That lineup is why we identified members of Detroit's offense as buy-low candidates on this week's podcast episode.Remember, Stafford threw 19 touchdowns in his first eight games last season and was averaging the sixth-most fantasy points at his position before going down with an injury. With Kenny Golladay now fully healthy, Detroit's offense should return to form as the Lions come off their bye. That begins with an easy matchup against a Jaguars defense that ranks 32nd in Football Outsiders' pass defense DVOA and has allowed 10 passing touchdowns over its last four outings.Stafford can confidently be started as a top-10 fantasy QB this week.Boone's projection: 281 passing yards, 2 passing TDs, 14 rushing yardsOther QBs to start

Green admitted Thursday that he was frustrated during Sunday's blowout loss to the Baltimore Ravens, but refuted a suggestion he's pushing for a trade.Green came under fire for a lack of effort during an interception on a Joe Burrow pass intended for him. The receiver didn't jump for the ball and then made little effort to tackle Ravens cornerback Marcus Peters.

"He exemplified many of the values learned from this great game - commitment, integrity, courage - over the course of his life."Our thoughts and prayers are with Fred's wife, Pam, and their entire family. We will forever keep his legacy alive to serve as inspiration for future generations."Last week, former 49ers safety Dwight Hicks posted on Facebook that Dean, his former teammate, was hospitalized with the coronavirus, according to Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle. The then-San Diego Chargers drafted Dean in the second round of the 1975 NFL Draft. After making the Pro Bowl in 1979 and 1980, the defensive end was traded to the 49ers.The Hall of Famer's arrival had sparked San Francisco's Super Bowl title run in 1981, with Dean racking up 12 sacks en route to being named NFC Defensive Player of the Year.

The New York Jets released veteran running back Le'Veon Bell on Tuesday, the team announced."After having conversations with Le'Veon and his agent and exploring potential trade options over the past couple of days, we have made the decision to release Le'Veon," general manager Joe Douglas said in a statement. "The organization appreciates Le'Veon's efforts during his time here and we know he worked hard to make significant contributions to this team. We believe this decision is in the best interests of both parties and wish him future success."The surprise move comes just hours after reports first surfaced indicating the Jets were shopping Bell in an attempt to trade him before this year's deadline. It's a disastrous end to Bell's time in New York, which began when he signed a four-year, $52.5-million deal in 2019. He heads back to the open market having played in just 17 games for the Jets while tallying 863 rushing yards, leaving behind the effects of the investment gone wrong. The Jets effectively paid $27 million in guarantees for that short stint, according to Over The Cap. Of the remaining $6 million owed to him this season, the team can only recoup the value of a deal he signs elsewhere, which is certain to be minimal, given the offset language.
