Here's a look at the well-designed and well-executed plays in Week 13.Co-Passing Designs of the Week: Non-QBs tossin' TDs!One of the week's most thrilling contests was the New York Giants' 30-27 upset victory over the Chicago Bears in overtime. And since both teams had a non-quarterback throw a touchdown pass, we're making them our "Co-Passing Designs of the Week."In the first play below, Odell Beckham Jr. gets the Giants into the end zone by finding Russell Shepard wide open with a deep throw. The Giants initially show a toss play to the left, as Eli Manning fakes it to running back Saquon Barkley. But Manning instead gives the ball to Beckham, who's coming across the backfield from his starting point on the left side of the formation. Beckham appears to be running an end-around, but then suddenly pulls up and uncorks a long throw to Shepard on a deep route. With no defenders in position to make a play, it's an easy touchdown. The Bears also had a trick up their sleeve after recovering a late onside kick down by seven points. On the Giants' 1-yard line with just three seconds remaining, they turn to a page from the back of their playbook:NFL/FOXThe snap goes to quarterback Chase Daniel in the shotgun, and he immediately hands the ball to tight end Trey Burton, who was lined up in the backfield and starts running to the left. Burton then flips the football to running back Tarik Cohen, who'd begun the play aligned as a wide receiver on the left, but is now reversing into the backfield. After Cohen grabs the ball and nears the right edge on a potential running play, he suddenly tosses it to receiver Anthony Miller on a crossing route in the end zone:These plays spiced up a mostly frustrating offensive display by both teams - and whenever two non-QBs toss TD passes in the same game, it deserves a mention.Rushing Design of the Week: Broncos' perfect crack tossFor the second straight week, we're featuring the Denver Broncos' rushing attack and rookie running back Phillip Lindsay. In Sunday's 24-10 win over Cincinnati, Lindsay carried the football 19 times for 157 yards and a pair of touchdowns - the second of which went for 65 yards using a perfectly executed "crack toss" design.Midway through the third quarter, the Broncos have a 14-3 lead and the football on their own 35-yard line. They line up with quarterback Case Keenum under center and Lindsay as the single back behind him. The key players to watch on this snap are on the left side:NFL/CBSLeft tackle Garett Bolles (No. 72) pulls all the way outside thanks to "crackback" blocks from the two outside receivers - which are meant to push defenders inside. The inside receiver, Courtland Sutton, immediately cracks the defensive end, while Emmanuel Sanders moves upfield and veers slightly inside to block the slot defender. Meanwhile, left guard Billy Turner (No. 77) flows to the second level to take on a linebacker. Watch as these blocks come together perfectly, giving Lindsay a convoy to race upfield:From there, it's all Lindsay. He picks up the block downfield from Turner on Vontaze Burfict and cuts behind his left guard without losing speed. The cut also erases the angle that safety Jessie Bates (No. 30) is taking to the sideline, and Lindsay then outruns everyone to the end zone.Pressure Design of the Week: Flowers stunts on VikingsThe New England Patriots picked up yet another December home win by knocking off the Minnesota Vikings by two touchdowns. The Patriots' pass rush was a major factor throughout the game, especially edge defender Trey Flowers. At times, New England would employ Flowers as the sole defensive lineman on the field and align him across from the center, while other designs would put him on the edge. The third-and-5 play below is a hybrid of both themes, as Flower begins on the edge but finds his way to the inside for a sack. With Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins in the shotgun and three receivers to the right, the Patriots show pressure with seven defenders up front. Flowers is aligned on the outside shoulder of right tackle Brian O'Neill:NFL/FOXThe Patriots use the following stunt design - during which defensive players exchange roles to confuse blockers - to get Flowers (red line) inside.NFL/FOXWhen the ball is snapped, the two interior defenders to Flowers' right - Kyle Van Noy and Adam Butler (black lines) - immediately rush toward the passer, forcing center Pat Elflein to help out. That opens up a crease in the middle, and Flowers takes advantage by looping around Van Noy and Butler before getting through the line unblocked:The well-designed and well-executed play forces a three-and-out and gives the football back to the Patriots with a seven-point lead. They would score on the ensuing possession and cruise from there.Coverage Design of the Week: Fake blitz leads to Newton INTThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers' pass defense has struggled for much of this season, but the unit submitted back-to-back impressive performances in the last two weeks as the Bucs won both games. In Week 13, that performance included four interceptions of Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton - one of which saw defensive back Javien Elliott