The NFL is expected to rule on the suspension appeals stemming from Thursday night's brawl between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns no later than Wednesday, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. The verdicts on the three appeals, which jointly appointed officers Derrick Brooks and James Thrash will judge, reportedly could come as soon as Tuesday.Browns defensive end Myles Garrett is currently set to miss at least the rest of the season, including any potential playoff games, for swinging Mason Rudolph's helmet at the quarterback in the final seconds of the game.Meanwhile, Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey and Browns defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi received bans of three games and one game, respectively, for their roles in the melee. The NFL labeled Garrett's discipline an indefinite suspension, saying he'll need to meet with the league "prior to a decision on his reinstatement."However, Garrett will argue the collective bargaining agreement doesn't permit indefinite suspensions for on-field acts, and he'll aim to get his punishment reduced to a finite number of games, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. One of Schefter's sources wouldn't be surprised if at least one of the three suspensions is reduced or overturned.Additionally, the NFL is set to fine a lengthy list of other players. It was previously reported that Rudolph is facing a fine, and Schefter adds the amount could be $35,096 for a first-time fighting offense. The league is also reportedly planning to fine approximately 10 players for leaving the bench area and running onto the field.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. He'll get another easy test this week from a Falcons team allowing the fourth most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks - and that includes its uncharacteristically strong performance last week against the Saints. Prior to that stunner, Atlanta allowed multiple touchdown passes in six straight contests. The NFL was irked when Colin Kaepernick backed out of the workout it had arranged for him less than an hour before it was supposed to begin."We are disappointed that Colin did not appear for his workout," the league wrote Saturday in a statement obtained by NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. "He informed us of that decision at 2:30 p.m. today along with the public."Kaepernick was scheduled to showcase himself at 3 p.m. ET at the Atlanta Falcons' practice facility. He pushed the workout back one hour and moved it to Charles R. Drew High School in Riverdale, Georgia, after he and the league failed to fulfill the conditions each side set forth.Representatives from 25 teams showed up at the Falcons' facility for the workout, along with coach Hue Jackson, who was supposed to lead it. Jackson left for the airport after the late changes were announced, while most teams didn't make the trip to Riverdale.

Find line reports, best bets, and subscribe to push notifications in the Betting News section. No two NFC teams have disappointed relative to expectations more than the Chicago Bears and the Los Angeles Rams, who will meet Sunday night in a potential "loser leaves town" match in the NFC wild-card race. Both clubs are on the outside looking in of the NFC playoff field, but a win for the Rams (5-4) would bring them within one game of the Vikings for the final spot. The Bears (4-5) have a bit more work to do, but they'll face Minnesota in Week 17 and can ill afford to drop Sunday's game against a struggling L.A. team. Here's everything you need to know about the matchup from a betting perspective:Line movementThe Rams opened as seven-point favorites Monday morning but were bet down to -6.5 by Friday behind a run of Bears money.Jay Rood, Bet.Works' chief risk officer and theScore Bet's head trader, said the Bears were seeing 22 times as much money as of Friday, even with the ticket count favoring Chicago by a mere two-to-one advantage. Translation: Sharps love the Bears, and this line could move off +6.5 by Sunday. They're also hitting the under, which opened at 40 and reached 41 before a couple of sharp plays pushed it down to 40.5.Betting trendsSince dominating the Saints in Week 2, when Drew Brees went down with an injury during the game, the Rams simply haven't looked like the same team. In the weeks since then, Los Angeles is 3-1 against the spread versus clubs currently at .400 or worse and 0-3 ATS against teams with a better record, including last week's ugly loss to a Steelers team with a strong defense and a non-existent offense.Sound familiar? According to DVOA, Chicago has the 26th-ranked offense, two spots above Pittsburgh, and the fifth-ranked defense, two spots below the Steelers. The Bears haven't been ATS stalwarts this season, but they've caught 6.5 points or more just once in the Matt Nagy era thanks to a dominant defense that typically keeps things close.Winning big against a non-hapless foe has been a tough test for Sean McVay. Since taking over in 2016, McVay is 11-15-2 ATS against teams with a winning percentage better than .400, including a 4-10-1 run dating back to last season. Six of those last seven games have gone under, too.Under is the big trend for this matchup. Both teams are 6-3 to the under this year with streaks of at least three games. When two teams meet with under streaks of at least three and a total below 41, the under is 15-5-2 since 2004 and 8-2-2 since 2009.McVay's never seen a total this low, but Nagy is 6-2 to the under with totals below 41. This year, games with a total below 41 are 14-3 to the under. The X-factorBoth teams enter this game with a top-five defense, according to DVOA, and top-seven pass-rushing units, according to PFF. That could be an issue for each offense: The Rams' offensive line ranks third-worst in pass-blocking grade, according to PFF, while the Bears have the fifth-worst passing grade overall.Mitchell Trubisky has been a constant sore spot for Chicago, which has topped 21 points just twice this season. L.A.'s offense produced as many turnovers (four) as points in last week's loss to Pittsburgh and couldn't keep Jared Goff off the turf. Khalil Mack and Aaron Donald will be the two best players on the field Sunday, and neither should have much trouble wreaking havoc against two suspect offenses.PickThe last time the Rams won against a competent team was Week 2 vs. New Orleans, which was without Brees for most of the game. Additionally, Cam Newton was playing through an injury during L.A.'s Week 1 victory over Carolina. So it's hard to justify laying nearly a touchdown on a faux contender, even with how uninspiring Chicago has played as of late.Instead of trusting your money with Goff or Trubisky, try the under, which has been cash this season on low totals and looks promising in this spot with two top defenses. These aren't your 2018 Rams, so we likely won't see either side break away Sunday night.C Jackson Cowart is a betting writer for theScore. Find line reports, best bets, and subscribe to push notifications in the Betting News section. The NFL season is entering Week 11 with some big matchups