Richard Sherman seems to have a strong feel for Earl Thomas' offseason plans, and his insight into the soon-to-be free agent's preferred destination should surprise no one.Though Sherman says there's "serious interest" for Thomas to join him with the San Francisco 49ers, he believes any potential suitors would have to outbid the Dallas Cowboys."If the money's equal, if all things are equal, he's going to Dallas," Sherman said Wednesday, according to Gregg Bell of The Sacramento Bee. "Now if that (compensation is) not the same, there's more of a discussion, more of a fight. But then it becomes a bidding war. But that's up to people (who) make more major decisions than I."Thomas has been heavily linked to the Cowboys for the past two seasons. After playing out his contract, free agency could finally give the star safety the opportunity to join his home-state team. The Cowboys would presumably love to add a player of Thomas' caliber, but it's unclear whether they'd be willing to match other offers the 29-year-old will likely receive on the open market. With Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott, Amari Cooper, and DeMarcus Lawrence all in line for lucrative contract extensions, it's certainly no sure thing. If Dallas can't justify the price tag - one which would presumably make Thomas one of the league's highest-paid safeties again - Sherman sees his 49ers as a realistic contender."There's serious interest. There's obviously a clear and easy fit," Sherman said. "But financially it has to make sense. If you go into free agency and say, 'Hey, we offered Earl Thomas $7 million,' it doesn’t matter how much I recruit, it doesn't how much you say. If finances make sense, then I would say we're a major player in it. If everything aligns the right way."Thomas earned six Pro Bowl appearances during an incredible nine-year run with the Seattle Seahawks, the vast majority of which he spent alongside Sherman leading the vaunted "Legion of Boom."Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. The Jacksonville Jaguars insist their superstar cornerback isn't available for trade this offseason.General manager Dave Caldwell threw cold water on the trade rumors that followed Jalen Ramsey last season, stating emphatically Wednesday that he won't be moved."We're not going to trade Jalen," Caldwell said on "PFT Live" from the NFL Scouting Combine, according to Pro Football Talk's Michael David Smith. "When you have a player that's one of the top at his position, it's hard to replace that player."Talk of the Jaguars shopping Ramsey first surfaced in November, when ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the star defensive back's behavior was slowly forcing the team to a point where it would consider trading him in the offseason.Jacksonville quickly released a statement saying there was "no truth to this rumor.""He's highly competitive and I think sometimes that might get the most of him," Caldwell said. "He just had to learn to curtail some of that stuff."Ramsey was quick to establish himself among the NFL's premier cornerbacks after being selected fifth overall in the 2016 draft. Caldwell also confirmed Wednesday that the team plans to exercise the fifth-year option on Ramsey's contract, a decision due this spring that would keep him under team control through the 2020 campaign.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. The CFL has directed the Montreal Alouettes to release quarterback Johnny Manziel after it was found he violated the agreement which made him eligible to play in the league."We are disappointed by this turn of events. Johnny was provided a great deal of support by our organization, in collaboration with the CFL, but he has been unable to abide by the terms of his agreement," general manager Kavis Reed said in a statement. "We worked with the league and presented alternatives to Johnny, who was unwilling to proceed."The league has informed all other teams that it will not register a contract for Manziel should any club attempt to sign him, ending the quarterback's time north of the border.Manziel thanked head coach Mike Sherman after the news broke and expressed interest in continuing his football career.