fool the veteran QB.Late in the first half, the Panthers face a second-and-10 on the Buccaneers' 25-yard line. The offense lines up with Newton in the shotgun and two receivers to the left. Elliot's aligned in the slot (red box):NFL/FOXBefore the snap, Elliott shows a blitz, which the Panthers point out. Newton likely expects Elliot to vacate the slot with his blitz, so he tries to hit outside receiver D.J. Moore on a quick slant (highlighted route):NFL/FOXHowever, Elliott doesn't blitz and instead drops directly into the throwing lane:The deke and interception end the scoring threat, while the Panthers would ultimately drop to 6-6 on the season to fall further back in the playoff race.Game Plan of the Week: New England PatriotsEntering Week 13, a major focus of concern in the Patriots' locker room was how to handle the dangerous Vikings receiver duo of Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs. However, the Patriots put together a very impressive game plan that truly limited the impact those players had on the contest.New England did so by employing a variety of coverage looks and schemes. The defense occasionally double-teamed Thielen, while other times it would leave the top receivers in single-coverage situations while relying on quick pressure. That heat forced Cousins to check the football down early and often, with only 11 of his 43 passing attempts going to Diggs or Thielen. In addition, the Patriots - stealing a page from what the Tennessee Titans did against their own offense a few weeks ago - sometimes used a "radar" defensive scheme, in which every player begins in a standing position and moves laterally at the snap (rather than attacking forward) by reading the offensive line. This scheme featured Flowers as the only down lineman, and it created more confusion up front. Overall, Bill Belichick and Brian Flores drew up a terrific game plan, and their players executed it to near-perfection.Mark Schofield writes NFL feature content for theScore. The Denver Broncos don't intend to place star cornerback Chris Harris on injured reserve as they believe he could recover from his fractured fibula in time for the playoffs, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.Harris' injury, which he suffered in Sunday's win over the Cincinnati Bengals, was described to Rapoport as more of a hairline fracture than a significant break. The 6-6 Broncos have won three straight games to leap back into the playoff race. New York Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is drawing criticism after he appeared to hesitate rather than dive on an onside kick late in Sunday's game.Chicago Bears tight end Daniel Brown recovered the kick with just over a minute remaining in regulation, allowing Chicago to tie the game and send it to overtime - before losing 30-27.Despite the Giants coming away with the victory, Beckham's effort on the onside kick is what's attracting attention."It was a great kick. Sometimes somebody makes a better play than you do," Beckham said after the game, according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN. "I could dive in there and still not get the ball. So it was a very tough call. Nobody should ever question my effort or my heart. That's the last thing you can do. You can question me as a person, as a man, whatever you want to do, but my heart and my effort can never be questioned, ever."

Detroit Lions offensive tackle Taylor Decker let his excitement get the better of him after scoring his first career touchdown against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. The 25-year-old third-year pro scored on an 11-yard reception from quarterback Matthew Stafford. Caught up in the moment, Decker tossed the ball into the stands in celebration."That's my first-ever touchdown," Decker said postgame, according to Michael Rothstein of ESPN. "Been playing football since first grade, always been an O-lineman. So for my first touchdown to come as a left tackle in the NFL is pretty d--- cool."And I think I threw a duck into the stands. So whatever fan has that ball, I'd like it back."Decker also took to social media following the Lions' 30-16 loss to request the return of his would-be trophy case staple, telling fans he'd be "more than happy to make it worth your while."

Minnesota Vikings receiver Adam Thielen got into a heated exchange with Bill Belichick when the New England Patriots head coach elected to challenge a crucial fourth-down call in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game. After Vikings running back Latavius Murray appeared to narrowly convert a fourth-and-1 run, Patriots safety Patrick Chung went down with an apparent injury. Thielen felt the timing of Chung's injury was "interesting," as it provided the Patriots with extra time to decide whether to challenge the officials' spotting of the ball."It was a close play that could have been reviewed," Thielen said, according to ESPN's Courtney Cronin. "So for me, I just lost my emotions."Live mics on the field caught the receiver yelling "that's bull crap" in the direction of Belichick, who then appeared to respond with "shut the f--- up" before an official moved Thielen away from the Patriots sideline, according to Cronin.