on the slate. Where is the sharp money going? Which lines are moving the most? We're tracking the games that are drawing the most interest from bettors. We talked to Jay Rood, Bet.Works' chief risk officer and theScore Bet's head trader, to see how sharps and public bettors are playing the Week 11 schedule. All lines courtesy of theScore Bet.Dallas Cowboys (-7, 47) at Detroit LionsThis game was off the board until news broke that Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford would miss his second straight contest with a back injury. Bettors were quick to back the Cowboys, and Rood expects that to continue until kickoff."Everything is Cowboys," Rood said. "I would imagine we're gonna need the Lions there."Some of the early numbers in the market favored Dallas by four or five points ahead of the Stafford news, which pushed most books to -7. Road favorites of seven points or more have gone 8-4-1 against the spread this year, including a 2-0 record for the Cowboys.Lions quarterback Jeff Driskel is 4-2 ATS in his career as a starter but just 1-5 straight up, with a loss ATS and SU last week against Chicago.Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers (-4.5, 49.5)The public's been all over the Panthers this week as big home favorites, especially in parlay activity, but sharps are all-in on the Falcons as live road 'dogs.A week after Atlanta downed New Orleans as a sizable underdog, bettors bought the Dirty Birds down from +7 all the way to +4.5 as of Saturday afternoon. Rood hadn't expected a big movement on Friday, so this game could creep back up depending on Sunday's early activity."It could be one of those ones where the sharps take the Falcons and keep you at a depressed number, even with what the public is doing on this game," he said.New Orleans Saints (-6, 50.5) at Tampa Bay BuccaneersSpeaking of New Orleans, the Saints are having no trouble earning the confidence of bettors a week after stumbling versus Atlanta.Drew Brees and Co. have seen a 4-to-1 ticket-count advantage and a whopping 20-to-1 edge in money over the Buccaneers, who haven't won ATS since Week 4. The Saints opened at -5, but the onslaught of money on the road favorites pushed the line to -6, and Rood said he expects it'll get to at least -6.5 by kickoff."That's our heaviest wagered-on game right now," Rood said Friday. "That's gonna be a big game in the morning for us."Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers (-10.5, 45)It was only two weeks ago when Kyler Murray and the frisky Cardinals nearly toppled an (at the time) undefeated San Francisco team in Arizona. This game will be on the Niners' home turf, but bettors are buying another potential upset."We've got a little money going against San Francisco early," Rood said. "Maybe everybody thinks that they got exposed a little bit (in the Week 10 loss to Seattle)."The early returns have favored the Cardinals with a 4-to-1 ticket-count advantage and a small edge in money, which pushed the Niners down from -11.5 to -10.5 as of Saturday. Some books opened with San Fran as high as -14, but the public is pretty overwhelmingly in support of Arizona."Eleven is a big number in the NFL," Rood said of the opening line. "The Cardinals have been scrappy. They've covered a couple big numbers, but they've also been blown out."Indeed, the Cardinals have covered five of their last six games and are 7-3 ATS overall. But in those three ATS losses, they failed to cover by a combined 41.5 points.C Jackson Cowart is a betting writer for theScore. Find line reports, best bets, and subscribe to push notifications in the Betting News section. The player prop market is a hot one for bettors. While standard spread and total bets account for an entire game, individual props focus on specific matchups. Here are five prop bets to consider for Week 11:DeAndre Hopkins under 6.5 receptionsI know from experience that fading Hopkins can require patience. His catch total has increased significantly from a low of five in Week 4 to a season-high 11 more recently in Week 8.The Texans are underdogs against the Ravens in a game featuring a high total, making Nuk an obvious splash play in prop or fantasy formats. However, Hopkins will match up against Marcus Peters, who's been the league's No. 1 cornerback the last four weeks, according to PFF. The star defensive back has been elite since joining Baltimore in Week 7, allowing just a 27.0 QBR when targeted.Derek Carr over 255.5 passing yardsIt's crazy how efficient the Raiders offense' has been this season. Oakland enters Week 11 ranked No. 4 in pass offense DVOA, ahead of New Orleans, Green Bay, Houston, and New England. The Raiders also field PFF's fourth-highest graded passing offense.Sunday provides another opportunity for Oakland to keep cruising. Carr should enjoy a clean pocket against a Bengals pass rush that's 30th in adjusted sack rate, and a Cincinnati secondary ranked last in yards allowed per completion.Ezekiel Elliott over 114.5 rushing + receiving yardsElliott posted a horrendous stat line last Sunday against the Vikings, netting just 47 total yards on 20 carries and a pair of catches. His longest run of the game went for six yards, and his 2.4 yards per carry was the Pro Bowler's second-lowest average this season.A Week 11 matchup against the Lions offers the perfect get-right game, with Elliott facing a defense that's struggling to contain starting running backs. Detroit has allowed a whopping 120.4 rushing yards per game over the team's last five contests, and the Lions' defense has also surrendered four-plus receptions to opposing running backs in all but two games in 2019.All signs point to a bounce-back outing for Elliott.Chris Godwin over 79.5 receiving yardsGodwin went on a three-game tear from Weeks 4 to 6, averaging just shy of 150 receiving yards per contest with four touchdowns. However, he's been held to fewer than 75 yards over the Buccaneers' last three games and hasn't scored. The likely game script against the Saints should provide more opportunities for Godwin in Week 11. The Bucs are 5.5-point underdogs with a total of 50, potentially putting Tampa in more passing situations. The matchup Godwin will face is also appealing, as New Orleans will be without top cornerback Marshon Lattimore, and the team's defense is struggling to cover slot receivers, which is where the Penn State product takes more than half his snaps.John Brown over 3.5 receptionsUm, 3.5 receptions? For John Brown? The same John Brown who has recorded four-plus catches in every game this season? The over in this spot is a Class 4 felony. The Bills don't possess much of a passing offense, but anything they can muster is still centered around the veteran receiver. Brown is being targeted on over 23% of Buffalo's throws, and he should pass this number easily against a Dolphins secondary ranked 30th in pass defense DVOA.Alex Kolodziej is a betting writer for theScore. Colin Kaepernick will draw a far larger crowd than the initially revealed 11 teams that committed to attending his workout.More than 24 organizations are expected to be represented at Kaepernick's showcase Saturday at the Atlanta Falcons' training complex, sources told Adam Schefter of ESPN.The Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, New York Giants, New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Washington Redskins were the original 11 teams announced by the league. One club that can be ruled out is the Dallas Cowboys, as owner Jerry Jones said Friday that his team is happy with its quarterback situation."We're not gonna have anybody there. We'll look at the tape if we need any information there. We really like our quarterbacks," Jones said, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic. The league has not provided Kaepernick with the identity of the receivers who'll be catching passes, so the quarterback has arranged to bring his own wideouts to the workout, a source told Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio. All 32 franchises have been invited to send representatives to see Kaepernick, who has been out of the league since 2017 after he began protesting social injustices by kneeling during the national anthem.