"But at the end of the day, as an organization, we felt like it was the right thing to do."Roseman did not disclose whether the Eagles had potential trade discussions if they did tag Foles. There was a reported mutual interest between the 30-year-old and the Jacksonville Jaguars.Foles helped Philadelphia capture its first Super Bowl during the 2017 campaign. Arizona Cardinals general manager Steve Keim did anything but slam the door on whispers that his team could select a quarterback with the first overall pick in the 2019 draft.Keim appeared noncommital when asked about his 2018 first-round selection Josh Rosen's job security as the team's starting quarterback."Yeah, he is right now, for sure," Keim told reporters on Wednesday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.Rosen struggled through his rookie season, and past ties between new Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury and top passing prospect Kyler Murray have spawned rumors the Cardinals could look to move on from Rosen after just one year.Earlier in the day, Kingsbury gave a more definitive evaluation of Rosen, telling NFL Network's Peter Schrager that the sophomore is "tremendously talented" and the Cardinals "want to build (the offense) around him."Though Kingsbury stopped short of guaranteeing the Cardinals won't look to replace Rosen in this spring's draft, he noted that "Josh knows where he stands with us."Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert refused to dismiss the possibility of trading disgruntled wide receiver Antonio Brown to rival clubs within the AFC North."Ideally you'll like to trade him to someone you'd never play," Colbert told reporters Wednesday at the NFL combine, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "But if a team comes through with the best compensation you have to weigh that."Colbert said the list of three teams that first expressed interested "has grown," according to NFL Network's Marc Sessler. The long-time executive added, however, that Pittsburgh is open to bringing Brown back if it doesn't receive ideal value in return. Aaron Rodgers will be in unfamiliar territory entering the 2019 season. The Green Bay Packers quarterback will be under the tutelage of new head coach Matt LaFleur after playing all but four games of his career as a starter with Mike McCarthy, but Packers president Mark Murphy has faith in the face of his franchise."He has to embrace it," Murphy said Tuesday at the NFL combine, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky. "And I think he is. I hope he adapts well. I'm excited. I know he's excited. I've had some discussions with him."Rodgers' relationship with his new coach could very well dictate the success of a franchise that's missed the playoffs in two straight seasons."I think (Rodgers) knows Matt's background and the work he's done with quarterbacks," Murphy continued. "Change is hard, but it's good. And I think he's excited about the change."LaFleur previously served as the Tennessee Titans' offensive coordinator after spending a season in the same role with the Los Angeles Rams. He turned over much of McCarthy's staff following his hiring but brought back assistant Luke Getsy as quarterbacks coach.Along with new offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, Getsy and LaFleur will be responsible for getting the Packers' offense back on track."We've got three quarterback guys that are going to be hitting him from all angles," LaFleur said last week. "I'm going to do part. I know that I need to be in that room, especially as much as I possibly can because I am going to be the play-caller."I think that relationship between the play-caller and the quarterback is absolutely critical. So I will be in there as much as I can. I don't foresee ever missing a quarterback meeting."Murphy is aware next season could be difficult for his quarterback after more than a decade under the same head coach, but the Packers president is optimistic about the future of the team under Rodgers."He's driven," Murphy said. "He wants to win championships, and I think he knows that he's got only so many years left. I'm excited. I think he and Matt, I think that relationship is going to be crucial. Cincinnati Bengals fan Scott Poston has filed a lawsuit against the team, alleging he underwent total reconstructive surgery on his right shoulder after slipping and falling on a substance used to clean up vomit, according to Kevin Grasha of the Cincinnati Inquirer. The lawsuit states that Poston, a season-ticket holder for more than 20 years, slipped as he was walking into a bathroom at Paul Brown Stadium during an Oct. 14, 2018 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.Hamilton County and Aramark Business Facilities, the company that provides janitorial services for the stadium, are also named in the lawsuit.Poston says there was vomit in one of the stalls and that stadium personnel attempted to clean it up using D-Vour - described by the company website as a product that "changes smelly liquids into an odorless semi-solid mass." He alleges that stadium personnel "dumped a huge amount of the substance on the bathroom floor" and failed to follow the instructions, which calls for a small amount to be used and cleaned up within a minute. He was taken to a medical area, where he was told he suffered "a minor soft tissue injury" to his shoulder and given a makeshift sling, according to the lawsuit. However, the lawsuit goes on to say that an MRI later revealed Polson had tears to three rotator cuff muscles, a dislocated bicep, and strains of two other muscles. The Bengals believe that the county should be responsibly for compensating Poston, not the team, according to the lawsuit.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. After two days of discussion about replay review in the NFL, the league's competition committee failed to reach a consensus about whether to change the process, several members told ESPN's Kevin Seifert on Tuesday. The push to overhaul the current system stems from the NFC Championship Game no-call when Los Angeles Rams cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman blatantly contacted New Orleans Saints wide receiver Tommylee Lewis prior to the arrival of a pass. However, the controversy apparently didn't spark any fresh ideas, as the committee re-examined previously rejected proposals such as adding an eighth official to each game's crew."We've had these conversations," Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said. "And you start rehashing them, and you go, 'Oh my gosh, we've had this conversation again and again and again and again and again.'"There is "very little" support to make significant changes, a source on the committee told Yahoo Sports' Charles Robinson.Committee chairman Rich McKay said a consensus might not happen until the owners meet from March 24 to 27, and added that any changes would most likely be "tweaks" to allow more freedom to correct obvious errors.McKay acknowledged the NFL needs to re-evaluate its processes after the conference championship game, but he stressed that doing so is a complex undertaking with a wide variety of factors to consider."Given the significance of the play, and the focus on that error late in the game, you need to have a top-down discussion again," McKay said. "I think that's the right thing to do. When you have it, you may come up with some ideas to modify replay, add to, subtract from, whatever it may be. I think that's a healthy discussion."And also, I think you're going to have some people who have historically wanted to expand replay and want to use this moment to have that discussion, which I don't blame them for wanting to do. For any discussion about it, you have to go all the way through, meaning end to end, because there are so many complications to it, in the way it impacts the game, officiating, time of game, pace of game, all those things. We are going to do that."Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. Certain content reproduced under license.

