The New York Jets finally received some good news Thursday afternoon. The MRI on running back Le'Veon Bell's shoulder revealed no major damage or tears, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, who adds the test was mostly precautionary.Bell, 27, is dealing with a sore shoulder and missed Thursday's practice as a result, head coach Adam Gase said.News of the running back's injury initially came just after Gase told the media quarterback Sam Darnold will miss Monday's game against the Cleveland Browns and could be out for a couple of weeks with mono.Gase was optimistic regarding his prized free-agent addition's status going forward."This could be just soreness," Gase said. "I mean, we don't think it's anything worse than that. But we're just being a little extra cautious."Bell confirmed the news Thursday afternoon on Twitter:

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Nick Foles is targeting a Week 11 return from the broken collarbone he suffered in his team's season opener, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.Foles' recovery is expected to take roughly 10-12 weeks depending on how the bone heals, Fowler adds. The Jaguars placed the former Super Bowl MVP on injured reserve earlier this week after he underwent surgery.Foles, 30, is required under league rules to miss at least the next eight weeks. Jacksonville will then have the option of using one of its two IR-return spots on him. Head coach Doug Marrone previously stated he didn't expect the veteran's injury to be season-ending.With Foles sidelined, the Jaguars will turn to rookie Gardner Minshew as their new starting quarterback. The team also acquired Josh Dobbs from the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. Certain content reproduced under license.

Washington Redskins running back Derrius Guice is out indefinitely after undergoing knee surgery Thursday, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.Guice met with orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews earlier Thursday to get a second opinion on his torn meniscus, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.Schefter previously reported the running back would be facing a six-to-eight week recovery if he did go under the knife.Guice's injury is to his right knee. The running back missed all of last season after suffering a torn ACL in his left knee.Despite his poor injury luck, Guice appeared to be in good spirits when penning a tweet on Thursday.

Week 1 was treacherous for favorites.Underdogs went 10-6 against the spread, which included five outright wins and one tie. Lines will adjust as the season wears on, but until oddsmakers get a better grip on these teams, there will be value to be had on the board. Here's how to find it in Week 2:Buffalo Bills at New York GiantsLine: Bills -2The Bills have played more games at MetLife Stadium this season than the Giants have. There was a lot to like about the Bills' defense in their comeback win over the New York Jets, but there was also plenty to dislike about the offense. The Jets had that game in the bag before a defensive breakdown in the fourth quarter handed the Bills a big divisional win. While there's reason for optimism in Orchard Park, Josh Allen's inability to protect the football is cause for concern. In his last five road starts, he's turned the ball over 11 times, including four times in Week 1 against the Jets. He's an excellent athlete, but that's hardly a winning recipe. Allen ended a four-game losing skid on the road against the Jets, but it's never easy to open the season with consecutive games away from New Era Field. In fact, teams beginning the season with back-to-back road games have gone 1-14 against the spread in Week 2 since the start of the 2015 season. Teams in this spot are also 2-11-1 as favorites since 2007. More good news for Giants backers: With Eli Manning under center, they're 8-4 ATS in home games when coming off a double-digit loss, like the one they suffered in Dallas in Week 1. Expect Manning to deny the Bills a MetLife sweep on Sunday.Pick: Giants +2, Giants ML (+115)Kansas City Chiefs at Oakland RaidersLine: Chiefs -8After backing poor Nick Foles and the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1, I'm going against the Chiefs again in Week 2. Clearly, I'm a glutton for punishment, but the trend we're using to fade the Bills also applies to Kansas City (see above). Simply put, teams that begin the season with back-to-back road games have struggled mightily in Week 2 (1-14 ATS record since 2015).There's more to this trend. Road favorites coming off a road win are just 7-20-2 ATS (25.9%) since 2017. Even Andy Reid - who's historically been successful when he has extra time to prepare - took the Chiefs into Oakland last season following a bye week but could only manage a seven-point win, failing to cover the -14 spread. It will also be interesting to see how Kansas City's offense responds after losing Tyreek Hill to injury. The Raiders, on the backs of Josh Jacobs and Darren Waller, looked like a competent team in their win over the Denver Broncos - something they struggled to resemble for most of last season. The Raiders have gone 5-0 ATS as home 'dogs when getting between seven and 10 points with Derek Carr as their starter, and they should make it 6-0 on Sunday.Pick: Raiders +8Ezra Shaw / Getty Images Sport / GettyPhiladelphia Eagles at Atlanta FalconsLine: Eagles -1.5I was most eager to see the line for this game. After the Eagles comfortably beat the Washington Redskins following an early scare - while the Falcons were dismantled by the Vikings - oddsmakers had little choice but to price the Eagles as small road faves. This isn't a game Atlanta can afford to lose. Opening the year with a pair of losses against likely NFC playoff teams would sewer its season.Expect a strong response from the Falcons and Matt Ryan against an Eagles secondary that's prone to giving up chunk plays. In his career, Ryan is 7-1 ATS and 7-1 straight up as a home underdog of three points or less. He's also excelled at home in prime time, going 12-5 in those contests.Pick: Falcons +1.5, Falcons ML (+105)Alex is a sports betting writer for theScore. Donte Moncrief is hoping to recover from an ugly Pittsburgh Steelers debut that saw him drop the ball both literally and figuratively."It's sickening when you watch it and you know the plays you were supposed to make and you didn't make them," the veteran said Wednesday, according to Kevin Gorman of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "You see them and you're like, 'Gosh, I've got to make that.'"Moncrief dropped four passes in the Steelers' season-opening loss to the New England Patriots. The 26-year-old signed a two-year, $9-million contract with Pittsburgh in free agency this summer and was hailed as a viable complement to newly anointed No. 1 wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster."I went home and went straight to sleep," Moncrief said of his Week 1 performance. "It hurt me so I had to put that away. It's a new week. It's time to go."Ben Roethlisberger targeted Moncrief 10 times against the Patriots, but the receiver managed to reel in just three balls for seven yards as the Steelers found themselves on the wrong end of a 33-3 shellacking to begin the campaign.Moncrief, who spent last season with the Jacksonville Jaguars, said he received a supportive text message from his quarterback after the rough first outing."He believes in me and I believe in myself," he told Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "I had some drops I shouldn't have had and I know I can make those. I got to get better with that."Moncrief will get his chance at redemption when the Steelers face the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams is currently dealing with a sore knee and is considered week-to-week, a source told ESPN's Josina Anderson.Williams apparently suffered the injury in the Chargers' Week 1 victory over the Indianapolis Colts.Head coach Anthony Lynn told reporters Wednesday he's "absolutely" concerned about the third-year wideout's knee and added rookie Anthony Johnson to the team's practice squad "just in case," according to Gilbert Manzano of the Orange County Register. The degree and location of the reported soreness have yet to be disclosed. It's possible Williams misses Los Angeles' Week 2 matchup with the Detroit Lions, Anderson adds, though a definitive status hasn't been determined.Williams did not practice Wednesday. The 24-year-old is coming off a breakout 2018 season that saw him catch 43 passes for 664 yards and 10 touchdowns. Travis Benjamin, Dontrelle Inman, and Geremy Davis will likely see their snaps increased should Williams miss time.