons and nab Hall later in the draft.49ersJavon Kinlaw - DT, South CarolinaKinlaw would make Niners fans forget about DeForest Buckner fairly quickly - he has that much potential. San Francisco dealt Buckner to the Colts for the 13th overall pick and would be wise to use the selection on his replacement. Kinlaw possesses the burst, length, and raw power to thrive as a space-eating interior rusher while the likes of Nick Bosa, Dee Ford, and Arik Armstead dominate on the edge. That's smart business for John Lynch.GiantsIsaiah Simmons - LB/S, ClemsonNew York needs talent all over the defense. Why not start with a player who can play all over the defense. Simmons is the perfect defensive chess piece for today's game, with his best fit perhaps being an early-down safety who plays the role of a dime linebacker to exploit certain matchups on passing downs. Either way, he's the kind of difference-maker the Giants may not be able to pass up.JaguarsCJ Henderson - CB, FloridaIt feels like Jacksonville has endless needs to address on its roster, but cornerback may be the most crucial. The Jaguars unsurprisingly struggled in pass defense after trading Jalen Ramsey, so adding his long-term replacement seems like a good place to start when rebuilding their defense. Henderson is not only a scheme fit in Todd Wash's secondary, but he offers All-Pro potential as a man-cover corner who can shadow opponents' No. 1 receivers.JetsKevin C. Cox / Getty Images Sport / GettyCeeDee Lamb - WR, OklahomaJoe Douglas and Adam Gase will look to improve the Jets' blocking unit via the draft, but adding a legitimate weapon for Sam Darnold - something he's never had - is more important as he enters his third NFL campaign. Arguably the premier prospect in a historic receiver class, Lamb would pair perfectly with Darnold's aggressive mentality. New York shouldn't overthink its first-round selection - Lamb is simply too talented to let him slip away.LionsJeff Okudah - CB, Ohio StateOne of the easier fits to envision ahead of Thursday's draft, Okudah is exactly the type of defensive prospect Bob Quinn and Matt Patricia covet in their secondary. With man-cover skills and the ability to play the ball throughout the entire catch process, the All-American defender is the best possible replacement for Darius Slay and addresses the Lions' biggest roster weakness. A consensus top-five prospect, Okudah's addition is a win-win scenario for Detroit.PackersJalen Reagor - WR, TCUGreen Bay desperately needs to add speed and playmaking ability to its receiving corps as Aaron Rodgers enters the final stages of his career. Reagor can both stretch the field vertically and use his quickness to create separation underneath. Adding his skill set opposite Davante Adams would take the Packers' offense to the next level.PanthersDerrick Brown - DT, AuburnWith Luke Kuechly retired and new head coach Matt Rhule leading the squad, Carolina is in need of a new defensive identity. Enter Brown. The powerful defensive tackle would fill a major hole in the middle of the Panthers' stop unit next to Kawann Short and can immediately contribute against the run and pass. Rhule will likely opt for a slow rebuild in Carolina, and Brown is the ideal blue-chip prospect to see it through.PatriotsKevin C. Cox / Getty ImagesK'Lavon Chaisson - EDGE, LSUChaisson is much more than a speed-rusher off of the edge - the LSU product already has an extensive arsenal of pass-rush moves, he plays the run well, and he's effective dropping into coverage. Partial to front-seven players who can do a bit of everything, and looking for Kyle Van Noy's replacement, the Patriots would have to be thrilled to have Chaisson fall to them in the first.RaidersJerry Jeudy - WR, AlabamaNot only is Jeudy one of the best route-runners to make the transition to the NFL in years, but he also has the athleticism to stretch a defense and make plays after the catch. That skill set is exactly what Jon Gruden should be looking for as his search for a No. 1 receiver continues.RamsMalik Harrison - LB, Ohio StateThe Rams find themselves with a glaring hole in the middle of the defense after losing Cory Littleton to free agency. Harrison is the ideal candidate to fill that void in the middle rounds, and he'll make an immediate impact with his ability in the run game.RavensYetur Gross-Matos - EDGE, Penn StateBaltimore's defense might be an edge upgrade away from elite status. Gross-Matos is an outstanding athlete who's begun to show signs of an expanded pass-rusher repertoire, and the Ravens can help him take that development to the next level. He's also got plenty of size with room to add more, so there would be no concerns about him being an every-down player.RedskinsSteven Branscombe / Getty Images Sport / GettyBrycen Hopkins - TE, PurdueChase Young is the slam-dunk pick at No. 2 overall, but the Redskins