The NFL Scouting Combine begins Tuesday and on-field drills start March 1. It's arguably the most important week leading up to the draft, as a number of prospects can see their stock rise or plummet in an instant. With that in mind, here are 10 players to watch in Indianapolis as they attempt to wow NFL decision-makers.Kyler Murray, QB, OklahomaAll eyes will be on the Sooners quarterback at Lucas Oil Stadium as the most interesting prospect in this year's class. Murray has yet to disclose whether or not he'll throw at the combine, but perhaps no player is relying more on a successful weigh-in.Murray was listed at 5-foot-10, 195 lbs at Oklahoma. Already guaranteed to be the smallest NFL passer upon his arrival, an official measurement under this could potentially hurt his draft stock. Football is a game of inches, after all.Rashan Gary, Edge, MichiganIcon Sportswire / Icon Sportswire / GettyIf you're looking for this year's freak athlete, then Gary is your man. At 6-foot-5, 280 lbs, the defensive lineman is expected to run with linebacker or tight end speed during the 40-yard dash. Look for him to shine in position drills as well.Gary's 2018 game tape leaves something to be desired - though he was double-teamed often - so an explosive combine could cement his top-10 status.Mecole Hardman, WR, GeorgiaHardman is a late-round prospect worth keeping an eye on this week. The Georgia product has blazing speed, and is expected to be one of the fastest runners at Lucas Oil Stadium. If Hardman can run a sub-4.3 second 40-yard dash, his draft stock could skyrocket.Jonah Williams, OT, AlabamaFrederick Breedon / Getty Images Sport / GettyWilliams is competing with Florida's Jawaan Taylor and Oklahoma's Cody Ford to be the first offensive tackle chosen in 2019. However, there's widespread debate about whether the former Crimson Tide standout should play tackle or guard. If his measurements, particularly his arm length, are significantly worse than teams expect, his chances of beating out Taylor and Ford will drop dramatically.Ed Oliver, DT, HoustonOliver is a player to watch in Indianapolis for a number of reasons. Seen as a top-20 player in this year's draft, the defensive lineman plays like an elite athlete, but some scouts believe he's significantly lighter than his listed weight of 292 lbs. Oliver will need to pass the measurable test on day one.The three-time All American will also be under the microscope during team interviews after a late-season dispute with former Houston head coach Major Applewhite. On the field, Oliver will be a ton of fun to watch, as he possesses incredible movement skills for a defensive tackle.Clelin Ferrell, Edge, ClemsonGrant Halverson / Getty Images Sport / GettyFerrell enjoyed a productive career at Clemson, and is as polished of a pass-rusher as you'll find in a prospect, but there's one thing holding him back from securing a top-10 selection: a successful combine. The edge defender has excellent size, length, and power, but there are questions regarding his speed, bend, and overall athleticism. A number of teams will be watching Ferrell closely in position drills and athletic testing. He has a lot to prove.Jachai Polite, Edge, FloridaPolite dominated opposing offensive tackles during his final season at Florida, and he'll look to continue his momentum in Indianapolis. He'll first hope to measure on the right side of 6-foot-2 to not raise concerns regarding his fit in certain schemes. The pass-rusher showed incredible get-off and bend with the Gators, so he'll be tons of fun to watch during the three-cone and position drills. Acing the combine could lead to Polite being selected in the top 15.Devin Singletary, RB, Florida Atlantic Joel Auerbach / Getty Images Sport / GettyThe 2019 draft lacks a truly elite running back, but is loaded with potential second-day targets. Singletary will attempt to separate himself from his peers with a strong week. While incredibly elusive at Florida Atlantic, the star rusher appears to lack breakaway speed. A fast 40 time and strong reps catching the football will result in Singletary's stock rising.D.K. Metcalf, WR, Ole MissBy now, you've probably seen his viral gym photo, but it's just one of the many reasons to watch Metcalf at the combine. At 6-foot-4, 237 lbs, the athletic freak is expect to blaze the 40-yard dash in under 4.5 