The Green Bay Packers fired head coach Mike McCarthy on Sunday, the team announced.Joe Philbin has been named interim head coach and will remain as the team's offensive coordinator."The 2018 season has not lived up to the expectations and standards of the Green Bay Packers. As a result, I made the difficult decision to relieve Mike McCarthy of his role as head coach, effective immediately," Packers president and CEO Mark Murphy said. "Mike has been a terrific head coach and leader of the Packers for 13 seasons, during which time we experienced a great deal of success on and off the field."We want to thank Mike, his wife, Jessica, and the rest of the McCarthy family for all that they have done for the Packers and the Green Bay and Wisconsin communities. Patrick Mahomes provided perhaps one of the strongest statements from a member of the Kansas City Chiefs on the actions that led to the team cutting Kareem Hunt.A video emerged on Friday of Hunt shoving and kicking a woman in a Cleveland hotel hallway in February and the Chiefs released him hours later."I saw the stuff that happened. We don't do those things," Mahomes said, according to ESPN's Adam Teicher.Mahomes' comment came after the Chiefs played their first game without their former star running back, defeating the Oakland Raiders 40-33.Some members of the Chiefs offered words of support for their former teammate, but head coach Andy Reid mostly steered clear of the subject."Those kinds of things are never easy," he said. "I don't want to get anything to distract from how tough a place this is to play (and) my locker room leadership overcoming the situation we had there which can be a distraction and (they) stepped up today in a place that we haven't always come out with this kind of result."Copyright © 2018 Score Media Ventures Inc. DETROIT (AP) Todd Gurley ran for 132 yards and two touchdowns to help the Los Angeles Rams overcome a sputtering start to beat the Detroit Lions 30-16 Sunday and clinch the NFC West title for a second straight season. The Rams (11-1) also moved a step closer to earning home-field advantage in the NFC playoffs, taking a one-game lead over New Orleans after it lost to Dallas on Thursday night. It is a cushion Los Angeles needs because its only loss was against the Saints last month. The Lions (4-8) have lost five of six since a surge of success gave them a winning record in late October.Detroit's defense held Los Angeles' high-powered offense in check for three quarters, giving the slumping team a shot to potentially pull off a stunning upset. The Lions, though, failed to make the most of the opportunity because their offense struggled to move the ball and score.Aaron Donald helped seal the win by forcing Matthew Stafford to fumble midway through the fourth quarter. The star defensive tackle had two strip-sacks in his last game on Nov. 19, a 54-51 win over Kansas City.Linebacker Samson Ebukam recovered Stafford's fumble at the Detroit 24 and Gurley scored on a 13-yard run three snaps later, giving the Rams a 23-13 lead.Jared Goff, perhaps rusty coming off a bye week, was off the mark on many passes and lost a fumble to help keep the game close. His lackluster performance led to Los Angeles settling for Greg Zuerlein kicking three field goals. Goff was 17 of 33 for 207 yards with a tie-breaking 8-yard touchdown pass to Robert Woods late in the second quarter. Goff also threw an interception on an overthrown pass in the second quarter and lost a fumble in the third period. The Rams were able to lean on Gurley, who has a single-season franchise record with 15 rushing touchdowns. The standout running back also caught three passes for 33 yards.Stafford was 20 of 33 yards for 245 yards with an 11-yard touchdown pass to tackle Taylor Decker, who faked the Rams out by blocking for a moment before releasing into the flat, where he was wide open. Decker's touchdown pulled Detroit within three points late in the third quarter. The Lions had a chance to cut the deficit to three again late in the game, but Kenny Golladay couldn't get both feet in the end zone on a pass from Stafford. They had settle for Matt Prater's third field goal.Gurley converted a third down on the ensuing drive and after breaking free, he chose not to score to run more time off the clock and force Detroit to take timeouts. It proved a good move because Gurley ran for a 2-yard score with 1:54 left. The Lions' final drive that ended with Troy Hill intercepting a pass in the end zone with 12 seconds left.INJURY REPORTRams: RB Malcom Brown left with a shoulder injury. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) Jalen Ramsey and the Jacksonville Jaguars delivered one of the most dominant defensive performances in franchise history, carrying the team to a 6-0 victory against Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. The Jaguars (4-8) needed that kind of effort to make up for a lackluster offense and end a seven-game losing streak. They also snapped Indy's five-game winning streak.Ramsey was the best of the bunch, helping hold T.Y. Hilton to six catches for 56 yards. Ramsey also made a game-ending tackle on Erik Swoope with 8 seconds remaining.Ramsey hit Swoope near the sideline at the end of a third-and-6 play at the Jacksonville 29, and the tight end seemed to land out of bounds. But an official ruled him in and kept the clock running. The Colts were out of timeouts and could only watch the clock wind down.Luck completed 33 of 52 passes for 248 yards and an interception. He was sacked three times after getting hit just five times in the entire month of November. He was sacked once in the previous five games. The Colts (6-6) entered with the fourth-most points in the league, having averaged more than 33 a game over their last eight. Luck had thrown three or more touchdown passes in eight consecutive games, one shy of the club record.Jacksonville shut them down and out.Indy passed up two field-goal tries in the first half, including taking one successful kick off the scoreboard, and had another solid chance in the fourth quarter.Facing fourth-and-1 at the Jacksonville 19 with 2:38 remaining, rookie safety Ronnie Harrison sacked Luck for a 10-yard loss. Harrison was making his first career start in place of benched veteran Barry Church. The