have a number of other roster holes to address. One of these positions is tight end, where Jeremy Sprinkle currently sits atop the team's depth chart after Jordan Reed's release. Hopkins isn't an elite prospect, but he offers the speed and route-running skills to develop into a reliable weapon for Dwayne Haskins.SaintsPatrick Queen - LB, LSUQueen is an explosive linebacker talent who has the well-rounded skill set to be equally impactful against both the run and pass. That three-down ability makes him a strong fit for today's NFL, and it's something the Saints could use as they seek a long-term upgrade for the middle of their defense.SeahawksJabari Zuniga - EDGE, FloridaThe Seahawks appear unlikely to re-sign Jadeveon Clowney, so a replacement on the edge is much-needed to boost their pass rush. Zuniga is exactly the type of defensive end head coach Pete Carroll would target across from 2019 first-rounder L.J. Collier. The former Gator is quick, athletic, and explosive - we have a difficult time finding a better match for him than Seattle.SteelersLucas Niang - OT, TCURight tackle is the most obvious need on an otherwise strong Steelers offense. Unlike the other tackles projected to come off the board on Day 2, Niang is no project. The TCU standout is an athletic, scheme-versatile lineman who is ready to contribute right away, which should go a long way toward making the most of Ben Roethlisberger's last years under center.TexansIcon Sportswire / Icon Sportswire / GettyJosh Uche - EDGE, MichiganHouston still hasn't filled the pass-rush void left behind by Clowney. Uche doesn't have the size to be an every-down defender on the edge, but he can be moved all over the front seven on early downs before getting after the quarterback in passing situations. The Texans should covet Uche's versatility.TitansTerrell Lewis - EDGE, AlabamaAdding Vic Beasley on a one-year deal does little to address a major need on the defensive edge. Tennessee could make the most of Lewis' explosiveness and heavy hands in developing him as a long-term partner for Harold Landry up front.VikingsJustin Jefferson - WR, LSUHeading into Thursday's draft, Minnesota must address some key roster spots - including receiver, cornerback, and defensive end. With two first-round selections, general manager Rick Spielman would do well to add Jefferson. Able to thrive in the slot and pitch in on the perimeter, the former LSU star profiles as an ideal long-term replacement for the departed Stefon Diggs. A reliable target for Kirk Cousins will prevent the Vikings' offense from regressing in 2020.Copyright © 2020 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. Certain content reproduced under license.

Find out the latest on COVID-19's impact on the sports world and when sports are returning by subscribing to Breaking News push notifications in the Sports and COVID-19 section.Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is well aware that he's dealing with the coronavirus pandemic from a fortunate position. While appearing on former Packers teammate A.J. Hawk's podcast, "The Hawk Cast," on Friday, Rodgers explained why he won't follow other celebrities who've offered messages about the pandemic."One thing that I'm sure you'd love - sarcasm - that I haven't done and will not do is being one of those celebs who's telling you how difficult it is, or stay-in-your-home stuff from a mansion or from this or that," Rodgers said (starts around the 15:00 mark). He added: "There's real people hurting, so I'm not gonna sit here in my privilege and tell people from my ivory tower to do this or do that. I just think it falls on deaf ears."I will say, let's all be smart. Let's be smart about what we're doing and who we're seeing. But man, I know people are hurting and that is way more important to me than some sort of message that I can relate to you."Rodgers was nearly stuck in Peru during March as the country shut down due to COVID-19. He and his travel companions ended up making their private flight out of Cusco just 15 minutes before the airport was set to close.Copyright © 2020 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. theScore is offering fans the chance to win $5,000 USD with our Top 10 Draft Contest!