seconds, which would be quite a feat. You won't want to leave your seat when the former Ole Miss wideout is testing.Metcalf will also hope to ace his medical evaluations and shine in position drills in order to show teams he's fully recovered, after his 2018 season was cut short due to a neck injury.Deandre Baker, CB, GeorgiaIcon Sportswire / Icon Sportswire / GettyBaker's tape is simply outstanding, as he consistently flashes the ability to develop into a lock-down defender in the NFL. Despite the 2018 Jim Thorpe Award winner's sticky coverage skills, some scouts question his speed and athleticism. If he can silence his critics this week, Baker will be in contention to be the first cornerback off the board in April's draft.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. The rebuilding Oakland Raiders have three first-round picks to work with at the 2019 NFL Draft, but that doesn't necessarily mean they'll be keeping all of them.Head coach Jon Gruden says anything can happen on draft day, including Oakland moving first-rounders."I think so," Gruden said Friday on "The Game Plan" podcast when asked if his team could trade the No. 24 and No. 27 selections for the right player. The Raiders acquired the No. 24 and No. 27 picks from the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys, respectively, when they shipped away Khalil Mack and Amari Cooper. They also hold their own selection at No. 4."I think there's a lot of potential for trades," Gruden continued. "I think that's one of the things I'm really excited about. (New Raiders general manager) Mike Mayock, what he brings to the table, he's got great resources around the NFL. He's been in every building, he's on a first-name basis, everybody knows Mike."And I think he's gonna be on the phones quite a bit, not only with those two picks you talked about. Who knows, we may move up with the No. 4 pick, we may move back with that pick. We'll see how it all unfolds."Gruden also touched on free agency, slated to open March 11. He explained that while most of the Raiders' recent focus has been on studying players soon to hit the market, the team doesn't want to hinder its flexibility before the draft begins on April 25."We'll see where the market goes," he said. "But you don't want to spend all your money that you have on a few free agents, you want to try to keep some of that money available in case a trade might develop during the draft."The Raiders went 4-12 in 2018 and have one winning year in their last 16 seasons.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. The Cleveland Browns have re-signed offensive tackle Greg Robinson after a season in which he finally established himself as a viable starter.Robinson's agency announced the deal Monday. It's a one-year agreement, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The No. 2 overall pick of the St. Louis Rams in 2014, Robinson struggled mightily for the first three seasons of his career. He was traded to the Detroit Lions in 2017 but didn't fare much better there before an injury cut his campaign short.Robinson, 26, signed with the Browns in June 2018 and earned a roster spot out of training camp. He began the season as a backup but eventually became the starter at left tackle, where he finished the year.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. The Baltimore Ravens released veteran receiver Michael Crabtree on Monday.Crabtree signed a three-year, $21-million contract last offseason. The team saves $4.6 million in cap space by cutting the 31-year-old, according to Spotrac.Crabtree ranked second on the team in receptions (54), third in receiving yards (607), and tied for second in touchdown catches (three) in his lone season in Baltimore. Those numbers were on par with his production with the Oakland Raiders the previous season - except for the scores, which declined from eight in 2017.His usage dropped precipitously after rookie Lamar Jackson took over as the Ravens' starting quarterback in Week 11. Crabtree never topped three receptions or 38 yards in a game from that point onward. However, Crabtree did catch two passes that went for touchdowns in Baltimore's wild-card playoff loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. The 10-year vet will be among the top available receivers when free agency begins March 13.