odd decisions started in the first half.Adam Vinatieri made a 29-yard field goal in the second quarter, but Jaguars rookie defensive tackle Taven Bryan was flagged for roughing the snapper. That gave Indy a first-and-goal at the 5. Jordan Wilkins caught a short pass on fourth down, but was stopped short of the goal line. The Colts failed to convert another fourth-down play later in the quarter, and the Jaguars led 3-0 at the break. The teams combined for 476 yards of offense, but also had 13 punts, three turnovers and 139 yards in penalties.Cody Kessler, replacing the benched Blake Bortles, completed 18 of 24 passes for 150 yards for Jacksonville, winning for the first time in nine career starts.KEY INJURIESColts: Center Evan Boehm left in the fourth quarter with a neck injury, forcing third-team center Josh Andrews into the game. After uncovering some betting tips and offering our five best selections for Week 13, let's dig into the lines and totals for every game on Sunday's slate.Chicago Bears at New York GiantsOpening odds: CHI -3.5 / 45.5Current odds: CHI -4 / 44.5The Chicago Bears will once again turn to backup quarterback Chase Daniel, as Mitchell Trubisky will miss his second straight game due to injury. The New York Giants briefly stopped their bleeding with two consecutive wins before a close loss to the Philadelphia Eagles last weekend, but still covered as 4.5-point underdogs. However, the Giants are on a 2-13-1 run against the spread in the game after covering. The Bears had four times more wagers on them than the Giants did at MGM Grand as of Saturday night.Los Angeles Rams at Detroit LionsOpen: LAR -8.5 / 55Current: LAR -10 / 54The Los Angeles Rams are public favorites nearly every week, and this matchup is no different. They also get some extra rest coming off their bye week and face a Detroit Lions team that's 1-4 straight up and against the spread over its previous five games. L.A. climbed up to -10 early in the week while the total fluctuated between 54.5 and 55 before dropping to 54 on Sunday morning.Baltimore Ravens at Atlanta FalconsOpen: BAL -3 / 49Current: ATL -2.5 / 48.5The Baltimore Ravens-Atlanta Falcons game has seen a 5.5-point swing in line movement after the former initially opened up as the favorite. It'll be the third career start but the first on the road for Ravens rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson, who's riding a two-game winning streak. Meanwhile, Atlanta hasn't been able to figure out AFC teams under head coach Dan Quinn, failing to cover the spread in nine straight out-of-conference matchups. One bettor at MGM Race & Sports laid $330,000 on the Falcons at -2.5, according to ESPN's David Purdum.Arizona Cardinals at Green Bay PackersOpen: GB -14 / 46Current: GB -13.5 / 42.5Weather should play a role at Lambeau Field on Sunday when the Arizona Cardinals travel to take on the Green Bay Packers. The forecast is calling for winds of up to 20 miles per hour with a possibility of snow - perhaps the reason the total dropped all week. Green Bay hit -14.5 early on before sliding to -13.5 on Sunday morning.Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay BuccaneersOpen: CAR -3 / 56.5Current: CAR -3 / 53.5Sunday's game is huge for the 6-5 Carolina Panthers, who are riding a three-game losing streak. These teams combined for 70 points in their last meeting, so the high total should be no surprise. However, it's dropped three points since opening at 56.5, perhaps due to the expectation of 15-mph winds at kickoff.Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville JaguarsOpen: IND -3 / 47.5Current: IND -4 / 47The Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars met a mere three weeks ago, as the Colts came away with a 29-26 win as three-point favorites. The Jaguars announced Monday they'll start Cody Kessler at quarterback, which likely prompted the moves from Indianapolis -3 to -4 and the total from 48 to 47. At MGM, Indy was garnering 12 times more wagers than Jacksonville as of Saturday night.Denver Broncos at Cincinnati BengalsOpen: DEN -3.5 / 42.5Current: DEN -4.5 / 45The Denver Broncos are riding high following wins over the Los Angeles Chargers and Pittsburgh Steelers and will face a Cincinnati Bengals offense starting backup quarterback Jeff Driskel - two reasons why the public loves them on Sunday. Meanwhile, the total opened up at 42.5, but bumped up to 45 shortly after the news that A.J. Green was taken off the injury report. Denver had 10 times the ticket count over Cincinnati at MGM.Cleveland Browns at Houston TexansOpen: HOU -4.5 / 45Current: HOU -5.5 / 47.5The Houston Texans and Cleveland Browns are both coming off wins in which they scored 34 and 35 points, respectively. That may have played a part in the total jumping from 45 to 48 before settling in at 47.5. The Texans, who moved from -4.5 to -5.5 during the week, own an eight-game winning streak and have covered four of their past five spreads.Buffalo Bills at Miami DolphinsOpen: MIA -6.5 / 41Current: MIA -3.5 / 40It's been better late than never for the Buffalo Bills, who trounced the New York Jets in Week 10 before taking down the Jaguars at home last weekend. They've seen one of the bigger dips from the opener, going from +6.5 all the way down to +3.5 during the week.New York Jets at Tennessee TitansOpen: TEN -9.5 / 41Current: TEN -9.5 / 40.5It'll likely be Josh McCown under center for the New York Jets when they travel to take on the Tennessee Titans, as rookie Sam Darnold's expected to miss his third straight game. This line has jumped all over the place - the Titans hit as high as -10.5 and came all the way down to -7.5 before another rise to -9.5.Kansas City Chiefs at Oakland RaidersOpen: KC -15 / 55Current: KC - 14 / 54.5Bettors might be shying away from the Kansas City Chiefs after they cut ties with star running back Kareem Hunt. Following the release, the Chiefs dropped from -15 to -14 against the Oakland Raiders while the total trickled down from 56 to 55 in most shops.San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks Open: SEA -10 / 46Current: SEA -10 / 45.5Sunday's game between the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks has seen little movement on both the line and the total. The Seahawks were taken down from -10 to -9.5 