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. Former Browns offensive coordinator Todd Haley blames Thursday night's melee on Freddie Kitchens, saying the rookie head coach is allowing a culture of indiscipline to form in Cleveland."This to me, this comes back to coaching," Haley told SiriusXM NFL Radio on Friday. "This falls squarely right on the head coach. Because the head coach talks to every assistant coach, who then talk to their groups of players. And there's an old saying in coaching: 'You're either coaching it or you're allowing it to happen.'"Star pass-rusher Myles Garrett received an indefinite suspension and will miss at least the rest of the 2019 season for swinging Mason Rudolph's helmet at the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback during the final seconds of the game. Fellow defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi was also given a one-game ban for shoving Rudolph to the ground. The incident was the latest, and biggest, example of Cleveland lacking composure and focus during a disappointing campaign.Haley added that the AFC North club has been held back for years because of poor self-control, pointing to Garrett's frequent personal fouls and Odell Beckham Jr.'s uniform issues this season."If you're not coaching it, you're allowing it to happen. And when I watch the Cleveland Browns, I see a lot of stuff being allowed to happen, whether it's clown shoes, visors, whatever it may be," Haley said. "Myles Garrett hitting the quarterback low, hitting the quarterback in the head, it's happening too much. It's not just a fluke."The Browns fired Haley in October 2018, opening the door for Kitchens to take over the role and eventually ascend to become the team's head coach.Asked about the accusations from Haley, Kitchens refused to counter his former co-worker's comments."I don't really give much thought into what Todd says," Kitchens said. "I'm not even gonna respond to it. I know the way we continue to talk about maintaining our composure, and we have to do a better job of maintaining our composure - everybody."Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. Cleveland Browns safety Morgan Burnett will miss the remainder of the season due to a torn Achilles, according to Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal.Burnett suffered the injury during the team's 21-7 win against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday.Browns defensive end Myles Garrett received a season-long suspension for his actions during a fight in Thursday night's game, and the team also won't have suspended defensive end Larry Ogunjobi for its next contest.Burnett, who signed a three-year, $14.35-million contract with the Browns during the offseason, posted 41 combined tackles, one interception, and two sacks through eight starts in 2019.Cleveland has averaged 216.8 passing yards allowed per game this year, which is the sixth-best mark in the NFL. Warning: Story contains coarse languageOakland Raiders linebacker Vontaze Burfict blasted commissioner Roger Goodell in his first public comments about his season-long suspension, letting it be known that he wasn't impressed with Goodell after meeting with him during his appeal process in October."I met Roger Goodell in New York and he was a total b----," Burfict said, according to The Athletic's Vic Tafur. "He was a b----. He didn't let anybody speak, he rushed us in and out of the meeting. The meeting was bullshit. He already had the suspension in his hand."Burfict was suspended for the rest of the season after a helmet-to-helmet hit against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4.The 29-year-old linebacker isn't the only notable name banned for the rest of the year, though, as Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett received a season-long suspension Friday for pulling off Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph's helmet and hitting him in the head with it.However, Burfict is rejecting any comparisons between himself and Garrett. He even said he turned off the television while watching Thursday night's game with his daughters after Garrett hit Rudolph."I don't want them to see that," Burfict said. "Because that's not what I do. That's not part of football. I hit people on the field during the game. And they say that's dirty, yeah, whatever. I get hit, too, during the games, so don't complain. It's football, bro."Despite Burfict's suspension, he made it clear that it'll take a lot more than his current ban to keep him out of the league next season."Yeah, I'm coming back," he said. "The NFL can't kick me out like that. They are going to have to kill me. I am too strong for that. ..."I didn't do shit wrong, I hit a tight end. It could have been a fine, whoop-de-doo. But there's people out there assaulting people with helmets. That's an assault with a deadly weapon."Garrett's suspension of at least six games is the second-longest ban for on-field behavior in NFL history, behind only Burfict’s 12-game suspension, according to ESPN's Field Yates.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. Find line reports, best bets, and subscribe to push notifications in the Betting News section. Two weeks ago, the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars played in London in a mostly unremarkable win for the Texans. Last week, both teams had their byes after traveling across the pond. This week, they could be doomed to blowouts. If they are, it'll follow a wild trend for teams coming back from London this season as part of the NFL's annual international series. The six teams that have traveled across the pond this year are a combined 0-6 straight up and against the spread after returning stateside, losing by an average of 18.7 points.Last week, the Cincinnati Bengals were humiliated by the Baltimore Ravens, while the Los Angeles Rams' offense fell apart in an ugly loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Maybe it's a fluke, or maybe it's a harbinger for the Texans (+4.5) in Baltimore and the Jaguars (+2.5) in Indianapolis. The cards haven't always been stacked against teams returning from London; in fact, it's been quite