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. Reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes is still the MVP front-runner entering Week 2, but a second-year quarterback is quickly making his case after an eye-popping season debut.Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson skyrocketed up the odds board this week thanks to a career performance against the Miami Dolphins, shortening his odds from 50-1 a week ago to 10-1 on Tuesday.Jackson entered the year at 100-1 amid questions surrounding his accuracy and general competence at the quarterback position. He answered those with a fervor, finishing 17 of 20 for 324 yards, five touchdowns, and a perfect 158.3 passer rating despite sitting out most of the second half.He had an answer for some of his critics, too:

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Hunter Henry suffered a tibia plateau fracture to his left knee during the Week 1 win over the Indianapolis Colts, the team announced Wednesday, according to Andie Hagemann of NFL.com.The Chargers have yet to determine a timetable for Henry's return but the team's initial expectation is a four-to-six week absence, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.Henry, a former second-round pick, suffered a lacerated kidney late in 2017 and missed last season with a torn ACL.When the 24-year-old went down in 2018, the Chargers re-signed franchise legend Antonio Gates to a one-year deal. The future Hall of Famer, who had 333 yards and two touchdowns last season, remains a free agent.Henry's newest ailment likely explains why Los Angeles worked out former Oakland Raiders tight end Luke Willson on Tuesday, according to NFL insider Adam Caplan. The Chargers are already dealing with multiple cornerback injuries, as well as the absences of left tackle Russell Okung and running back Melvin Gordon.Okung will miss at least the first six weeks of the regular season after suffering a pulmonary embolism, while Gordon is holding out as he seeks a trade away from Los Angeles.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden said veteran running back Adrian Peterson will start when the Dallas Cowboys visit FedEx Field in Week 2, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.Peterson was a healthy scratch for the Redskins' season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles. Second-year runner Derrius Guice got the start in his NFL debut after missing his entire rookie campaign with a torn ACL.However, Guice was ineffective and then sustained another knee injury. The LSU product is now expected to miss an extended period with a meniscus issue, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.Gruden had previously seemed less than enthusiastic about the idea of going with Peterson at running back."I think it will be week-to-week," Gruden said about Peterson's playing time heading into the season. "So if we have a game where we think we can run the ball 55 times a game in an I-formation, then sure, I'll get him up."With Guice now sidelined, Peterson and Chris Thompson - who is more of a third-down specialist - are the team's options at running back. When Guice's ACL tear thrust Peterson into the starting role last year, the 34-year-old responded with a revival season, posting 1,042 yards and seven touchdowns on 251 carries after amassing just 602 yards in the previous three years combined.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. Cincinnati Bengals All-Pro wideout A.J. Green, who underwent surgery to repair torn ankle ligaments in July, is progressing well with his recovery.Green has already shed his walking boot and he's running on a zero-gravity treadmill, according to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com. However, he's still taking a cautious approach."Just making sure I don't come back too soon and hurt it again," said Green. The wideout has struggled to stay on the field in recent years, missing seven games because of a toe issue last season and another six due to a hamstring tear in 2016.When Green is healthy, few can match his talent and output. Since entering the league, the now 31-year-old has put up the fourth-most receiving yards, caught the fifth-most passes, and scored the sixth-most receiving touchdowns in the NFL despite missing those 13 games over the past few seasons. There's still no timetable for Green's return, according to ESPN's Ben Baby. During an appearance Wednesday on ESPN's Sportscenter, Antonio Brown's agent Drew Rosenhaus said he's "very confident" his client will be cleared of rape allegations."Antonio takes these allegations very seriously," Rosenhaus told ESPN, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. "He is a loving father (of) five children, including a daughter. I, myself, am a father and I have two children, two daughters, that I love very much, along with my wife."I wouldn't be doing this interview if I didn't believe Antonio. These allegations are false. He denies every one of them. I'm very confident that his legal team has facts that will prove this."Rosenhaus said the accusations leveled by Brown's former trainer Britney Taylor are a "money grab" and called for the public to "allow the situation to play itself out.""I'm advising him to let the truth come out," Rosenhaus said. "I'm advising him to concentrate on football. I'm advising him to cooperate with the Patriots, with the NFL, with the NFLPA. Antonio and I both strongly believe that these allegations are very serious."In no way do we condone any type of illegal conduct, misbehavior. None of that happened here. This is a money grab. I'll repeat this, this is a money grab. In my opinion, this is a money grab."In a statement Tuesday, Brown's lawyer also said the All-Pro wideout "refuses to be the victim of what he believes to be a money grab."A federal lawsuit filed Tuesday stated Brown sexually assaulted Taylor on three separate occasions in 2017 and 2018.Brown practiced with the Patriots for the first time Wednesday. The NFL is reportedly weighing whether to place him on the commissioner's exempt list, which would make him ineligible to play.