earlier in the week for a short window of time, but essentially held steady at -10.Minnesota Vikings at New England PatriotsOpen: NE -7 / 48.5Current: NE -5 / 49.5Smarter players might be waiting to see if the line drops a bit more before pouncing on a team that's been lethal at home during the month of December in recent memory. As of Sunday, the line had already moved by two points.Los Angeles Chargers at Pittsburgh SteelersOpen: PIT -3.5 / 56Current: PIT -3 / 51.5The Los Angeles Chargers-Pittsburgh Steelers game saw more movement on the total than the spread all week, as the number slid from 56 all the way down to 51.5 before finally moving back up a tad. The Chargers, who will be without running back Melvin Gordon, also saw a key move from +3.5 to +3.Alex Kolodziej is theScore's betting writer. Former Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt is expected to be suspended longer than the NFL's baseline ban of six games for a violation of the personal conduct policy, sources with direct knowledge of the situation told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The NFL is also investigating an incident from June in which Hunt reportedly punched a man at an Ohio resort, Rapoport adds. It is believed enough evidence was found in that matter to add to his punishment. The running back is currently on waivers following his release from the team on Friday after video surfaced of him kicking and shoving a woman in a Cleveland hotel in February. He's been placed on the commissioner's exempt list for the time being, and a suspension can't begin until he's removed from the list. The league's investigation into the February events remains open, as previous attempts to contact the victim and her friend by email and phone have failed. The league never requested an interview with Hunt prior to his release, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen. Many witnesses were spoken to during the investigation, though their accounts said Hunt was not involved, which was contradicted by Friday's video evidence. The NFL wasn't allowed to subpoena the security video from the hotel, Schefter reports, but it did have the police report and spoke to the Chiefs after they talked with Hunt about the incident. No action had been taken by the team prior to Friday.Hunt is unlikely to learn the length of his ban until the offseason, but he may choose to begin serving the suspension as soon as possible instead of waiting on the exempt list, according to Rapoport.Copyright © 2018 Score Media Ventures Inc. Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon is expected to return from a knee injury either against the Cincinnati Bengals next week or for Week 15's Thursday night game against the Kansas City Chiefs, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.Austin Ekeler and rookie Justin Jackson are set to handle the backfield workload until the Pro Bowler is cleared.A returning Gordon will be a huge boost for L.A. as it attempts to catch the AFC-West leading Chiefs, who sit one game ahead with five weeks remaining.Prior to his injury in Week 10, Gordon was averaging a career-best 5.2 yards per carry and had found the end zone 13 total times this season.Copyright © 2018 Score Media Ventures Inc. Washington Redskins linebacker Reuben Foster will remain on the commissioner's exempt list after agreeing to not appeal his placement until his pending legal matter is resolved, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. As a result, Foster will likely sit out the rest of the season. The Redskins reportedly anticipated this scenario and were never counting on him making an impact this campaign, a source told Schefter.Washington claimed Foster after he was released by the San Francisco 49ers following an arrest for domestic violence. The Marvin Lewis era in Cincinnati is once again reportedly in danger of coming to a close.Despite the head coach signing a new two-year deal with the Bengals last offseason, the contract is actually for one season with a team option for 2019, sources told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. That means the team, which currently sits third in the AFC North with a 5-6 record, can let Lewis go after the current campaign with no financial penalty. It's a similar situation to last season, in which Lewis was widely thought to be done as the Bengals' head coach before two late wins helped secure his job.Rapoport added that it's possible Lewis moves into a front-office role with the Bengals and that special assistant Hue Jackson is a candidate to take over as head coach. While Lewis is apparently no lock to return, sources told Rapoport that Andy Dalton is expected to be back for 2019. The quarterback is on injured reserve with a thumb injury, and Cincinnati can release him with no cap hit this offseason, according to Spotrac.Copyright © 2018 Score Media Ventures Inc. Ex-NFL running back Ray Rice said he is willing to work with Kareem Hunt following his release from the Kansas City Chiefs for lying about an incident in which he shoved and kicked a woman."Peer-to-peer, I would definitely try to help him figure out, 'How can we start dealing with the underlying problems in your life?'" Rice told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. "Because he has a long life to live, this will be a defining moment, but it shouldn't be the moment that defines you. For me, I just see you have a long life to live and that doesn't mean just playing football - you need to just live one day at a time."Rice acknowledged the similarities in his and Hunt's situations. Rice was indefinitely suspended and released by the Baltimore Ravens in 2014 after a video was released of him punching his now-wife Janay in an Atlantic City elevator.Hunt is reportedly facing a ban of more than six games after video of his February altercation surfaced Friday, and the NFL is apparently investigating him for a separate alleged assault in June. While Rice never again played in the NFL, he has become an advocate against domestic violence, speaking to several teams and at the NFL Players Association rookie program. His advice to Hunt is to look at the circumstances that led to his actions and to surround himself with more positive influences."In that moment right there, you go back and