the opposite, especially as of late:SEASONATSSU20190-60-620183-2-13-320175-35-320164-1-14-220156-05-120143-33-320132-22-220121-11-0-120111-11-120101-12-020091-12-020080-21-120070-1-10-2Since the NFL started sending teams to London in 2007, those squads are a combined 27-24-3 ATS in their first game back stateside. They were riding an 18-6-2 streak since 2015 before an 0-6 start to this year. It's not just a byproduct of extra rest, either. Before this season, teams coming off a regular-season bye week were a dead-even 51-51-2 ATS since 2015, when excluding the post-London teams. For those clubs coming back from across the pond? They were a sizzling 16-4-2 coming off their bye. Then came this year: Not including post-London teams, clubs coming off a bye week are 7-5 ATS. However, teams who last played in Europe are 0-6 ATS.Jay Rood, Bet.Works' chief risk officer and theScore Bet's head trader, says bye weeks play an insignificant role when pricing the lines each week. That includes post-London byes, which he doesn't pay any special attention to as an oddsmaker."We have to know the audience that we're booking to," Rood said. "If we think it's something that's going to be an influencer to how the wagering activity goes, we might do a tweak to it. Traditionally, I haven't been a fan of that ..."It's always best to put out the numbers where you think they should be, and you just let the wagering activity follow."Even if books did want to chase a profitable trend, it's a dangerous game guessing what the public might do. If oddsmakers shade a line trying to beat a trend, sharps will likely see value in a skewed number. And if ever-fickle public bettors ignore the trend, the books are left with a major liability.Rood says he'd only consider trying to beat a trend if the media attention on it was enough to shift bettors' perspectives. Even then, it'd likely take half a season or more for it to matter."I think the bookmaking community is pretty slow to adjust to that kind of stuff," Rood said. "We know we're going to get bet a certain way by the sharp community, and we have to feel pretty confident that we're going to get money late in the week by the public."Books don't care if a trend is winning unless bettors are catching on. In this case, they haven't. So far, in the six games featuring teams who last played in London, the spread has moved in favor of five of them ahead of kickoff, with lowly Cincinnati as the only exception. The over has been streaking, too, with a 37-25-2 record for post-London teams and a 9-3 record since the start of 2018. For home teams coming off a post-London bye, the over is a stellar 16-6-1 with six straight wins.Books likely won't react in the totals market, nor will they tweak the lines for the Texans or Jaguars this weekend in reaction to their overseas trip. Maybe it's all a fluke, after all, or maybe there's some value for bettors to find in a London curse.C Jackson Cowart is a betting writer for theScore. Naturally, I am betting an under this week. I sincerely loathe everything about this.I’m pretty much done hyping up the Dolphins as some underrated unit with upside; you can only scream “but Ryan Fitzpatrick’s yards per attempt is high!†or “this is the year DeVante Parker goes off!†from the rooftops so many times. Last week, the Dolphins won a game in which they posted 3.7 yards per play. How is that even possible?Three weeks ago, these two teams faced each other and went over the total comfortably. Miami’s offense converted more than 50% of its third downs, an anomaly for a unit that ranks No. 24 in that department this season. I don’t think this offense can replicate that success against the same opponent in a three-week span.Meanwhile, Buffalo’s offense isn’t tailored to beat up on the Dolphins. Miami’s secondary is banged up and prone to allowing big plays, but the Bills don’t have a passing game. After both teams combined for 52 points in Week 8, I’m expecting a different result on Sunday.Pick: Under 41 ($30)C Jackson Cowart ($951)Season record: 9-9-2, -$49New England Patriots (-3.5) at Philadelphia EaglesTotal: 44.5Just two weeks ago, we were celebrating the Patriots' defense as among the all-time greats and counting the wins to an undefeated season. Then the Ravens ran the ball down their throats and suddenly New England is a short favorite with a week to prepare for a flawed Eagles team. Wait, what? The Patriots are still 6-3 ATS on the year, and they're in a prime spot for a big win. Bill Belichick is 12-3 ATS in his last 15 games off a bye week, and he's 49-27-2 ATS (64.5%) off a loss since taking over in New England. The under is also a remarkable 9-0-1 after the Patriots' last 10 losses, suggesting Belichick leans on his strengths to right the ship.New England's receiving corps is too thin to truly attack Philly's vulnerable pass defense, but its elite secondary should limit Carson Wentz and force the Eagles to follow a Ravens-esque game plan. Philadelphia simply doesn't have the horses to win that way, so expect another low-scoring Pats win.Pick: Patriots -3.5 ($40), under 44.5 ($30)New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay BuccaneersTotal: 49.5The Saints' offense rarely lays two eggs in a row under Sean Payton, going 15-6 to the over after scoring fewer than 14 points in the previous game. Michael Thomas should have a field day against Tampa Bay's suspect secondary, while two of the best receivers in the NFL take the field for the Bucs, who have seen seven straight overs. Expect another one on Sunday.Pick: Over 49.5 ($40)Denver Broncos at Minnesota VikingsTotal: 39.5Low totals have been something of a cheat code this year, with the under going 14-4 when the number is 41 or below, and 10-2 at 40 or lower. Two great defenses collide in Minnesota, with one side sporting a mediocre backup quarterback and the other relying on a potent run game. Mike Zimmer is an under king as a home favorite, adding to the appeal of this low-total spot.Pick: Under 39.5 ($40)Thomas Casale ($828)Season record: 6-7-2, -$162New England Patriots (-3.5) at Philadelphia Eagles Jackson already pointed out many of the reasons I like the Patriots this week. I'll just add that Tom Brady is 28-3 ATS as a favorite of seven points or fewer when coming off a loss. Is that good? The Ravens showed the blueprint to attack the Pats' defense, but the Eagles simply don't have the running game to replicate it. Philly's average receivers won't be able to beat New England's aggressive man defense, especially with Alshon Jeffery's status in doubt for Sunday. This is a huge public play but I see the Patriots winning the game by 10+, so I'll take them as a short road favorite over a still overvalued Eagles team.Pick: Patriots -3.5 ($50)Alex Moretto ($632)Season record: 8-12-1, -$368Dallas Cowboys (-6) at Detroit LionsI locked this in early in the week at -3 with the expectation that Matthew Stafford wouldn't play, and it was announced on Friday that he's out for the game. As a result, the line moved to -6, but I'd play it up to a touchdown. Stafford masks a lot of the Lions' issues, specifically their inability to run the ball or play defense. What keeps Detroit in games is