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. Barring a tie, one NFC South team will need to buck an ugly trend following the result of Thursday night's game between the 0-1 Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the 0-1 Carolina Panthers.Teams that fall into an 0-2 hole to start the season have only made the playoffs 10% of the time, which means the stakes will be surprisingly high in this Week 2 matchup. Here's everything bettors need to know for Buccaneers-Panthers.Line movementCarolina opened -5, but that didn't last long. The Panthers saw a move to -6.5 almost immediately, and then ticked up to -7 later in the week. After some back-and-forth, the line is holding steady at -6.5 one day before the game. The total has fluctuated plenty since opening at 51. After an initial drop to 50, it jumped back up to 51, down to 49.5, and back up again to 50.5 before holding firm at 49.5 over the last 24 hours.Betting breakdownThe Panthers caught some late sharp money in Week 1, pushing them from a three-point 'dog to +1.5 by the time the line closed. The result was a three-point defeat to the Rams, moving Carolina to a dreadful 2-7 run against the spread (ATS) dating back to last season. Overall, the Panthers have won outright just once in their last nine tries. Head coach Ron Rivera has also been a good fade in recent games as a favorite, losing the last four ATS and three of those outright when giving points. The Buccaneers were one of the best "over" teams to start the year in 2018, hitting seven of the first eight before closing out the season on a 2-6 run. They kicked off 2019 with a 31-17 loss to the 49ers as 1-point favorites, while also registering another "under." But dating back to the 2016 season, Tampa Bay is on a 13-3-1 run to the "over" when playing away from home and 10-3 as a road underdog.Important trendsYou won't get anywhere if you're banking on either team's general success when playing in a Thursday prime-time window. The Panthers and Buccaneers have the worst ATS records in the NFC South, combining to go 1-12-1 in this situation. But if you expand the angle a bit, there's more clarity.Home favorites on Thursday night have lost the last two games outright - Los Angeles (Chargers) over Kansas City last season and Green Bay over Chicago in Week 1 - but they're still running hot of late. Teams in this situation are currently on an 11-3-1 run ATS, putting Carolina in an optimal spot. The Bucs' road woes are alarming. The franchise hasn't won a road game in its last seven tries and is currently on an 0-12 run straight up on the road following a loss.Player propsChris Godwin over 64.5 receiving yardsGodwin's always been a receiver on most fantasy players' radar given both the offensive scheme and his general talent. He became even more of a hot commodity in the Bucs' offense once DeSean Jackson left the mix, being upgraded to the team's full-time No. 2 receiver alongside Mike Evans. Last week's stat line against the 49ers was a bit underwhelming - three catches for 53 yards - but Godwin led the team in targets. If the Bucs are trailing, they're going to throw the ball, and Godwin should once again be a primary target. He also had one of his best games of the 2018 season against the Panthers when he went off for 101 yards on five catches and a touchdown in Week 13.PickConsidering how home teams have fared recently in this spot and with the spread on a key number, opening up a teaser with Carolina involved certainly doesn't seem like a terrible idea.Alex Kolodziej is a betting writer for theScore. The NFL's centennial season opened with a bang this past weekend, as the league announced a 5% increase in viewers compared to last year. The average Week 1 game was seen by 17.1 million people on broadcast, with another 514,000 watching on digital platforms. The ratings bump can largely be attributed to digital streaming, which saw a significant 43% spike. Opening week also dominated the broadcast platform, as NFL games were the top six programs of the week on that medium. The Dallas Cowboys' dismantling of the New York Giants attracted an average of 23.9 million viewers, FOX's best figure for a season opener since 2016 and the most viewed game of the week.Thursday's opener and the Sunday Night Football broadcast each averaged 22.2 million viewers, as both saw increases for the first time since 2015, according to The Associated Press. The AP also reported that the Monday doubleheader ranked as the top two programs on cable that night, while the network saw its best viewership numbers for those contests in four years.Overall, NFL teams scored a Week 1-record 90 touchdowns, which were seen by a total audience of more than 109 million.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. The NFL will give "serious consideration" to placing Antonio Brown on its commissioner's exempt list after the New England Patriots wide receiver was accused of raping his former trainer in a federal lawsuit filed Tuesday, sources told Mark Maske of The Washington Post.If placed on the list, Brown would be paid but wouldn't be eligible to play or practice. It's unclear whether the league will make a decision before New England's next game, a Sunday matchup with the Miami Dolphins. Potentially placing Brown on the list is something the NFL "is going to have to focus on," according to one of Maske's sources. The NFL has begun investigating Britney Taylor's allegations against Brown, and league leaders plan to meet Wednesday to discuss the matter.Taylor intends to meet with the NFL next week, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. The league could allow Brown to start playing for the Patriots, who officially announced his one-year deal on Monday, while the investigation plays out. In that case, the wideout could be placed on the commissioner's list at a later date.Brown denied the allegations that he sexually assaulted Taylor on three separate occasions in 2017 and 2018 through his lawyer, Darren Heitner, who tweeted that his client intends to "aggressively defend himself."In a statement, Heitner said "any sexual interaction" between Brown and Taylor "was entirely consensual."Brown's one-year contract is reportedly worth up to $15 million. It contains a $9-million signing bonus, and the Patriots apparently included a $20-million team option for 2020.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. New York Jets wide receiver Quincy Enunwa will miss the rest of the season after suffering a neck injury in the first quarter of Sunday's loss to the Buffalo Bills, head coach Adam Gase announced Wednesday.Enunwa missed the 2017 campaign after suffering the same injury in training camp. It's unclear if the wideout's career is in jeopardy, according to Brian Costello of the New York Post.In 2018, the 27-year-old bounced back from his lost season to rack up 38 catches, 449 yards, and one touchdown during 11 appearances. New York rewarded him with a four-year contract extension in December. The Jets reportedly acquired receiver Demaryius Thomas from the New England Patriots on Tuesday, a move that makes more sense in the wake of Enunwa's absence.Thomas will act as the No. 3 behind starters Robby Anderson and Jamison Crowder, though the receiver is still working back to full health after tearing his Achilles at the end of 2018.