you think about your own self," Rice said. "First, I would look at the situation and say, 'How did I even get in that moment?' Because whatever what was done in that moment, something transpired before it even got there."And honestly, while I don't know if alcohol or any substances were involved, I know those things can often play a role. I am not blaming anyone who was with him, but I wish someone that was with him, if he's not in his right mind ... would've said to him, 'Look at the situation. Is it worth risking it all for a split-second decision - for something you know you can get out of?'"Copyright © 2018 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. The Kansas City Chiefs released Kareem Hunt on Friday after a video emerged of him kicking and shoving a woman during a February incident at a Cleveland hotel. The Chiefs and the NFL said Friday they hadn't seen the footage until it was published but The Athletic's Nate Taylor reports both attempted to obtain the video in the months following the incident. The Chiefs were aware the Hunt video existed and tried to acquire it several times, according to Taylor, who detailed the final hours of the running back's tenure with the club. But the NFL reportedly instructed the Chiefs to stop trying to find the video once it began its own investigation into the incident. Hunt was never arrested or charged in connection to the altercation.Although the Chiefs released Hunt, it appears they want to help him find employment elsewhere in the league."The Chiefs told Hunt that he would never play in their uniform again, but they would do what they could to help him remain in the NFL if he takes the necessary steps to improve his behavior and make better decisions," Taylor wrote.Hunt reportedly told the Chiefs he stayed in the hotel room throughout the evening but his account was proven to be false when the video emerged, leading to his release."The belief is that he'll get help," a source told Taylor. “I do think he'll get it. This is a guy I believe can figure it out. This will be tough for a while."The NFL placed Hunt on the commissioner's exempt list shortly before his release and will conduct a full investigation.Copyright © 2018 Score Media Ventures Inc. "It was kind of just talk, and then I started looking at some of the sports I thought I'd be capable of doing. I was actually looking at badminton at first, and then it kind of transpired into curling. That's kind of how everything got started."Allen reached out to former NFL quarterback Marc Bulger, former NFL linebacker Keith Bullock, and former NFL offensive lineman Michael Roos about forming a foursome, which they've dubbed the "All-Pro Curling Team.""I threw the idea out there like, 'Wouldn't it be cool if a group of former NFL players tried to make the Olympics in curling?'" Each week, we take a look at five last-minute additions for your fantasy team heading into Sunday.Jeff Driskel, QB, Bengalsvs. BroncosJoe Robbins / Getty Images Sport / GettyDriskel is one of five expected replacement starters in Week 13, joining Chase Daniel, Colt McCoy, Cody Kessler, and Lamar Jackson.Of those five, Driskel may have the best offensive pieces with which to work. A.J. Green was removed from the injury report Friday, Tyler Boyd's coming off a seven-catch game against the Cleveland Browns, and running back Joe Mixon will keep the defense honest. The Broncos pose a formidable matchup as they rank 18th in fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, but Driskel will have home-field advantage. The 25-year-old passed for 155 yards and a touchdown on 17 attempts last week after replacing Andy Dalton against the Browns.Malcolm Brown, RB, Ramsat LionsIcon Sportswire / Icon Sportswire / GettyBrown could see an above average workload against the Lions as the Rams are 10-point road favorites. Lead back Todd Gurley has dealt with an ankle issue this week, but head coach Sean McVay has shown no sign of concern about his MVP candidate.Even if Gurley is available at full health this week, Brown would be likely to play more snaps once Gurley has padded his stats and the Rams build a comfortable lead. The fourth-year rusher has averaged 5.0 yards per carry and been a reliable option in the passing game this season. He rushed for 65 yards while racking up a season-high 13 carries in Week 7 against the San Francisco 49ers.Leonte Carroo, WR, Dolphinsvs. BillsIcon Sportswire / Icon Sportswire / GettyCarroo saw his second and third targets of the season in a Week 12 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, catching one of them for a 74-yard touchdown. While he'll remain far from a safe play in another tough matchup against the Bills' secondary, Carroo should be utilized more heavily by quarterback Ryan Tannehill with Danny Amendola and DeVante Parker seeming likely to join the handful of Dolphins receivers already sidelined by injury. He'll see plenty of looks if serving as the No. 2 across the field from Kenny Stills.Justin Jackson, RB, Chargersat SteelersDiamond Images / Diamond Images / GettyThe Chargers are likely to need both Austin Ekeler and Jackson to step up to replace Melvin Gordon for however long he'll be sidelined by injury.Jackson, a seventh-round rookie, took seven carries for 57 yards in his first meaningful offensive action of the season in Week 12. He's proven his worth on special teams, having played 30 percent of those snaps this year, according to Football Outsiders. The former Northwestern star topped 1,000 rushing yards in each of his four college seasons and added at least 200 receiving yards in three of his four campaigns.Keelan Cole, WR, Jaguarsvs. ColtsTom Szczerbowski / Getty Images Sport / GettyCole has had an extremely disappointing follow up to his 2017 breakout season, having caught just 29 passes for 375 yards and one touchdown. He had 42 receptions for 748 yards and three scores a year ago.The 25-year-old has been targeted just twice since Week 8, but he'll have an opportunity to re-emerge against the Colts, as rookie DJ Chark hasn't practiced due to a quad injury.Indianapolis' defense has performed well against secondary receivers this season, but they've struggled against deeper options, allowing averages of 5.4 targets and 41.1 yards with a DVOA ranked 25th in the