Stafford's ability to sling the ball around for chunk plays and light up the scoreboard. All due respect to Jeff Driskel, but this is far from a competitive game without Stafford. The Cowboys' offense should stay red-hot against the Lions' 30th-ranked defense. Also, this might be the rare occasion where Jason Garrett isn't outcoached, with Matt Patricia on the opposite sideline.Pick: Cowboys -6 ($80)New York Jets at Washington Redskins (-1.5)Did we all just forget how dysfunctional this Jets team is because of one win over the Giants? The Redskins aren't exactly a model organization either, but they match up well with the Jets, as they can get pressure on Sam Darnold and make him see ghosts. Dwayne Haskins was brutal in two appearances off the bench, but I was impressed by his first career start, on the road against a terrific Bills defense. This game will be much more negotiable for him, having had two weeks to get ready for a poor Jets secondary with the Redskins coming out of their bye.Pick: Redskins -1.5 ($50)Chicago Bears at Los Angeles Rams (-6.5)The Bears went three-and-out on 58.3% of their possessions against the Lions and managed just 226 yards of offense. Both of those totals were the worst in the NFL in Week 10 and came against the league's 30th-ranked defense. That's putrid. Nothing about this Bears' offense is remotely close to functional right now.Now they take to the road for a game against a Rams defense hitting its stride, ranked fourth in DVOA. Los Angeles' defense leads the NFL in quarterback hurries. Mitch Trubisky is 43rd among all quarterbacks this season with a 46.4 rating and a 42% completion rate under pressure. Jared Goff hasn't been lighting it up either, but I trust him to make plays at home much more than I do Trubisky on the road, especially with Todd Gurley capable of a big game against a Bears defense that's been gashed by the run of late.Pick: Rams -6.5 ($50)Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett has been suspended indefinitely for his actions in Thursday's night melee with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the NFL announced on Friday.Garrett will miss at least the rest of the season, including any potential playoff games, for swinging Mason Rudolph's helmet at the quarterback in the final seconds of the game. The 2017 No. 1 pick will be required to meet with commissioner Roger Goodell "prior to a decision on his reinstatement.""Last night, I made a terrible mistake. I lost my cool and what I did was selfish and unacceptable," said Garrett in a statement. "I know that we are all responsible for our actions and I can only prove my true character through my actions moving forward."I want to apologize to Mason Rudolph, my teammates, our entire organization, our fans and to the NFL. I know I have to be accountable for what happened, learn from my mistake and I fully intend to do so."Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey received a three-game ban for kicking and punching a downed Garrett, while Browns defensive end Larry Ogunjobi was given a one-game suspension for shoving Rudolph to the ground.Additionally, the Steelers and Browns have each been fined $250,000.Garrett is expected to appeal his suspension, a league source told Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal.

The NFL spent around eight hours interviewing Antonio Brown in Florida on Thursday, and the league could require follow-up discussions before deciding the free-agent wide receiver's future, a source told ESPN's Josina Anderson.Brown reportedly felt the meeting went well, with Anderson's source saying he was "responsive" to the league's questions. The NFL is investigating multiple accusations of sexual assault against the 31-year-old.Brown is reportedly expected to miss the rest of the season while the league concludes its inquiry. Myles Garrett took responsibility for his actions Thursday after he hit Mason Rudolph over the head with the quarterback's own helmet during a massive brawl between the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers."I made a mistake and I lost my cool and I regret it," Garrett said, according to Ben Axelrod of WKYC. "It's going to come back to hurt our team, the guys who jumped in the scrum. I appreciate my team having my back, but it shouldn't have ever gotten to that point. That's on me."Garrett added that his actions were "foolish" and "out of character," according to Nate Davis of USA Today.Garrett was one of three players ejected after the fracas, which took place in the final seconds of Thursday Night Football. Cleveland won the game 21-7.The 23-year-old pass-rusher refused to divulge what set him off, even when reporters asked him if Rudolph had said anything malicious to him right before."You just gotta go look at it," he said, according to Axelrod. "I'm not going to comment on it."Garrett acknowledged he isn't sure what to expect in the way of discipline from the NFL. The former first overall pick figures to face one of the longest suspensions for on-field behavior in recent memory."I've never been in this situation," he said. "I've never really seen any suspension. I've never really looked into it. I don't know what they're going to do."Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford will miss Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys due to a back injury that also forced him to sit out Week 10, head coach Matt Patricia announced on Friday, according to Tim Twentyman of the team's official site.Jeff Driskel will again start in Stafford's place. The backup went 27-of-46 passing for 269 yards in last week's 20-13 defeat to the Chicago Bears.Driskel also threw one touchdown and an interception in the loss that dropped Detroit to 3-5-1 and to the bottom of the NFC North.Stafford is reportedly dealing with fractured bones in his back, an injury that occurred last season. The Lions' injury report also lists a hip issue for the pivot after he wasn't able to practice this week. The NFL is reportedly looking into how the Lions handled the reporting of Stafford's back injury prior to the signal-caller sitting out against the Bears.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. Mason Rudolph's agent said he isn't ruling out any legal options in the wake of the late-game fight between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night."I am gathering all information and no options have been removed from the table," Tim Younger said via text message Friday morning, according to Brooke Pryor of ESPN.Browns star defensive end Myles Garrett struck Rudolph with the quarterback's own helmet in the final moments of Cleveland's 21-7 win over its divisional rival. The altercation was sparked when Garrett took Rudolph down following a pass. The quarterback appeared to pull at Garrett's helmet as the two exchanged words before getting to their feet.As Rudolph attempted to stand up, Garrett pulled off the QB's helmet and swung it at him. Several Steelers offensive linemen then jumped in to defend Rudolph, with center Maurkice Pouncey aiming a kick at a downed Garrett's head. The quarterback's agent tweeted his intent to review the incident following the contest.