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. The NFL Power Rankings are selected by a panel of theScore's football editors. In this edition, we leap to way-too-early conclusions after a wild first week of gridiron action.1. New England Patriots (1-0)Boston Globe / Boston Globe / GettyPrevious Rank: 1The season might as well be declared over. The reigning champions crushed the Steelers - supposedly one of their biggest challengers in the AFC - with shocking ease. Nobody will be able to prevent the Patriots from hoisting the Lombardi Trophy once again.2. Kansas City Chiefs (1-0)Previous Rank: 2The Chiefs' offense can't be stopped. Not only will Patrick Mahomes top the 50 touchdown passes he threw a year ago, but he'll also break the single-season record of 55. The Jaguars were the only team he didn't throw a TD pass against last year.3. New Orleans Saints (1-0)Previous Rank: 3New Orleans looked like a championship squad Monday night, but the refs are clearly going to throw a wrench in the Saints' Super Bowl aspirations at some point. A first-half, booth-initiated replay blunder didn't impact the outcome of the game, but it's a matter of time.4. Los Angeles Rams (1-0)Previous Rank: 4Fears about the stability of Todd Gurley's knee were unfounded. Gurley and Malcolm Brown will form a two-headed monster, with Brown scoring the touchdowns and Gurley doing all the heavy lifting between the 20s.5. Philadelphia Eagles (1-0)Icon Sportswire / Icon Sportswire / GettyPrevious Rank: 5While the 17-point comeback was fun, the Eagles' slow start versus the rebuilding Redskins shows that Philly is closer to the middle of the pack than the elite teams of the NFL.6. Baltimore Ravens (1-0)Previous Rank: 14All eyes were on Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold heading into 2019. But after shutting his doubters up with five touchdown passes, Lamar Jackson might be not only the best second-year quarterback, but also a legitimate threat to win MVP.7. Minnesota Vikings (1-0)Previous Rank: 10While the Vikings are paying Kirk Cousins like a franchise quarterback, they obviously don't view him that way after he only threw 10 passes in a blowout win over the Falcons. Head coach Mike Zimmer is going to fulfill a dream by running Dalvin Cook nearly 400 times in 2019.8. Dallas Cowboys (1-0)Previous Rank: 8The Cowboys never needed Ezekiel Elliott to win a championship because Dak Prescott is a legitimate franchise quarterback, as evidenced by his 400-yard, four-touchdown performance in a blowout of the Giants.9. Los Angeles Chargers (1-0)Previous Rank: 7Melvin Gordon who? Not only is the holdout running back expendable, Austin Ekeler is a Pro Bowl-caliber, every-down back who just needed the opportunity.10. Green Bay Packers (1-0)Stacy Revere / Getty Images Sport / GettyPrevious Rank: 15The Packers' new-look defense is championship-ready. Sure, the Mitch Trubisky-led Bears won't be the most intimidating offense Green Bay faces in 2019, but defensive coordinator Mike Pettine has all the pieces for a top-five unit.11. Houston Texans (0-1)Previous Rank: 12How's the Laremy Tunsil trade looking now? Ask Deshaun Watson, who was under siege for most of Monday Night Football. The Texans mortgaged their future to acquire a single offensive lineman who ultimately didn't solve their biggest issue. Bill O'Brien's gotta go.12. Seattle Seahawks (1-0)Previous Rank: 13Last season's breakout star Tyler Lockett needed just one catch to score a touchdown Sunday. Ever seen a receiver score a touchdown on every reception? Get ready to be wowed!13. Chicago Bears (0-1)Previous Rank: 6Mitchell Trubisky's ceiling is clear: He's a boom-or-bust passer who will never be consistent or accurate enough to be more than an average starter. Blame a lack of preseason reps all you want, but his erratic play will ultimately cost the Bears a title shot.14. Tennessee Titans (1-0)Previous Rank: 20Meet the new kings of the South. The Browns were who the Titans thought they were, but Mike Vrabel's team deserves a ton of credit for its dominant win. With Andrew Luck's retirement, Nick Foles' injury, and Marcus Mariota's improved efficiency, Tennessee's well on its way to a top-three seed in the AFC.15. Carolina Panthers (0-1)Icon Sportswire / Icon Sportswire / GettyPrevious Rank: 17Carolina had a chance to assert itself as a Super Bowl contender at home against the reigning NFC champions. The Panthers faltered, of course, continuing recent history. Christian McCaffrey is the only legitimate weapon on this offense.16. Indianapolis Colts (0-1)Previous Rank: 18A solid performance against the Chargers doesn't change the fact the Colts' season was over the moment Andrew Luck retired.17. Cleveland Browns (0-1)Previous Rank: 11Freddie Kitchens simply isn't ready to be a head coach. The Browns' talent will carry them to a handful of impressive wins, but Kitchens' inexperience and inability to cultivate a disciplined locker room will cost Cleveland a playoff spot.18. Atlanta Falcons (0-1)Previous Rank: 9Matt Ryan looked out of sync, the running game was non-existent, Dan Quinn's defense gave up big plays, and the offensive line was overmatched in a disappointing Week 1 effort. A Super Bowl season clearly isn't in the cards for the Falcons.19. Pittsburgh Steelers (0-1)Previous Rank: 16The Steelers being outcoached by the Patriots is nothing new, but Ben Roethlisberger usually keeps it interesting with a few deep bombs. Despite leading the league in passing during 2018, Big Ben's arm appeared to be in decline. Now, it seems the quarterback's days of dominating downfield are over.20. Buffalo Bills (1-0)Brett Carlsen / Getty Images Sport / GettyPrevious Rank: 22After being ignored for basically the entire first half, Devin Singletary only needed four carries, which went for 70 yards, to show that Buffalo made the right decision in releasing LeSean McCoy. The rookie will end the Bills' committee approach by the time Week 2 is over.21. San Francisco 49ers (1-0)Previous Rank: 24All Jimmy Garoppolo does is win. The young quarterback is a career 7-2 as the 49ers' starter. With magic like that, San Francisco will make the playoffs for the first time since 2013.22. Oakland Raiders (1-0)Previous Rank: 28Josh Jacobs is winning Rookie of the Year. Knock on wood if you're with us!23. Detroit Lions (0-0-1)Previous Rank: 21It'll take a few more games for people to admit it, but rookie T.J. Hockenson is already a top-five receiving tight end in the NFL.24. Arizona Cardinals (0-0-1)Previous Rank: 27Not a fan of ties? That's a shame because the Cardinals are headed for the NFL's first 0-0-16 season.25. New York Jets (0-1)Icon Sportswire / Icon Sportswire / GettyPrevious Rank: 19Jets head coach Adam Gase isn't the man who's going to make Sam Darnold a star. The young quarterback will have to wait it out while Gase is busy making enemies of both his players and the media.26. Cincinnati Bengals (0-1)Previous Rank: 29Andy Dalton had a career-high 418 yards in a close loss to the Seahawks. The quarterback was assumed to be on borrowed time in Cincinnati, but he could be primed for a mid-career renaissance under new head coach Zac Taylor (let's just call this interception one final throwback).27. Washington Redskins (0-1)Previous Rank: 26Given their relatively impressive showing against the Eagles, it's not too much of a stretch to think the Case Keenum-led Redskins can make a legitimate playoff push.28. Jacksonville Jaguars (0-1)Previous Rank: 23The Jaguars are going to be just fine without Nick Foles. Rookie Gardner Minshew displayed the poise, accuracy, and leadership of a veteran in relief of the ex-Eagles quarterback. All eyes were on Kyler Murray, but the top quarterback in the 2019 draft might've fallen to the sixth round.29. Denver Broncos (0-1)Previous Rank: 25The Drew Lock era can't begin soon enough. The Broncos are going nowhere fast until their rookie quarterback enters the fold, so Von Miller should find a way to get the hell out of dodge.30. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-1)Mike Ehrmann / Getty Images Sport / GettyPrevious Rank: 30Not even Bruce Arians can fix Jameis Winston's flaws. The former No. 1 overall pick will soon be benched again in 2019 after continuing to display spotty accuracy and poor decision-making in Week 1. At least the Bucs can start their Tank for Tua early.31. New York Giants (0-1)Previous Rank: 31Eli Manning threw for 300 yards against Dallas, showing that despite the hype for his rookie backup, the veteran remains the superior option over Daniel Jones at quarterback.32. Miami Dolphins (0-1)Previous Rank: 32Alabama and Clemson would beat this team.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. Certain content reproduced under license.