NFL.Copyright © 2018 Score Media Ventures Inc. Green Bay Packers receiver Davante Adams is having the best season of his career and is ready to place himself into the most elite category."I think I’m the best receiver in the NFL. I do," Adams said, according to PackersNews.com's Ryan Wood.Adams ranks sixth in receptions (77), eighth in receiving yards (1,022), and fourth in touchdowns (10) among his position group this season. The fifth-year talent is one of only three receivers (Adam Thielen and Michael Thomas) to rank in the top eight of all those statistical categories."I feel like if you ask people, certain people will say that I'm a top receiver," Adams said. "But if you ask people to name their top receivers, they won't mention me. So that's where the disrespect is coming from. I don't think they say, 'Davante Adams sucks.' But they think that top five, they put the same celebrities in there every time."This is the first year Adams has surpassed 1,000 yards receiving but he has never played a full season and was only three yards shy of the mark in 2016.The 4-6-1 Packers will host the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday and Adams will draw a matchup against seven-time Pro-bowl corner Patrick Peterson, who has allowed a passer rating of just 76.1 on throws targeted his way this season, as per Pro Football Focus. Perhaps besting the NFL's top talent will give Adams the recognition he feels he deserves."I think I just need to put together a resume that reflects what I'm saying," he said. "It's not fair for me at this point to say this, or to stand on the podium and scream out to the world I'm the best, but I feel like I'm the best receiver at this point in my career. Where I'm at with my abilities, I feel like I am the best."I just have to continue doing what I'm doing. With that comes more recognition."Copyright © 2018 Score Media Ventures Inc. After uncovering some betting tips and giving out our best team total recommendations, here are our five best betting plays for Week 13 of the NFL season.Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay BuccaneersWager: Over 54.5We've enjoyed playing Tampa Bay Buccaneers overs on the road where they're allowing roughly 40 points per game, and unders at home where they're giving up half of that number. On Sunday, we're going against the grain. The Bucs are off an 18-point home win over the San Francisco 49ers and backup quarterback Nick Mullens. One of the league's worst defenses should get a reality check against a Carolina Panthers offense that should pose a ton of problems with a group of athletic skill players that are thriving in offensive coordinator Norv Turner's system. Even though these two teams combined for 70 points in the first meeting this season, we don't think there's enough defensive talent to make adjustments in this one.Denver Broncos at Cincinnati BengalsWager: Over 44.5We hit this one when it opened at 42.5 and would still recommend at the current number. The Denver Broncos were fortunate to allow only 39 combined points over the previous two games, which resulted in wins over the Los Angeles Chargers and Pittsburgh Steelers. Denver's defense was gashed for more than 1,000 yards of total offense combined but benefited from red zone stops versus LA and a couple of red zone turnovers against Pittsburgh. Coming off two big wins, the Broncos now play in a spot where the defense doesn't often show up.Under Vance Joseph, the Broncos have played an early start on the road seven times, going 0-7 straight up, 1-6 against the spread, and allowing more than 30 points per game. They do get a Cincinnati Bengals offense that will start Jeff Driskel at quarterback, but he'll have wide receiver A.J. Green back from injury. With the Bengals also ranking last in the NFL in points allowed, we're high on the over.Cleveland Browns at Houston Texans Wager: Under 47.5This number opened at 45 and reached 48 early in the week, in what we feel was a move based off recent offensive performances from both teams. The Cleveland Browns hung 35 on Cincinnati off a bye week and the Houston Texans put up 34 on the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football. The two offenses are led by dynamic, young quarterbacks that can score, but we like the under at this number.Extra PointsIndianapolis Colts at Jacksonville JaguarsRecommended Pick: Under 47.5The Jacksonville Jaguars defense has taken a huge step back this season, after leading the NFL in points allowed per game last year. But they've been great at home, allowing 16.2 points per game as opposed to 27.6 on the road. The Jaguars are also starting backup quarterback Cody Kessler, who is averaging 6.7 yards per passing attempt over his career. We'll side with the under in this divisional game.Minnesota Vikings at New England Patriots Recommended Pick: Vikings team total over 21.5The Minnesota Vikings offense should have an advantage over a New England Patriots defense that ranks No. 25 in the NFL against the pass and has only faced three teams that rank in the Top 14 in scoring this season. Foxborough is a tough place to play but the Vikings have shown their offense can travel, averaging 28 points on the road through five games this season.Top plays: 23-10-2 (69.7 percent)Overall record: 37-20-1 (64.9 percent)Alex Kolodziej is theScore's betting writer. The Kansas City Chiefs have released running back Kareem Hunt, the team announced Friday.A video was posted earlier in the day that shows Hunt pushing and kicking a woman in a Cleveland hotel. The NFL placed Hunt on the commissioner's exempt list shortly after the video emerged, while the Chiefs reportedly dismissed Hunt from the team's practice facility.Kansas City released the following statement:"Earlier this year, we were made aware of an incident involving running back Kareem Hunt. At that time, the National Football League and law enforcement initiated investigations into the issue. As part of our internal discussions with Kareem, several members of our management team spoke directly to him. Kareem was not truthful in those discussions. The video released today confirms that fact. We are releasing Kareem immediately."Hunt was accused of shoving 19-year-old Abigail Ottinger during an altercation at a Cleveland hotel in