* Correctly predict the first 10 draft picks in the order they're called to win.I'll be completely honest to open things up: There isn't a prospect in this 2020 NFL Draft class I'm more puzzled by than Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa.Tagovailoa was the chalk to go No. 1 overall during parts of last season, but he suffered a hip injury in November that required surgery and shut him down for the final few games. Then two weeks ago, it was revealed that the quarterback failed a pair of medicals and that he'd suffered a pair of unknown wrist injuries in the past. With those red flags percolating through the football world, there's a chance Tagovailoa will fall on draft day.Or, maybe a franchise views him as the second-best quarterback on the board and won't let him slide. There's certainly a lot to sort out with the recent buzz, and we can help with that.Without further ado, here are the best Tagovailoa-related prop bets to make this week.Team to draft Tua Tagovailoa Team OddsDolphins+105Chargers+105Jaguars+850Raiders+950Lions+1100Redskins+1500Patriots+2000Panthers+2500Bengals+3300Colts+5000Buccaneers+7000Bears+10000Our own Tom Casale got a great number on the Chargers to draft Tagovailoa at +160 last week. With that price long gone, the Jaguars are the best value play at +850. Some of these long shots like Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, and Chicago would need to trade up to get Tua. I see Jacksonville in a nice spot at No. 9 overall, as the team also owns the 20th selection, which could be used to move up.Tua Tagovailoa draft spot over/under 4.5 (-250 / +180)I felt comfortable going over 3.5 immediately after it was revealed that Tagovailoa failed two physicals. The fact that many teams already gained quarterbacks in free agency has suppressed the market quite a bit. Looking at the board and how the draft order could play out, I'm not sure there's a scenario where the under hits unless a franchise is truly all-in on Tagovailoa. It would have to come via trade, and I'm banking on both the Lions and Giants - who will pick third and fourth, respectively - addressing positional needs rather than getting an offer they can't refuse.Pick: Over 4.5 (-250)Will Tagovailoa or Herbert get drafted first?Player OddsTua Tagovailoa-115Justin Herbert-115Justin Herbert's another tricky handicap, which probably does more harm than good in this market. He was viewed as the third-best QB option behind Joe Burrow and Tagovailoa throughout much of the draft process, but he's now starting to look like the QB2 of the class.Similar to Tagovailoa, Herbert has the Dolphins and Chargers as the two favorites to land him. The former Oregon quarterback's been sitting with an over/under draft slot of 5.5 over the last few weeks, with the juice on the over topping out at -200. As it stands, Herbert is listed at -115 both ways on the over/under. The under may have gotten a slight boost in recent days thanks to the Giants reported interest in the 6-foot-6 prospect.I'm not buying Herbert to New York, but I do think he's in play at No. 5 to Miami, which would ultimately come before Tagovailoa is off the board.Pick: Herbert -115*Terms and conditions apply. Former XFL commissioner Oliver Luck filed a federal lawsuit last week against the league's founder, billionaire Vince McMahon, for wrongful termination, according to The Athletic's Daniel Kaplan.Luck is reportedly seeking unspecified damages from McMahon, who also is the chairman and CEO of WWE.The former NFL quarterback was hired as commissioner of the rebooted XFL football league in 2018, reportedly for at least $20 million over multiple years. After beginning play in 2020, the XFL filed for bankruptcy on April 13, days after suspending operations and laying off all employees. The league's first season back was canceled after six weeks due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In Luck's six-page complaint, it's suggested that McMahon fired him for cause."Mr. Luck wholly disputes and rejects the allegations set forth in the Termination Letter and contends they are pretextual and devoid of merit," it reads.Luck, the father of former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck, was previously the head of NFL Europe and the NCAA's executive vice president for regulatory affairs.Copyright © 2020 Score Media Ventures Inc. theScore is offering fans the chance to win $5,000 USD with our Top 10 Draft Contest!* Correctly predict the first 10 draft picks in the order they're called to win.DeAndre Hopkins wants it to be known that he and Bill O'Brien did not exactly see eye to eye."There was no relationship (with O'Brien)," Hopkins told Sports Illustrated's Greg Bishop. "Make sure you put that in there. There's not a lot to speak about."Hopkins was traded from the Houston Texans to the Arizona Cardinals last month along with a fourth-round pick in exchange for running back David Johnson, a second-rounder, and a fourth-round pick. The return for arguably the game's best wide receiver stunned the football world. O'Brien, the head coach and general manager of the Texans, was highly criticized for the move. He said afterward the deal was made "in the best interest of our team."However, Hopkins was not shocked he was shipped to the Cardinals, stating last week he was "preparing" for a move. Even though he loved quarterback Deshaun Watson and the rest of his teammates, as well as the city of Houston, Hopkins revealed he wanted to be dealt. The league's 14th-highest-paid wide receiver (by cap hit) wanted more money, and O'Brien wouldn't give it to him."Asking for a little raise would lead to the outcome that I got,†he said. “Which is the outcome that I wanted.