Philadelphia Eagles running back Darren Sproles will miss the remainder of this season after suffering a torn right hip flexor muscle, the team announced Friday.Sproles originally suffered a partial tear of the muscle against the New York Jets on Oct. 6. The 15-year veteran missed three games before returning against the Chicago Bears on Nov. 3.However, Sproles reported an injury following Wednesday's practice, and tests revealed the torn muscle. The three-time Pro Bowler has flirted with retirement in recent years. He previously said that 2018 would be his final season but played in just six games for Philadelphia due to a hamstring injury.Sproles then signed a one-year deal with the Eagles in July, saying he wanted to "go out on top."With 19,696 all-purpose yards, the 36-year-old ranks fifth in NFL history behind Jerry Rice, Brian Mitchell, Walter Payton, and Emmitt Smith.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph slammed Cleveland Browns pass-rusher Myles Garrett following Thursday night's brawl after Garrett ripped off Rudolph's helmet and swung it at him."I thought it was pretty cowardly, pretty bush league," Rudolph told reporters postgame, according to ESPN's Brooke Pryor."Where did it cross the line? Maybe where he took my helmet off and used it as a weapon," he added. The incident began during the final seconds of Pittsburgh's loss, when Garrett took Rudolph down following a passing attempt. Teammates immediately came to the quarterback's defense, resulting in Maurkice Pouncey kicking Garrett in the head.Rudolph insisted he wasn't injured and felt fine after being hit in the head. The AFC North rivals play each other again in two weeks.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. Quarterback Baker Mayfield expressed his disappointment in teammate Myles Garrett for his role in a wild brawl at the end of Thursday's game between the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers."It's inexcusable," Mayfield said, according to ESPN's Jeff Darlington. "Rivalry or not, we can't do that. That's endangering the other team. That's inexcusable. The reality is, he's going to get suspended. It's inexcusable."Garrett tore off Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph's helmet and struck him in the head with it as the fight unfolded, leading to the lineman's ejection."I don't think there's anything in that moment that I can really say to calm him down," Mayfield said, according to Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. "The reality is he's going to get suspended, we don't know how long, and that hurts our team. We can't do that. We can't continue to hurt this team."Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. echoed his quarterback and believes there isn't a place in the game for that level of violence."As I'm seeing it now, it's really bad," Beckham said, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. The reigning MVP is back.Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes returned to game action Sunday after missing two contests with a knee injury, and though his team suffered a 35-32 road loss against the Tennessee Titans, Mahomes played one of his best games of the season. He said Thursday he feels fully recovered from the injuries that have plagued him since the first week of the campaign."I would probably say (this is the best I've felt since) going into the Jacksonville game," he told the reporters, according to Chiefs Wire's Charles Goldman. "Just being able to not have to worry about the ankle or not worry about the knee and just being able to go out there and play football the way that I've played it my whole career so far."Mahomes completed 36 of 50 passes for 446 yards and three touchdowns in his Week 10 return. The 24-year-old initially appeared on the Chiefs' injury report with an ankle issue prior to Week 2, but he didn't miss any games until dislocating his right kneecap in Week 7."Just going out there and being able to play the game, do the things I've grown (accustomed) to doing, scrambling and doing all that different type of stuff and coming out healthy was definitely a positive sign," the signal-caller said, according to Adam Teicher of ESPN.The 6-4 Chiefs sit atop the AFC West and will travel to Mexico City to face the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. Find line reports, best bets, and subscribe to push notifications in the Betting News section. With seven weeks left in the season, oddsmakers say the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award is Josh Jacobs' to lose. The Oakland Raiders running back is -135 to claim the honor after he scored the game-winning touchdown to lift the Raiders to a win over the Chargers in Week 10. He's on pace for 1,441 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns over 16 games, which would both rank inside the top-20 all time for a rookie running back.Oakland's success is a key factor: Jacobs is the only top-five rookie whose team boasts a winning record, and he's played a major role. The Raiders are 4-0 this year when Jacobs reaches the end zone and 1-4 when he doesn't.Don't discount Kyler Murray, the opening ROY favorite, too early. The Cardinals quarterback is on pace for 4,084 passing yards, which would rank second all time behind Andrew Luck (4,374) for most by a rookie QB.Add in Murray's rushing - 351 yards on the ground, nearly half of Jacobs' output - and his projected 4,646 total yards on offense would shatter Cam Newton's rookie record of 4,497.Could any long shot make a surprising run here? Odell Beckham Jr. turned it on late to become the only receiver this decade to win the award. Marquise Brown, DK Metcalf, and Terry McLaurin all have that ability, but their modest first halves relative to their sub-40-1 odds leave much to be desired. Here are the full odds for Offensive Rookie of the Year, with a brief breakdown of the top five candidates:PLAYERODDSJosh Jacobs27-20 (-135)Kyler Murray17-10 (+170)Daniel Jones18-1David Montgomery18-1Gardner Minshew22-1Marquise Brown26-1DK Metcalf28-1Miles Sanders33-1Terry McLaurin33-1Josh Jacobs, RB, RaidersWe've already put forth the case for Jacobs, and it's a strong one - he's putting up gaudy numbers, his team is winning, and he's the focal point of the offense. Here's the issue: the last two winners - Saquon Barkley and Alvin Kamara - were probably more deserving.Barkley's team couldn't match the wins, and Kamara couldn't quite match the production, but it's hard to say either put together a worse case than Jacobs will by season's end. Barkley managed near-record stats, while Kamara was a driving force behind the Saints' 11-5 season. If Jacobs is held to the standards of recent winners, voters may shy away from rewarding him and instead turn to a record-setting QB.Kyler Murray, QB, CardinalsMurray's team hasn't reached the heights of Jacobs' or of the recent teams to produce award winners at the quarterback position. But a manageable three-game stretch post-bye against likely non-playoff teams could see Murray's squad threaten for a .500 record.Murray will have the stats and the highlight-reel plays to make a case by year's end. At plus-money, he's still a worthwhile bet in a race that almost feels too close to call.Daniel Jones, QB, GiantsThe only way Jones takes home this