Every Monday during the season, theScore's Justin Boone runs down the recommended waiver wire pickups.Ownership percentages are based on Yahoo leagues. FAAB bids are set off a $100 budget. Only players owned in less than 60 percent of leagues are considered.QuarterbacksBrett Carlsen / Getty Images Sport / GettyJosh Allen, BillsNext UpOwnershipFAAB bidat NYG32%$1It may seem insane for me to be recommending a quarterback who turned the ball over four times in Week 1 and might have had more if defenders held on to a couple of other errant passes. However, Allen delivered in the fourth quarter with the game on the line and his rushing stats helped him finish with 16 fantasy points. Starting Allen will be a roller-coaster ride, but if he continues to use his legs, his fantasy floor remains high and his ceiling is week-winning. The Giants should also offer an easier matchup after they were decimated by Dak Prescott for 405 passing yards and four touchdowns.Sam Darnold, JetsNext UpOwnershipFAAB bidvs. CLE26%$1The streaming options at quarterback aren't overly exciting this week, but like Allen, Darnold is a one-game pickup who could turn into a full-time fantasy starter. Fortunately, he won't have to face the Bills' smothering pass defense every Sunday, though he acquitted himself well by not turning the ball over and nearly leading the Jets to a win. His next opponent - the Browns - are licking their wounds after allowing perennial underachiever Marcus Mariota to throw three touchdowns against them in Week 1.Other options: Jimmy Garoppolo at CIN (55% owned), Matthew Stafford vs. LAC (26% owned), Marcus Mariota vs. IND (7% owned)Running backsHarry How / Getty Images Sport / GettyMalcolm Brown, RamsNext UpOwnershipFAAB bidvs. NO12%$50Few players saw their fantasy stock rise more in the opener than Brown, who was given just four fewer touches than Todd Gurley. Brown also handled the majority of the red-zone work - scoring twice. Gurley didn't see a single snap when the Rams were inside the 5-yard line, and though his supporters will argue he essentially doubled Brown in playing time and yardage, we know opportunity is the more sticky stat to follow. Concerns over Gurley's arthritic knee persist, and the Rams' actions indicate they're worried as well. The first game of the season proved Brown is more than just the clear handcuff, making him a must-add as a weekly flex option with league-winning upside.Chris Thompson/Adrian Peterson, RedskinsNext UpOwnershipFAAB bidvs. DAL12%/37%$14/$14After missing his rookie season due to a torn ACL, Derrius Guice finally made his NFL debut but underwhelmed with 38 yards on 13 touches. On Monday, he had an MRI on his other knee and is now expected to miss time once again. Peterson will handle lead back duties, but with Washington projected to be trailing more often than not, Thompson is the more valuable add in PPR formats. The passing-down specialist had seven catches for 68 yards and three carries for 10 yards in Week 1.Ronald Jones, BuccaneersNext UpOwnershipFAAB bidat CAR28%$14Despite some early-game struggles, Jones was by far the most effective member of the Bucs' backfield, collecting 75 rushing yards and one catch for 18 yards. In the second half, Jones actually looked the part of an NFL back for the first time since being drafted, generating hope that the light may have turned on for him at the start of his sophomore campaign. He's worth adding to your bench to see if this becomes more than just a one-week aberration.Raheem Mostert, 49ersNext UpOwnershipFAAB bidat CIN0%$7Tevin Coleman suffered a high ankle sprain in the opener and has already been ruled out for Week 2. Matt Breida is the obvious beneficiary, but Mostert will step into the productive sidekick role in Kyle Shanahan's rushing attack. Mostert turned nine carries into 40 yards Sunday and had a touchdown nullified by a holding call. With Coleman out, Breida is an RB2 and Mostert a flex play with upside.Giovani Bernard, BengalsNext UpOwnershipFAAB bidvs. SF14%$5Joe Mixon appears to have avoided a serious ankle injury and has a shot to suit up in Week 2. If he's sidelined, Bernard would assume a workhorse role, which is exactly what happened when Mixon exited against the Seahawks on the weekend. As a starter, Bernard would be in the low-end RB2 mix.Other options: Alexander Mattison at GB (21% owned), Carlos Hyde vs. JAX (31% owned), Justin Jackson at DET (42% owned), Justice Hill vs. ARI (32% owned), Ito Smith vs. PHI (21% owned), Jaylen Samuels at NE (41% owned), Rex Burkhead at MIA (5% owned), Ryquell Armstead at HOU (2% owned)Wide receiversMark Brown / Getty Images Sport / GettyMarquise Brown, RavensNext UpOwnershipFAAB bidvs. ARI31%$19Brown flew under the radar in the preseason as the Ravens eased him back after Lisfranc surgery. Still learning the offense, Brown was limited to 12 snaps in his debut, which he maximized for 147 yards and two scores, including touchdowns of 47 and 83 yards. Baltimore is improving through the air, but its offense is run-first, which will make the rookie a more volatile fantasy weapon. Think DeSean Jackson, who has his share of monster games mixed with a fairly low floor when the deep ball doesn't hit. Regardless, Brown is in the WR3 conversation for Week 2 and needs to be owned in all leagues.John Brown, BillsNext UpOwnershipFAAB bidat NYG49%$19Brown occupied this same spot last week and yet he continues to be available in over half of leagues. Maybe his 7-123-1 stat line from Week 1 will help correct that. The 178-pound speedster is already a fan favorite in Buffalo after hauling in a 38-yard game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter on his Bills debut. The 10 targets are equally notable and a great sign of things to come. He's firmly in the WR3 ranks moving forward.DK Metcalf, SeahawksNext UpOwnershipFAAB bidat PIT38%$14Several rookies are enticing fantasy owners as potential breakout candidates on the waiver wire this week. Metcalf backed up the hype by catching four balls for 89 yards and surprisingly leading the Seahawks' receiving corps in targets Sunday. His route tree might not be expansive, but it doesn't matter - his size and speed will allow him to thrive downfield.Terry McLaurin, RedskinsNext UpOwnershipFAAB bidvs. DAL3%$9Rising snap counts for talented rookies can often foreshadow breakouts. So, while someone like A.J. Brown managed 100 yards on three receptions, it's notable that he only saw the field on 42.6% of the Titans' offensive plays. Compare that to Terry McLaurin who was a near full-time player at 92.5% in Washington. McLaurin racked up 125 yards and a touchdown on five grabs and has the makings of a boom-or-bust WR4 in his first season. Even when Dwayne Haskins eventually takes over at quarterback, the pair have a connection from their time together at Ohio State.MeCole Hardman, ChiefsNext UpOwnershipFAAB bidat OAK15%$7Tyreek Hill reportedly avoided surgery and will only miss a few weeks with his collarbone injury. That puts a slight damper on Hardman's fantasy value, though he'll be a potential flex player in deeper leagues during that time.Jamison Crowder, JetsNext UpOwnershipFAAB bidvs. CLE46%$7Normally, my recommendation is to shy away from volume-dependent slot receivers. However, Crowder makes me want to break that trend after he saw 17 targets in the opener. He also became the first wideout with 14 catches who was unable to crack the 