â€NFL Network analyst and former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin claimed Hopkins told him that O'Brien once compared him to former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez."Hopkins has a few kids from different women - (O'Brien) told DeAndre he doesn't like that he has his 'baby mamas' around sometimes, and from that, I think the relationship just went bad," Irvin said.Soon after, Hopkins took to Twitter to say the story was "blown way out of proportion," and that he has the "utmost respect" for O'Brien.*Terms and conditions apply. There's a video floating around the internet of ex-Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer talking to a group of football campers a couple of years back. About a minute into the clip, Meyer drops Patriots head coach Bill Belichick's name and reveals a bit of a secret."Bill Belichick will come in, he'll ask me two very critical questions," Meyer says. "What kind of teammate is he? And how does he perform in the big game? He didn't ask me how he runs around in shorts and T-shirts, and what's his 40 time, and those type of things."From just about anyone else, this might sound like nebulous, coach-speak pablum. But coming from Meyer and Belichick, there's some merit to it. Granted, Meyer and Belichick would never completely stack their rosters with talentless try-hards; they simply understand that group motivation depends on having lots of try-hards around to buy into whatever it is they're selling. And what they're selling has actually won a lot of football games.Which brings us to this weekend's NFL draft in general, and to University of Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm in particular. As many as three or four quarterbacks could get selected in Thursday night's first round; Fromm is not expected to be one of them. Most scouting reports suggest he'll get taken somewhere in the middle rounds. On one hand, the 6-foot-2, 220-pound Fromm lacks the physical tools - size, arm strength, mobility - to be an ideal NFL QB. The flip side is that he also possesses a lot of the traits that might seize the attention of a coach like Belichick, who happens to be in the market for a QB for the first time in 20 years. But what might that really mean for Fromm's potential as a pro?"Fromm has outstanding poise, toughness, and intelligence - he has every intangible you'd want at the position," NFL Network analyst and former scout Daniel Jeremiah told me. "He just doesn't have a big arm and he's not as athletic as you'd prefer."Chris Graythen / Getty ImagesHow this might translate to the NFL is anyone's guess. For all the resources that go into scouting and player personnel, every one of the league's franchises has more misses than hits when it comes to the draft - the Patriots included. This analysis likewise rings true for the game's most important position, where there are no sure things.Think of a QB, then think back to when he was drafted, and to which team picked him. Reigning Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes? Yes, the Chiefs traded up to nab him at No. 10 overall, but he was the third QB selected in 2017. And Mahomes has undoubtedly benefited from playing for Andy Reid, a whizbang play-caller who chose to give him a redshirt year behind Alex Smith. Let's not forget that the first QB off the board in 2017 was Mitchell Trubisky, whom the Bears traded up to select at No. 2 overall. Trubisky might well lose his job this year to Nick Foles, a former Super Bowl MVP whom the Jaguars shipped out after just one year because they seem to like what they have in Gardner Minshew, a 2019 sixth-round pick. What about 2019 NFL MVP Lamar Jackson? The Ravens grabbed him with the 32nd pick of the 2018 first round, but only after Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, Josh Allen, and Josh Rosen all went in the top 10. Also, Baltimore later retooled its offense around Jackson's extraordinary dual-threat abilities. Jared Goff and Carson Wentz were the top two picks in 2016, while Dak Prescott didn't go until the fourth round. Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota went one-two in 2015; Winston's still without a team, while Mariota is headed to the Raiders to be Derek Carr's backup. The point? There's no way to gauge whether a QB's draft stock will determine whether he'll be a success in the NFL."You don’t win championships by drafting a quarterback," The Ringer's Kevin Clark wrote recently, "you win them by figuring out what the hell to do with the quarterback."This is precisely what makes Fromm such an intriguing prospect. In the right place, with the right personnel and coaching around him, what's to say he can't be a solid NFL quarterback, given all of his other attributes and what he's achieved? As a freshman at Houston County (Georgia) High School, Fromm eventually supplanted a senior to become the starter. In 2017, as a true freshman at Georgia, he replaced an injured Jacob Eason in the Bulldogs' first game - and never relinquished the job. Eason, who is also draft eligible, wound up transferring to Washington. The following year, Georgia landed five-star recruit Justin Fields; Fromm beat him out, too, and Fields soon departed for Ohio State.Fromm guided Georgia to the national championship game against Alabama in 2017; it took Tua Tagovailoa replacing Jalen Hurts at halftime to beat him. In 2018, he again had the Crimson Tide in trouble, this time in the SEC title game. Yet it took Hurts coming off the bench to spell an injured Tagovailoa for Bama to win it."I don't like saying what-ifs," David Morris, Fromm's private coach at QB Country in Mobile, Alabama, told me. "But those are two great football players, and Jake had them on the ropes, and it takes both of them to beat him."Fromm was viewed as a potential first-round pick heading into 2019. But with most of his experienced skill players having moved on, his production dipped a bit and his stock fell. He finished with a strong performance in a win against Baylor in the Sugar Bowl and opted to declare for the draft after three seasons anyway.By all indications, Fromm possesses something of an "it" factor. It's easy to find feature stories about him that reference his infectious, down-home personality. He even does a pretty on-point turkey call:

He had a cancerous growth removed from his head last offseason. When on the field, Williams has established himself as one of the NFL's premier blind-side protectors, making the Pro Bowl during every season from 2012 to 2018.Williams has the potential to be the missing ingredient for a Cleveland offense loaded with weapons. theScore is offering fans the chance to win $5,000 USD with our Top 10 Draft Contest!* Correctly predict the first 10 draft picks in the order they're called to win.Teams looking to upgrade at wide receiver must be salivating. This is one of the deepest drafts for the position in recent memory, with the over/under set at 5.5 receivers to be drafted in Round 1.Here, our betting team gives its best bets for which wide receiver will be picked first on Thursday.PlayerOddsJerry Jeudy-150CeeDee Lamb+110Henry Ruggs+400Justin Jefferson+3000Denzel Mims+6000Laviska Shenault+7500Tee Higgins+10000Brandon Aiyuk+15000Jalen Reagor+15000Field - All Others+25000Denzel Mims, +6000Lamb will likely go off the board first, but one receiver who's way undervalued is Mims. I grabbed Mims at 100-1 to be the first receiver drafted, and he's still sitting at 60-1 at theScoreBet.The reason for backing Mims is that I believe NFL teams are much higher on him than mock drafts suggest. He's 6-3, 216 pounds and runs a 4.38 40. Teams covet receivers with that kind of size and speed. The former Baylor standout also put on a show at the NFL combine and was highly productive in college. In fact, Mims led all 2020 receiving prospects in percentage of contested catches by a wide margin last season despite playing with a broken hand.Mims possesses all the qualities to be a top-15 selection on Thursday, and teams picking in that range, like the Jacksonville Jaguars and Denver Broncos, are said to be high on him. Given the uncertainty of the draft, Mims is arguably the most undervalued player at any position. He's worth a shot at long odds.-Thomas CasaleCeeDee Lamb, +110You can make a case for Jeudy, Lamb, Ruggs, and even Jefferson as the 2020 WR1, but I'm playing Lamb at plus-money. I've already wagered on the Oklahoma product being picked before 12.5 and have some skin on him being the first off the board, with Jefferson's value at 30-1 a close second.I'm strictly playing the numbers here. Lamb's primarily been second behind Jeudy on the oddsboard, and he's also been the favorite at certain points. I don't think a team will be scared to trade up for Lamb either, making him the most likely receiver to be drafted first.-Alex KolodziejHenry Ruggs, +400My biggest stance in this market is on Lamb at +175 - a bet I placed earlier this month - but instead of repeating everything Alex Kolodziej just wrote, I'd rather play the role of contrarian.Let me paint what I think is a very realistic picture: No wide receiver is taken inside the top 11, with the New York Jets opting to address a glaring need on their offensive line. With the No. 12 selection, the Las Vegas Raiders have their pick of the litter at receiver, and while Lamb profiles more like a Mike Mayock type, Henry Ruggs is absolutely a Jon Gruden guy.So, in typically unpredictable fashion - look no further than Clelin Ferrell last year - the Raiders take a swing at the home run hitter from Alabama. You're really going to give me 4-1 on that? Yes, please.