award is if voters ignore his horrific fumbling habits, which has led to the quarterback coughing up the football a league-leading 13 times through just nine games. If he keeps up this pace - he's fumbled at least twice in each of his last four games - he'll be flirting with the NFL record of 23.Add in eight interceptions thus far, and it's hard to see him taking home the award for a hapless Giants squad. Upcoming games against the Bears and Packers won't help his cause.David Montgomery, RB, BearsBetting on Montgomery is essentially betting on Jacobs to collapse and the Bears' third-round pick to see a heavy workload. It could happen: Montgomery turned a season-high 27 carries in Week 8 into 135 yards and a score, and he's seen 17 touches in each of the last two games.Given how bad Chicago's quarterback situation has been, Montgomery could be in for a massive workload to close the year. Still, he's averaged a meager 3.6 yards per carry and would need to show major improvement to threaten in this race.Gardner Minshew, QB, JaguarsWell, that was fun while it lasted. Minshew looked like a legitimate ROY candidate during his hot start to the year, and he still might have been one had the Jaguars not announced Nick Foles as the returning starter for Week 11.Minshew struggled through his last four starts and may have continued the downward trend had Foles not returned. Maybe Minshew Mania could have one last run if Foles stumbles in his return, but that's only worth betting at 40-1 odds or longer.C Jackson Cowart is a betting writer for theScore. The New Orleans Saints suffered one of their worst losses of the Drew Brees era against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, and the star quarterback was not happy about it.Brees described the 26-9 defeat to the division rivals as "unacceptable," according to The Times-Picayune's Rod Walker. The future Hall of Fame signal-caller is looking for a bounce-back effort after the Saints saw their six-game winning streak snapped by the now 2-7 Falcons."I think we know we're a lot better than that," Brees said. "This is a time when we really want to start separating ourselves from the pack in a positive way and continuing to position ourselves to achieve the goals that we have set for this team."Brees failed to throw a touchdown at home for the first time since joining New Orleans. He was sacked six times and saw his running game stumble to a season-low 52 yards."Unfortunately, our execution just was not up to standard across the board. That needs to get cleaned up and it will get cleaned up and as a result, we'll play a lot better," the QB said. The 7-2 Saints still sit first in the NFC South and will travel to Tampa Bay for another divisional clash against the Buccaneers.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. While the Buffalo Bills are 6-3 this season, second-year quarterback Josh Allen and the offense have often struggled to score.Through nine starts, Allen has completed 59.9% of his throws for 10 passing touchdowns and seven interceptions. He completed just 54% of his passes over the last three contests, which saw Buffalo lose twice, including a 19-16 defeat to the Cleveland Browns in Week 10."I know I'm nowhere near where I need to be, nowhere near where I want to be," Allen said Wednesday, according to Matt Parrino of NewYorkUpstate.com. "Where I want to be is higher than where I need to be. The rebuilding Miami Dolphins and New York Jets are in for some bad news.According to Tom Brady's personal trainer, Alex Guerrero, the New England Patriots quarterback can see himself sticking around even longer than initially anticipated."It all comes to commitment, really. No one thought you could play at the elite level in your late 30s, early 40s. That is something we always felt we could do," Guerrero said Thursday on "The Greg Hill Show," according to WEEI's Ryan Hannable.Brady, a six-time Super Bowl champion and winner of 10 consecutive division titles, turned 42 years old ahead of this season and has shown little sign of slowing down."I certainly do believe that 45 is a very realistic goal," Guerrero said. "... We talk about it all the time. Every year he just adds another year. He goes in and he's like, 'Guys, I feel so good still. I think I am going to go till 45.' I am like, 'OK.' Now he's like, 'Alex, I think I can go like 46 or 47.'"It's a frightening prospect for the two AFC East clubs that are apparently building for a time when Brady isn't wreaking havoc on the division, and the rest of the league for that matter. They can find some hope in the chance that Brady won't be playing with the Patriots in his latter years. His contract voids after the 2019 season, potentially setting him up for free agency. Guerrero wouldn't shed any light on who Brady will suit up for next season."I don't know. It's not July 2020. I am focused on today. I am just trying to get Tom ready for practice today. It's Thursday," he said.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. A marquee matchup of two NFL MVP contenders, Deshaun Watson and Lamar Jackson, will highlight Week 11, and both pivots are looking forward to Sunday's game.Watson, the Houston Texans' star quarterback, said he's been keeping an eye on his Baltimore Ravens counterpart and, like much of the viewing public, has marveled at Jackson's accomplishments."I'm a proud quarterback, proud friend," Watson said Wednesday. "All the criticism he was getting when he was coming out (of college), he's definitely a guy that I've always encouraged and talked to in the offseason. I've always been - since college days when we played against each other - I've always been friends with him."That friendship will take a back seat when the 6-3 Texans meet the 7-2 Ravens in the midst of a playoff race. When the two QBs met at the college level, Jackson put up 457 total yards and three touchdowns for the No. 3-ranked Louisville Cardinals, but Watson countered with 397 yards and five touchdown passes in a 42-36 win for the No. 5-ranked Clemson Tigers. For his part, Jackson hasn't forgotten the 2016 battle."He was just dicing us down the field," Jackson said, according to Ravens writer Ryan Mink. "He was just doing Deshaun Watson things - scoring touchdowns, making incredible throws, and they came out with the victory."I can't wait to see him again."Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. After initially stating it would do so, the NFL has decided not to provide Colin Kaepernick with a list of personnel executives and coaches attending his workout in Atlanta on Saturday, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. The NFL scheduled a workout and interview for Kaepernick, sending invitations to all 32 teams. Most clubs - if not all - are expected to at least send scouts, but top decision-makers are less certain to attend.Kaepernick's camp says it has proof the league promised to send him a list of attendees beforehand, a source told Schefter. But another source said the NFL never made that promise.Several team executives have already told Kaepernick's representatives they won't be able to attend the workout and are confused as to why the NFL scheduled it, according to Schefter.Carolina Panthers safety Eric Reid questioned the league's intentions Wednesday, saying the workout "feels like a PR stunt."Kaepernick has been out of the league since 2017 after he began protesting social injustice by kneeling during the national anthem. He tweeted Monday he's in shape and eager to see head coaches and general managers at the event. The 32-year-old threw for 2,241 yards with 16 touchdowns and four interceptions over 12 appearances for the San Francisco 49ers in 2016.