100-yard barrier, meaning his depth of target is likely to remain extremely low. Those who speculated Crowder could eclipse 100 receptions in 2019 are feeling pretty good after Week 1, especially if they're rostering him on their PPR teams.Other options: John Ross vs. SF (9% owned), AJ Brown vs. IND (3% owned), DJ Chark at HOU (2% owned), Chris Conley at HOU (1% owned), James Washington vs. SEA (36% owned), Travis Benjamin at DET (0% owned), Parris Campbell at TEN (6% owned), Preston Williams vs. NE (2% owned), Cody Latimer vs. BUF (0% owned)Tight endsRalph Freso / Getty Images Sport / GettyT.J. Hockenson, LionsNext UpOwnershipFAAB bidvs. LAC52%$9Hockenson headlined this section last week only to go out and set the rookie record for yards by a tight end in their debut. He finished with six catches, 131 yards, and a touchdown while leading the team in receiving and tying for second with nine targets. The matchup, the game script, and overtime all helped him reach those marks, but if you don't think Hockenson has a chance to break the mold as a rookie fantasy starter at tight end, you clearly weren't watching.Darren Waller, RaidersNext UpOwnershipFAAB bidvs. KC42%$4Waller was an intriguing option when Antonio Brown was on the Raiders. With AB gone and Jon Gruden stating their offense runs through the tight end position, Waller could emerge as a low-end TE1 if he's up to the challenge.Other options: Jimmy Graham vs. MIN (48% owned), Trey Burton at DEN (57% owned), Chris Herndon - returns from suspension Week 6 (14% owned), Tyler Eifert vs. SF (9% owned), Vernon Davis vs. DAL (2% owned)Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. Kansas City Chiefs star receiver Tyreek Hill is expected to miss four-to-six weeks after injuring his collarbone in Week 1, sources told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The Chiefs reportedly don't plan to place Hill on injured reserve. With Hill sidelined, Sammy Watkins will likely take over the No. 1 receiver role. The veteran caught a career-high 198 yards and three touchdowns in a blowout win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.Rookie wideout Mecole Hardman's role is also primed to expand. Like Hill, the second-round pick has game-breaking speed. He should become Patrick Mahomes' top downfield weapon until the three-time Pro Bowler is ready to return.Hill inked a reported three-year, $54-million extension with Kansas City days before the season opener. Warning: Story contains sensitive materialNew England Patriots receiver Antonio Brown has been accused of raping his former trainer, according to a federal lawsuit filed Tuesday, reports Ben Shpigel of The New York Times. The lawsuit states Brown sexually assaulted the woman, Britney Taylor, on three separate occasions.Taylor alleges two assaults occurred in June 2017. Brown first exposed himself and kissed her without permission, according to the lawsuit, before masturbating behind her and ejaculating on her back later that month. He allegedly continued to brag about the second incident in text messages, which were included in the lawsuit filing. The lawsuit states the two ended their working relationship following those incidents. Brown attempted to apologize several months later and though she refused at first, Taylor was eventually "swayed by his assurance that he would cease any sexual advances," according to the lawsuit. The third incident described in the filing occurred in May 2018, when Taylor alleges the 31-year-old Brown "forcibly" raped her."As a rape victim of Antonio Brown, deciding to speak out has been an incredibly difficult decision," Taylor said in a statement. "I have found strength in my faith, my family, and from the accounts of other survivors of sexual assault."The lawsuit also included a series of emails and text messages Brown allegedly sent Taylor detailing the incidents:

Rookies don't get a second chance to make a first impression in the NFL. Here, we evaluate the debut performances of every 2019 first-round pick.1. Kyler Murray, QB, CardinalsGrade: BThe draft's top selection endured a shaky first three quarters, but came on strong late in his debut game. Nerves may have contributed to the typically accurate Murray missing passes early in the contest. Rookie head coach Kliff Kingsbury - who admitted after the game that he called "three quarters of the worst offense I've ever seen" - certainly didn't set the former two-sport star up for success. But Murray found his pinpoint accuracy in the fourth quarter and helped the Cardinals rally from an 18-point deficit to tie the Lions in overtime. His final stat line - 29 of 54 for 308 yards with two touchdowns and one interception - offers just a small taste of what's to come.2. Nick Bosa, DE, 49ersIcon Sportswire / Icon Sportswire / GettyGrade: AFinally healthy, Bosa looked every bit the part of the first defensive player taken in the draft. Playing against a porous Buccaneers offensive line, the pass-rusher totaled one sack, two tackles, two quarterback hits, and two hurries. He managed to affect the game on only 38 total snaps.3. Quinnen Williams, DL, JetsGrade: C-Widely viewed as the most disruptive defensive force in the 2019 draft, Williams was a non-factor during his first NFL action, failing to collect a single stat in a loss to the Bills. The defensive tackle was knocked out of the game with an ankle injury in the fourth quarter and was seen in a walking boot afterward.4. Clelin Ferrell, DE, RaidersGrade: ADerided as a major reach, the Raiders' decision to add Ferrell with the No. 4 pick is paying dividends already. The former Clemson standout notched his first career sack in the fourth quarter Monday night, fighting through a pair of Broncos blockers to do it. Ferrell's final stat line included two quarterback hits and a tackle for loss.5. Devin White, LB, BuccaneersGrade: C+White played through tonsillitis to record six tackles in his first game in the pros. Selected to slow the likes of Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara in the NFC South, the LSU product struggled in pass coverage, allowing receptions on all six of the passes against him and giving up 55 yards after the catch. He also managed zero pressures on his eight pass-rush attempts.6. Daniel Jones, QB, GiantsSteven Ryan / Getty Images Sport / GettyGrade: C-Jones starred in the preseason, but the quarterback was limited to just mop-up duty in Sunday's loss to the Cowboys. He completed 3 of 4 passes for 17 yards and lost a fumble while running for a first down. Turnovers are, of course, never good. But you can't blame the sixth overall pick too much for pressing to make a play (unlike a lot of other Giants players in the blowout defeat).7. Josh Allen, DE, JaguarsGrade: BAllen finished his debut with three hurries and one quarterback hit as his team played from behind for most of the game, which limited his pass-rush opportunities. He also took down Patrick Mahomes on a play that was negated by a penalty. Allen's athleticism popped off the screen at times, but so did some areas in need of improvement - including two missed tackles.8. T.J. Hockenson, TE, LionsGrade: A+Hockenson gets the easiest A-plus after a record-breaking start to his career. On six catches, the former Iowa standout racked up the most receiving yards (131) for a debuting tight end since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger, and added a touchdown for