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. The Oakland Raiders reached an agreement to play the 2019 season at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, pending approval of the board that oversees the stadium, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The deal includes a team option that will allow the Raiders to stay in Oakland for the 2020 season if their stadium in Las Vegas isn't ready, sources told Rapoport. It also increases the likelihood that free-agent running back Marshawn Lynch returns to play another season for his hometown club, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports. The Raiders spent days negotiating a new lease with the venue's officials. The previous one expired 10 days ago, briefly leaving the franchise homeless. The Raiders looked into the possibility of playing in San Francisco or Santa Clara in the event they were unable to strike a deal with the coliseum. The new lease could be finalized by Wednesday and presented to the board for a vote as early as Friday, according to Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. Pass-rusher Armonty Bryant was signed by the Oakland Raiders in April 2018. Two months later, he retired from the NFL.The abrupt decision came after Bryant was diagnosed with focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, a condition that requires dialysis and has the former six-year pro awaiting a kidney transplant."They say the kidney is a silent killer. It's true because I can tell you right now, I had nothing wrong with me," Bryant said to ESPN's Michael Rothstein."I had a little back issue, but that's about it. I never thought that this could end my career basically."Bryant was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in 2013 and spent three years with the team before he was released and subsequently signed with the Detroit Lions in 2016. He was cut by Detroit in 2017 and signed with the Raiders the next spring. It was upon signing with Oakland that team doctors discovered elevated potassium levels in his test results and ordered him to an emergency room. His blood pressure spiked to nearly 200 and he was forced to switch blood pressure medication. Doctors told him he could no longer play football and had to begin treatment. He now undergoes a process that requires dialysis every four hours."When I look in the mirror, I don't see myself. I see a sick person. I see a tube coming out of my stomach. I don't see Armonty Bryant," he said.Bryant was suspended three times by the NFL between 2016 and 2017, twice for performance-enhancing drugs and once for violating the substance abuse policy. He said the ban was for Adderall use and doesn't know how his illness developed. He spends much of his time now undergoing treatment in his bedroom."I need a kidney. And I want people to know you don't have to be a match for me to donate a kidney," he said.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. Certain content reproduced under license.

Adam Levine's shirt removal during the Super Bowl LIII halftime show has sparked comparisons to the infamous Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction that occurred in 2004.The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) received over 50 complaints from viewers regarding the Maroon 5 frontman's nipples, with many pointing out a double standard, according to Ashley Cullins of the Hollywood Reporter."In 2004, CBS was fined $550,000 for airing what has become known as the 'Nipple Slip.' In 2019, CBS aired Adam Levine removing his shirt exposing both nipples. This must be dealt with in a similar manner, or the double standard must be made public," one viewer wrote."Seeing Adam Levine's nipples was repulsive. Also the fact that there hasn't been an immediate backlash like the Janet Jackson incident is disturbing and sexist," said another.More than half a million people reportedly filed complaints with the FCC after Justin Timberlake removed part of Jackson's outfit during the Super Bowl XXXVIII halftime show, exposing her right breast. The FCC issued a $550,000 indecency fine against CBS, but it was later thrown out by a federal appeals court. There was speculation last year that Jackson had been banned by the NFL after it was announced Timberlake would perform at Super Bowl LII, however, the league released a statement denying that was the case.