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. George Kittle hasn't been ruled out for Week 11, but San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan has to plan as though he will not be available, a team spokesperson clarified Wednesday, according to NBC Sports Bay Area's Matt Maiocco.Shanahan had inadvertently said the star tight end would miss his second straight game while talking to reporters.Additionally, Shanahan said the 49ers expect to be without Joe Staley for multiple weeks after the left tackle underwent finger surgery, according to Maiocco.Kittle, who's battling knee and ankle injuries, sat out Week 10 as the 49ers fell to the Seattle Seahawks in overtime on Monday Night Football for their first loss this season. The 26-year-old has 46 catches for 541 yards and two touchdowns in eight outings this year.Staley, 35, missed six contests earlier this season after breaking his fibula in September.Rookie Justin Skule is "most likely" to start at left tackle while Staley is sidelined, Shanahan said. Former first-round pick Mike McGlinchey will likely remain at right tackle. The 49ers face the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. The NFL and NFL Players Association are on track to finalize a new collective bargaining agreement that includes a 17-game regular season by early 2020, reports Mark Maske of The Washington Post. The two sides have made meaningful progress toward a new labor agreement, which would prevent a work stoppage in 2021, according to sources familiar with the negotiations. The current CBA runs through the 2020 season. The NFLPA has publicly resisted a longer schedule, citing safety concerns for players. But owners are reportedly prepared to make their fair share of concessions.A 17-game regular season might include one neutral-site game for every team each year, potentially fueling the league's international series. The lengthier slate would also reportedly result in a shorter preseason and could pave the way for an expansion of the playoff field from 12 teams to 14 teams.Changes to the playoff format would apparently see only one team receive an opening-round bye, rather than two. One of the games on Wild Card Weekend could be a Monday night contest.Playoff expansion does not require union approval. The most significant discussion in negotiations continues to revolve around revenue splitting. Under the current CBA, players have received between 47% and 48.5% of revenue each year. The NFL generates an estimated $15 billion in annual revenue.A new CBA could reportedly be in place by early January or by the Super Bowl in early February and may feature several other changes including:

Find line reports, best bets, and subscribe to push notifications in the Betting News section. The wait for Colin Kaepernick could soon be over.On Saturday, Kaepernick will participate in a private workout for any NFL teams that want to attend. The 32-year-old quarterback hasn't played in the league since 2016 with the San Francisco 49ers.Signing Kaepernick - who created political controversy by kneeling during the U.S. national anthem in 2016 to protest police brutality and social injustice - is a bit different than inking most free agents. But that reportedly hasn't stopped clubs from showing interest in the former starting quarterback. Will any team end his NFL hiatus this year? Here are the odds for Kaepernick's next NFL team, with a few interesting options to highlight (odds only if signed by the end of the 2019 season):TEAMODDSCincinnati Bengals7-2Pittsburgh Steelers4-1Baltimore Ravens6-1Oakland Raiders7-1Carolina Panthers8-1Houston Texans10-1Chicago Bears12-1Tampa Bay Buccaneers12-1Arizona Cardinals15-1San Francisco 49ers16-1Indianapolis Colts20-1Los Angeles Rams20-1Cleveland Browns25-1Philadelphia Eagles33-1New England Patriots50-1Dallas Cowboys50-1Baltimore Ravens (6-1)Baltimore would be an intriguing fit for so many reasons. Kaepernick found much of his NFL success under the tutelage of offensive coordinator Greg Roman, who has since turned Lamar Jackson into the most productive running quarterback since ... well, Kaepernick. If he's game-ready, Kaepernick is arguably the best option to back up Jackson, especially in the pistol offense, which Kaepernick maximized beginning with his time under scheme engineer Chris Ault at Nevada. If the free agent is willing to take a backup gig, there may be no better landing spot.Carolina Panthers (8-1)The Panthers have already cleared the bar of political hesitation by signing and supporting former 49ers safety Eric Reid, who kneeled alongside Kaepernick during the 2016 season and has continued to do so in Carolina. Reid and Kaepernick are close friends and split the settlement from the NFL's collusion lawsuit earlier this year, even though Kaepernick's name stole the headlines. The Panthers also have a potential quarterback problem, with Cam Newton done for the year and Kyle Allen regressing after his hot start. Carolina's coaching staff turned a run-heavy quarterback into an NFL MVP in 2015, so Kaepernick's skill set could find a comfortable home in Charlotte.Chicago Bears (12-1)The Bears don't have the on-field scheme or the off-field familiarity that the two aforementioned teams can offer, but they need a quarterback. Like, really bad. Chicago has wasted a stout defense and a versatile running-back committee due to horrific play from QBs Mitchell Trubisky and Chase Daniel.Coach Matt Nagy was coy about whether his team would send a representative to Kaepernick's workout, but he did call the quarterback a "weapon." Could the Bears employ that weapon to try and save their season?San Francisco 49ers (16-1)The 49ers are certainly familiar with Kaepernick, who led the team to its most recent playoff berth in 2013-14 and its only Super Bowl appearance this century. Niners CEO Jed York previously supported Kaepernick's kneeling and said his organization didn't tell other teams to avoid signing the quarterback. That doesn't mean the 49ers will rush to sign Kaepernick to back up Jimmy Garoppolo amid an 8-1 run. Still, the QB would likely be welcomed with open arms by fans from San Francisco if the Niners decide on a reunion.Dallas Cowboys (50-1)This may seem like an odd fit. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones once suggested that any player who "disrespects" the flag wouldn't play, and he dismissed the idea of signing Kaepernick in 2017. Yet Dallas has shown interest in Kaepernick's workout and will send at least one representative to watch, a source told ESPN's Josina Anderson. At 50-1, there are certainly worse long-shot bets than this one, especially considering the tenuous contract negotiations between the Cowboys and quarterback Dak Prescott, whose deal will expire after this season. Even if he's only a leverage play, Kaepernick could find a new home with an unlikely suitor.C Jackson Cowart is a betting writer for theScore.