February. No charges were filed against Hunt, nor was he arrested and Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt said that he didn't expect a suspension from the NFL in August. The running back released the following statement shortly after his release, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport:"I want to apologize for my actions. I deeply regret what I did. I hope to move on from this."Rapoport added that both the NFL and the Chiefs reportedly hadn't seen the video prior to Friday.Copyright © 2018 Score Media Ventures Inc. The NFL has placed Kareem Hunt on the commissioner's exempt list following the release of a video Friday that shows the running back shoving and kicking a woman in a Cleveland hotel in February, the league announced. The Kansas City Chiefs announced shortly after that they have released the second-year pro.Hunt was accused in February of pushing a 19-year-old woman named Abigail Ottinger. Cleveland Police told NFL.com that no arrests were made and Hunt was not charged following the incident. NFL.com obtained police reports that stated witnesses gave conflicting reports to police about the source of the confrontation. The NFL and the Chiefs had not seen the video before Friday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports. The league made multiple attempts to obtain the video but both the hotel and Cleveland Police would not provide the footage, Rapoport adds. The league also made attempts to contact the alleged victims but did not receive a response, Rapoport reports, citing sources. The NFL originally opened an investigation into the matter in February, which will now include a review of "the new information that was made public (Nov. 30)," the league stated. The exempt list is defined as, per the NFL player personnel policy manual: "A special player status available to clubs only in unusual circumstances. The List includes those players who have been declared by the Commissioner to be temporarily exempt from counting within the Active List limit. Only the Commissioner has the authority to place a player on the Exempt List; clubs have no such authority, and no exemption, regardless of circumstances, is automatic. The Commissioner also has the authority to determine in advance whether a player's time on the Exempt List will be finite or will continue until the Commissioner deems the exemption should be lifted and the player returned to the Active List."Hunt led the league in rushing last year and ranks fifth in the league this season with 824 yards. Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown insists there's no bad blood between him and his long-time quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.Roethlisberger made headlines for criticizing Brown and James Washington's route-running following Sunday's loss to the Denver Broncos. The veteran quarterback doubled down Wednesday, telling reporters he's earned the right to criticize teammates.Brown appears unfazed by Roethlisberger's commentary."Ben is my guy, man," Brown said Friday, according to Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "I love him. There’s a method to his madness. It’s only going to inspire the group, encourage the group to do better. I know the type of guys he is. I know it can be misconstrued and changed in regards to how you guys put it out there. But he means well. He’s here to inspire us all."He's the only one in this locker room that has a championship under his belt. If you do the little things, it’s only going to encourage us to do something special."The receiver noted Roethlisberger's accomplishments lend weight to his critiques and pointed out the distinction between personal attacks and professional discourse."Yeah we talk," Brown said. "It's not personal the way you guys make it. You guys make big stories, man. That’s my guy. I love him. I got his back no matter what was said. Everything he said encouraged us to be better. He knows what it takes to win Super Bowls. None of us here have Super Bowl rings. That’s what we're in the hunt to do. We're in the hunt to win a Super Bowl. He's a guy who has two (rings) and understands what it takes."If he's (challenging) guys and is calling guys out it's only for the group to be better. It's not to bring everyone down or pit us against each other. He's going to elevate us together, bring us together to help us win games."The Steelers face the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.Copyright © 2018 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. (Warning: Video contains graphic content)A video of Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt shoving and kicking a woman in a Cleveland hotel in February was obtained by TMZ Sports and posted on Friday. In February, Hunt was accused of shoving a 19-year-old woman, Abigail Ottinger, during an altercation at a hotel. He was never charged in connection to the incident and the Chiefs CEO confirmed in August that he didn't anticipate a suspension from the NFL.In the video clip, Hunt can be seen arguing with a woman, apparently outside his hotel room. He shoves the woman, who retaliates by striking him in the face, causing a scuffle that requires several people to restrain the Chiefs player. In an attempt to get to the woman, Hunt explodes into one of his friends and the woman, pushing them both into a wall. He then kicks the woman on the floor before rushing back to his room. The NFL has yet to respond to TMZ's request for comment on the Hunt video. The Chiefs sent Hunt home from the team facility Friday after the video was released publicly, a source told ESPN's Dan Graziano. Further action is reportedly pending.Copyright © 2018 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. Certain content reproduced under license.

The Panthers have been just as awful as San Francisco when it comes to defending against quarterbacks, allowing multiple passing touchdowns in nine of their last 10 outings. In a game featuring one of the highest projected point totals of the week, Winston should flirt with top-five numbers. There's a chance of implosion whenever you put a Bucs starting quarterback in your lineup but the upside forces you to do it in most cases.Boone's projection: 324 passing yards, 3 TDs, 21 rushing yardsOther QBs to start