-Alex MorettoCeeDee Lamb, +110I don't care about being redundant; I just want to win money. And betting Lamb as the first receiver off the board is a stellar value at plus-money, especially considering he's quietly seized control of the WR1 spot in most mock drafts and scouting ranks.Jeudy is the quintessential "solid prospect," but Lamb teases upside that merits taking a receiver in the top 12. The Arizona Cardinals are intriguing at No. 8 - Lamb played with quarterback Kyler Murray at Oklahoma - and the Jets need a difference-maker at No. 11. Lamb is that guy. Take the plus-money and run.-C Jackson Cowart*Terms and conditions apply. Other players projected to go in the top five are linebacker Isaiah Simmons, cornerback Jeff Okudah, and offensive tackle Jedrick Wills Jr.Washington is considered unlikely to target a quarterback with the selection after using last year's first-round pick on Dwayne Haskins. The NFC East club is beginning a new era under first-year head coach Ron Rivera, so it could choose to sell the No. 2 pick for more assets to fuel its rebuild instead of using it on one blue-chip prospect. The three-day draft is scheduled to begin Thursday.*Terms and conditions apply. Seattle Seahawks signal-caller Russell Wilson is the league's highest annual earner at $35 million.Dallas placed its exclusive tender on Prescott this offseason, which means he can't negotiate with another team. If the two parties don't agree to a long-term extension by July 15, the QB will earn $33 million on the one-year deal. The 26-year-old reportedly turned down a new contract worth $33 million annually with $105 million guaranteed in March. It was reported last week that Prescott won't participate in the Cowboys' virtual offseason program, which started Monday, without a long-term deal.Prescott has earned $4.03 million over four years on his rookie deal since Dallas selected him in the fourth round in 2016. theScore is offering fans the chance to win $5,000 USD with our Top 10 Draft Contest!* Correctly predict the first 10 draft picks in the order they're called to win.Despite a rough start, the NFL's virtual mock draft held on Monday flowed well, according to multiple general managers."The draft went smooth, it got off to a little bit of a hiccup when we first started, but other than that it went really smooth," Denver Broncos general manager John Elway said, according to Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic. "There were really no problems with it, so we got comfortable with it."It should be fine to go on without a glitch. I'm sure there will be a couple glitches here and there, but actually for the first time I thought it went pretty well.""When it comes down to the NFL and the draft, the heroes have been the IT people," Elway added, according to Jhabvala.Green Bay Packers GM Brian Gutekunst had questions regarding the virtual draft setup, and the mock draft apparently provided answers."We got a lot of answers," Gutekunst said, according to Packers.com's Mike Spofford. "That was the big thing, getting through this and finding out the answers (about) how we really want to do this."The NFL organized a final trial run prior to Thursday's draft, giving teams the opportunity to test out remote setups with this year's event taking place virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic. There was a technical glitch with the Cincinnati Bengals' first overall pick during the mock draft. However, the issue, which resulted in a two-and-a-half-minute delay, wasn't the Bengals fault, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter."After the start, it's running smoothly. theScore is offering fans the chance to win $5,000 USD with our Top 10 Draft Contest!* Correctly predict the first 10 draft picks in the order they're called to win. There's a certain allure that comes with predicting which teams will draft which players - perhaps it's the hefty payouts, or maybe it's the ego stroke. But a quick scan of mock drafts from past years - even from the most plugged-in experts - will reveal that doing so is often an impossible task. Teams are reluctant to leak info and are professionals when it comes to throwing others off their scents.Instead, we have a much better chance of formulating a likely range for when each player will go. Here are the best over/under bets for all of 2020's top prospects, excluding the almost guaranteed top two picks, Joe Burrow and Chase Young.Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama (O/U 3.5)The Athletic's Dane Brugler said it best in his mock draft (which has Tua at No. 6): "We aren't talking enough about Tagovailoa and the potential of him dropping farther than this due to the durability and medical concerns."Indeed, teams will be wary of using a high pick on - let alone using precious draft capital to move up for - a guy with significant injury concerns who wasn't able to work out in-house.Pick: Over 3.5 (-300)Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon (O/U 5.5)We're hearing rumblings that the Miami Dolphins might address their offensive line with the No. 5 pick and wait on a quarterback, but I'm not buying it. Teams are raving about Herbert's professionalism, he killed it at the Senior Bowl, and he apparently impressed in interviews. I feel strongly that Miami is ready to invest.Pick: Under 5.5 (-120)Jeffrey Okudah, CB, Ohio State (O/U 4.5)The market should be too soft for the Detroit Lions to trade out of the No. 3 pick, meaning it's overwhelmingly likely that one of Okudah or Derrick Brown winds up in Detroit. At even money, you have to take the under here, and you can even hedge with Brown being selected third after Burrow and Young at +600.Pick: Under 4.5 (-110)Isaiah Simmons, LB, Clemson (O/U 6.5)You can bank on the New York Giants taking an offensive lineman, which means this will likely come down to whether the Los Angeles Chargers nab Simmons or shop elsewhere. Given the personnel on that Chargers defense and the presence of Derwin James, mocking Simmons to L.A. just doesn't make sense. Don't be shocked if he slips out of the top 10.Pick: Over 6.5 (-120)CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma (O/U 12.5)The way I look at it, there are three ways for Lamb to come in under this number - the New York Jets at 11, the Las Vegas Raiders at 12, or if a team like the Philadelphia Eagles trades up to nab him. I'd put the odds of one of those happening closer to -250 than -140.Pick: Under 12.5 (-140)Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama (O/U 11.5)If we see a team trade up for a wide receiver, all signs point to it being Lamb. The Jets are a strong trade-down candidate from their current spot at 11th overall. But if New York stands pat, Lamb or an offensive lineman will be their likely route. Jeudy's ceiling feels like the No. 12 pick.Pick: Over 11.5 (-140)Henry Ruggs III, WR, Alabama (O/U 13.5)This might be the total on this list I feel least confident in. There's just too much variance here. Ruggs could go as early as the 11th overall pick or as late as the early 20s. All it will take is for one team to fall in love with his speed.Raiders coach Jon Gruden certainly loves these take-the-top-off-a-defense guys, and the San Francisco 49ers could use a dynamic downfield threat following the departure of Emmanuel Sanders. Both teams are set to pick inside the top 13. However, Lamb and Jeudy are more Mike Mayock's type, while the 49ers are reportedly looking to trade down. For those reasons, I'm leaning "over" here.Pick: Over 13.5 (-115)Jordan Love, QB, Utah State (O/U 19.5)It's not out of the realm of possibility that Tua falls into the early teens, and that wouldn't be good for Love's draft stock. The quarterback market is a lot cooler this year than in drafts past, and the sheer fact that Jameis Winston and Cam Newton remain free agents speaks to that point. I think Love is a lot likelier to go early in Round 2 than before the No. 20 pick.Pick: Over 19.5 (-160)D'Andre Swift, RB, Georgia (O/U 32.5)Front offices are reluctant to spend first-round picks on running backs these days, and if there's a team at the back end of Round 1 that will take a flier on one, are we sure it'll be Swift? I'm not.Pick: Over 32.5 (-115)Jonathan Taylor, RB, Wisconsin (O/U 37.5)One runner I could see teams falling in love with is Taylor - a workhorse and a human wrecking ball. He's my pick to be the first running back off the board, which should happen in the 26-36 range.Pick: Under 37.5 (+100)*Terms and conditions apply. That's a significant increase from 74% in 2018 and about 41% in 2017.Last year, 0.5% of players wore helmets that were not recommended but also not banned. The results are part of a three-year project the NFL and NFLPA launched to push players toward better-performing helmets and ban them from using poor and outdated models. The 2020 report was distributed to NFL owners this month.Wide receiver Antonio Brown's request for an exception to wear an outdated helmet was denied prior to the beginning of the 2019 season. He eventually moved on to an allowed helmet. The project also aims to reduce reported concussions."There was a lot of skepticism when we started this that helmets could significantly reduce concussions," said Dr. Jeff Crandall, chairman of the NFL's engineering committee. "We've looked at player migration into better-performing helmets, and what we've seen is that the laboratory performance has been supported on the field."A total of 224 concussions were reported in 2019, a slight increase from 214 in 2018.