good measure. A matchup nightmare at 6-foot-5 and 247 pounds, Hockenson already looks like the star tight end the Lions have long been searching for.9. Ed Oliver, DT, BillsGrade: B+A menace in the middle, Oliver was disruptive throughout the Bills' come-from-behind win over the Jets. The top-10 pick recorded two tackles, one quarterback hit, four hurries, and an epic hip toss of a Jets offensive lineman.10. Devin Bush, LB, SteelersAdam Glanzman / Getty Images Sport / GettyGrade: BOnce again, the Steelers' defense had no answer for Tom Brady and Co. But Bush was one of the lone bright spots in Pittsburgh's 33-3 loss on Sunday Night Football. The linebacker showcased top-level instincts in run defense, racking up 11 total tackles. However, his debut was marred somewhat by his struggles in coverage. The rookie allowed five of his eight targets to be caught for 54 yards, per PFF.11. Jonah Williams, OT, BengalsGrade: IncompleteWilliams is on the physically unable to perform list with a shoulder injury.12. Rashan Gary, LB, PackersGrade: CGary got on the field for a mere six snaps in his pro debut, but registered two pressures in limited action. More reps are likely in his future.13. Christian Wilkins, DT, DolphinsGrade: B-Wilkins was credited with four tackles against the Ravens and had noticeably better speed off the snap than his linemates, though perhaps that's not saying much considering the overall dearth of talent on the Dolphins' defense. It's not hard to envision Wilkins blossoming into one of the league's premier interior defenders.14. Chris Lindstrom, G, FalconsGrade: BThe rookie guard acquitted himself well against a stiff Vikings defensive line. Lindstrom surrendered zero pressures in pass protection during his 45 plays on the field. Unfortunately for the Falcons, he was placed on injured reserve after the game with a broken bone in his foot.15. Dwayne Haskins, QB, RedskinsGrade: IncompleteHaskins backed up starter Case Keenum in Week 1.16. Brian Burns, DE, PanthersJacob Kupferman / Getty Images Sport / GettyGrade: BBurns was one of the preseason's standout rookies, racking up four sacks. The pass-rusher wasn't able to get his first real QB takedown against the Rams' stout offensive line, but was given the starting nod and had two pressures. Burns also showed off his burst by blowing up Robert Woods in the backfield for a loss.17. Dexter Lawrence, DL, GiantsGrade: CLawrence's first test came against arguably the NFL's top offensive line, so expectations must be tempered. However, it's fair to say his early returns don't show much. The defensive lineman played only 28 snaps and registered just one tackle with zero quarterback pressures.18. Garrett Bradbury, C, VikingsGrade: BBradbury was put in a tough spot, playing opposite Grady Jarrett for his welcome-to-the-NFL moment. While Jarrett made him look the part of a rookie on occasion, Bradbury also helped lead the way on a Dalvin Cook touchdown run. The center fumbled - and recovered - one snap and allowed one quarterback pressure. His pass protection wasn't tested much as the Vikings threw the ball only 10 times.19. Jeffery Simmons, DT, TitansGrade: IncompleteSimmons is on the reserve/non-football injury list as he continues to recover from ACL surgery.20. Noah Fant, TE, BroncosAlika Jenner / Getty Images Sport / GettyGrade: DHockenson and Fant became the first two tight ends from the same school to go in the first round of the same draft, but their debuts couldn't have been any different. Fant caught just two of his five targets for 29 yards, drew multiple costly penalties, and missed a key run block late in the third quarter while Denver was attempting a comeback.21. Darnell Savage Jr., S, PackersGrade: B+The Packers deployed their young safety in a variety of ways against the Bears. Savage finished with three tackles and a pass deflected, also recording multiple quarterback pressures and nearly making his first interception. Though three of the four passes thrown at Savage were completed, he limited those receptions to 17 total yards.22. Andre Dillard, OT, EaglesGrade: CThe second offensive tackle selected in the draft only played four snaps. Such is life playing behind stud linemen in Jason Peters and Lane Johnson.23. Tytus Howard, OL, TexansGrade: IncompleteHoward was inactive Monday despite full participation at the Texans' final practice before game day. He's recovering from a broken finger.24. Josh Jacobs, RB, RaidersGrade: AJacobs is the first running back since LaDainian Tomlinson to record more than 100 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns in his NFL debut. The Raiders bruiser was busy early and often Monday night, scoring on a two-yard plunge in the second quarter and adding a four-yard score to put the game out of reach. Jacobs averaged just 3.7 yards per carry, rushing the ball 23 times for 85 yards. At least it appears he's ready for a heavy workload.25. Marquise Brown, WR, RavensMark Brown / Getty Images Sport / GettyGrade: A+When your nickname is "Hollywood," everyone expects a show. Brown delivered just that during a beatdown of the Dolphins, exploding for two long touchdowns (47 and 83 yards, respectively) in the first quarter to kickstart the blowout. The lightning-quick wideout was on the field for just 10 passing plays in his debut but still finished with 147 yards on four catches and the aforementioned two scores. We can't wait for Brown's encore.26. Montez Sweat, LB, RedskinsGrade: BSome of the disruptive tendencies Sweat displayed in college were visible in his pro debut, with PFF crediting the Redskins pass-rusher with four stops - a stat that measures a play deemed to be a "win" for the defense, such as a tackle short of the first-down line on third down - while playing 68 percent of the team's defensive snaps.27. Johnathan Abram, S, RaidersGrade: C+The brash safety was featured plenty on "Hard Knocks" but not so much in his first game. He had five tackles, but was credited with two missed tackles and two penalties, including one for lowering his helmet to initiate contact. He wasn't targeted in coverage and managed two quarterback pressures in an up-and-down debut.28. Jerry Tillery, DT, ChargersGrade: C-Tillery played just 21 defensive snaps in the Chargers' overtime win against the Colts. Marlon Mack running rampant wasn't just on the rookie, but he assisted on only one tackle as Indy's strong interior blockers routinely blew up Los Angeles' defensive line.29. L.J. Collier, DE, SeahawksGrade: IncompleteCollier was inactive for Week 1 with an ankle injury.30. Deandre Baker, CB, GiantsRonald Martinez / Getty Images Sport / GettyGrade: DIt was a day to forget for Baker, who was routinely the victim of Dallas' new-look passing attack. The cornerback didn't allow a single touchdown in his final two years at Georgia but was quickly shown that the NFL is a whole different animal when Amari Cooper easily beat him for a 21-yard score. Baker also allowed a 61-yard catch-and-run by Michael Gallup.31. Kaleb McGary, OT, FalconsGrade: CMcGary played 43 snaps in his pro debut. Tested in pass protection, the rookie allowed one sack, one quarterback hit, and one hurry as the Falcons played from behind for the majority of the game. Better days are ahead.32. N'Keal Harry, WR, PatriotsGrade: IncompleteHarry is on IR with an ankle injury.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. Certain content reproduced under license.