Kyler Murray insisted Saturday that he won't change his mind about playing football to pursue a baseball career with the Oakland Athletics."I mean, they can hold out all the hope they want to," Murray said Saturday of the A's, according to ESPN's Jake Trotter. "I'm going to play football."Murray was taken by the Athletics with the ninth overall pick in the 2018 MLB Draft. When he signed his contract, the team allowed him to stay at Oklahoma through the fall semester so he could play quarterback. The 21-year-old wound up starring with the Sooners, capturing the Heisman Trophy and surging up draft boards. He proceeded to back out of his agreement with Oakland and enter the NFL draft."The night I got drafted to the A's - obviously it was a great day of my life - but I've been a football player my whole life," Murray said. "I didn't know how the NFL felt about me before this season because I hadn't played."Going into this (football) season, (the goal) was to put myself in the best position possible. Obviously, when you win, good things happen. A lot of good stuff happened this year."Murray will attend the NFL Scouting Combine, which begins Tuesday, though it's unclear if he plans to participate in throwing drills. The multi-sport star is expected to be a top-32 pick in the NFL draft, which would make him the first athlete ever to be selected in the opening round of both drafts.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. Former Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson is one step closer to starting his own medical marijuana business.Johnson and his wife, Brittney, received preliminary approval Thursday for a license to open a medical marijuana dispensary in Michigan, according to Kathleen Gray of the Detroit Free Press. This was Johnson's second time applying for a license after being denied in December due to unpaid traffic tickets issued to him in Atlanta nearly 10 years ago.Individuals are typically granted pre-qualification status when they've gone through a background check but have yet to receive approval from the community where the business would be located."Calvin is grateful and looks forward to operating with his brand Primitive in this new venture," Johnson's attorney, Michael Stein, said. As the Pittsburgh Steelers field offers for Antonio Brown, former receiver Hines Ward is chiming in on the team's dramatic offseason and Ben Roethlisberger's role as a veteran."Ben is the leader of that team. He's been there, he's done that," Ward said Friday on NFL Total Access, according to Grant Gordon of NFL.com. "I just think he has to take the initiative to kinda do more as a leader. Not just being able to call guys out on his radio show. Take them behind - treat them like, you know we always say we're a band of brothers - like, pull me to the side, let me know what I can do to get better."You don't have to air it out to the public where everyone can hear. So I just think he needs to do a better job of that."It was Roethlisberger's comments that reportedly caused a rift between him and Brown this past season, leading the receiver to miss Pittsburgh's Week 17 contest.General manager Kevin Colbert said earlier this week he has "no problem" with Roethlisberger criticizing his teammates.Pittsburgh ended its 2018 season with a 9-6-1 record, missing the playoffs for the first time since 2013. Ward, who played eight seasons with Roethlisberger and won two Super Bowls, hopes the franchise can return to its winning ways."For the Steelers, just get back to playing football," he said. "That's always been our motto, just lining up and kicking tail and that's what I think, for the Pittsburgh Steelers, they gotta get back to just doing that."Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. Veteran safety Devin McCourty became the first New England Patriots player to publicly react to the news of team owner Robert Kraft being charged in relation to an eight-month human trafficking and prostitution investigation.McCourty believes the best way to approach Friday's reports is to wait for all the details to emerge before jumping to a conclusion."When you see things come out like that you really have to just let it play out," McCourty said Friday on a goodwill trip to Puerto Rico, according to Tom E. Curran of NBC Sports. "See what it is, what it isn't, and go from there.""For me, (Kraft) has been a great person to lean on as far as social justice stuff, a guy to lean on, a guy to talk to, always present in the locker room, always there to talk to guys. I've had the opportunity to build that kind of relationship with him. The Pittsburgh Steelers will not trade Antonio Brown to the New England Patriots or Pittsburgh's divisional rivals, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.Along with the Steelers, the Cincinnati Bengals, Baltimore Ravens, and Cleveland Browns are all members of the AFC North.Pittsburgh would reportedly prefer to ship Brown to an NFC team for competitive reasons.General manager Kevin Colbert has already fielded calls from three teams about a possible Brown trade and is being mindful of how the receiver's landing spot could directly affect the Steelers."I mean, when you're trading away a player like this who could determine your own record and your own Super Bowl potential, of course you want to not trade him to teams that might be a factor," Colbert said. "But if those teams step up and say, 'Look, we'll give you the best picks or the best players,' then we have to make that judgment. OK, yeah, they're a competitor, but what they're giving us far exceeds what these other folks are willing to do."So, will we be selective? It depends on what the compensation is."Brown hit the trading block after meeting with Steelers owner Art Rooney II on Tuesday when the two parties mutually agreed to part ways. The star receiver had 104 receptions for 1,297 yards and 15 touchdowns during the 2018 season.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc.