The New England Patriots are trading wide receiver Demaryius Thomas to the New York Jets for a 2021 sixth-round pick, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.Thomas signed a one-year contract with the Patriots this offseason after tearing his Achilles late last year. He was among the team's Week 1 inactives. The veteran wideout joins his fourth team in the past year. He was traded from the Denver Broncos - where he spent the first eight-plus seasons of his career - to the Houston Texans last October.Thomas caught 59 passes for 677 yards and five touchdowns in 2018, his lowest overall output since 2011.The 31-year-old was deemed expendable in New England with a deep receiving corps and the arrival of Antonio Brown. Congratulations on making it to Week 2.If you followed this column's picks last week, you survived the first, and toughest, week of the season without breaking a sweat. The New Orleans Saints enjoyed an effortless win Monday night, just as predicted. From start to finish, it was incredibly comfortable. Never in doubt. I guess that's why they call it the Big Easy!Let's go in search of more easy winners with this breakdown of the Week 2 slate.Safest pick: Baltimore RavensThe Baltimore Ravens lead the NFL in yards, points, first downs, yards per play, turnover differential, time of possession, and fake punts attempted. If only they could play the Miami Dolphins every week.Oh, they play the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2? Close enough. The Cards were a trainwreck for 50 minutes against the Detroit Lions. Their late comeback was more of a testament to Matt Patricia's coaching - and time management deficiencies - than the Cardinals' offensive ability. Kyler Murray should have a bright NFL future, but he looked lost for three quarters against a very average Lions secondary. Meanwhile, his defense was picked apart by Matthew Stafford, whose 385 passing yards were more than he had in any game last season. The Lions were victims of jumping out to a big lead and closing up shop.Arizona won't be so lucky in Week 2, because John Harbaugh doesn't close up shop. Their fake punt up 35-3 in Miami is clear evidence of that. He comes at you with a callous implacability until the clock ticks to triple zeros. His brother Jim operated under the same mantra in San Francisco. Harbaughs don't let up. It's etched in stone on the front step of their family home.Since John Harbaugh began coaching the Ravens in 2008, they are 19-0 in games in which they are favored by double digits and 33-3 at home when favored by at least a touchdown, with all three of those losses coming in divisional games (further evidence for why you shouldn't pick divisional games in survivor pools). We had to sweat out the Saints in Week 1 - when is life ever easy? - but it should be a lot more comfortable with the Ravens this time around. If you're feeling lucky: Pittsburgh SteelersThe Steelers were curb-stomped Sunday night, humiliated on national television, but come into Week 2 as favorites. How?Well, the Seahawks didn't look much better, that's how. Pittsburgh lost at Foxboro against Bill Belichick, Tom Brady, and the Super Bowl champions. Seattle lucked its way into a one-point win, at home, against a Cincinnati Bengals team with just one win since last October. The Bengals had 200 more yards of offense, while Russell Wilson struggled to move the ball and was sacked five times behind an offensive line that Seahawks fans must be concerned about. And now they have to travel across the country to take on an angry Steelers team. No thanks.Pittsburgh is on a 9-0 run under Mike Tomlin as the home favorite when coming off a double-digit loss. Meanwhile, Seattle is 1-9 straight up under Pete Carroll as a road 'dog in non-conference games. The Seahawks are also 5-16 ATS under Carroll when traveling to the Eastern time zone for a 1 p.m. kickoff. The Steelers have a tough home schedule this season. This might be the spot to take them.Avoid: New England PatriotsThe New England Patriots are probably going to win this game. They're probably going to win comfortably, in fact. But this breaks two of our cardinal rules for survivor pools, with the Patriots as a road team in a divisional game. Miami is also Tom Brady's personal house of horrors.Boston Globe / Boston Globe / GettyThis isn't the same Dolphins team that has given Brady fits in years past. But this is one funky division rivalry. Remember Kenyan Drake's walk-off touchdown against the Pats last season?Brady is 7-10 in his career in Miami, with more losses there than anywhere outside New England. He's lost five of his last six games there. He's lost to Ryan Tannehill, Jay Cutler, Chad Henne, Joey Harrington, and A.J. Feeley in Miami. He's lost to Knowshon Moreno, Davone Bess, and Sammy Morris. He's lost a lot in Miami. In his career, Brady is 54-3 straight up as a double-digit favorite. Those three losses were to the Giants in Super Bowl XLII, and the Dolphins in Miami twice. Again, the Patriots should win this week, but I want no part of this rivalry when I can sit back and watch the Ravens dismantle the Cards.HOME (SPREAD)AWAYWINNER (SAFETY RANKING)Baltimore (-13.5)ArizonaBAL (9)Houston (-9)JacksonvilleHOU (7)Miami (+18.5)New EnglandNE (7)Carolina (-6.5)Tampa BayCAR (6)Oakland (+9.5)Kansas CityKC (6)Pittsburgh (-3.5)SeattlePIT (5)Detroit (+3)LA ChargersLAC (3)Washington (+5)DallasDAL (3)Green Bay (-2.5)MinnesotaMIN (1)Cincinnati (-1)San FranciscoCIN (1)NY Giants (+2.5)BuffaloNYG (1)LA Rams (-3)New OrleansLAR (1)Tennessee (-3)IndianapolisIND (1)Atlanta (+1)PhiladelphiaATL (1)Denver (+1)ChicagoDEN (1)NY Jets (+2.5)ClevelandNYJ (1)Safety rankings are out of 10, based on author's picksAlex Moretto is a sports betting writer for theScore. Odell Beckham Jr. violated an NFL rule when he wore a $189,000 watch on the field in Week 1, but it appears a warning from the league office isn't enough to force the Cleveland Browns receiver to ditch the accessory.Beckham said Tuesday that he plans to wear the watch again."I'll still be wearing it," he said, according to Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot."The same way I wear it every day, at practice, I go here, I go there. I've been wearing it. Take a shower with it on. It's just on me."An NFL rule prohibits players from wearing hard objects on the field. Beckham contends that his watch "shouldn't be an issue.""You've got to look into the rulebook. It says you can't wear any hard objects. The watch is plastic," Beckham said. "But people have knee braces on that are hard and made out of metal and you don't see them taping it up. No jewelry on, so I'm good."The star wideout believes the watch wouldn't be an issue if it was worn by a different player, and added that he'd prefer the attention be directed at his play on the field.Beckham caught seven passes for 71 yards on 11 targets in the Browns' 43-13 blowout loss to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. The New England Patriots will welcome Antonio Brown to their famously no-nonsense locker room after a summer of drama for the former Oakland Raiders wide receiver. Some believe the issues that caused Brown's departure from both the Raiders and Pittsburgh Steelers will inevitably resurface in New England, but Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has experiencing dealing with star wideouts who are associated with off-field question marks. When asked Tuesday about why he's confident Brown can change his tune, Belichick pointed to another Hall of Fame-caliber receiver who left Oakland for New England after his fair share of drama."It's the same thing you guys said about Randy Moss when we brought him in," said Belichick, according to Tom E. Curran of NBC Sports Boston.Like Brown, Moss joined the Patriots after an unhappy stint with the Raiders from 2005 to 2006.Many feared the wideout wouldn't fit well with the "Patriot Way," but those worries were soon after quelled, as Moss caught an NFL-record 23 receiving touchdowns and was second in the league in receiving yards (1,493) in his first season in New England.Moss recorded back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons - the last of his storied career - in 2008 and 2009 before leaving the Patriots. The now-ESPN analyst recently advised Brown not to waste such an opportunity with more off-field distractions."You're with the GOAT head coach. You're with the GOAT quarterback. It's time to put up or shut up," said Moss, according to Cindy Boren of boston.com. "I don't know if this is his last stop or not, but he's playing for one-year deals. I just want the man to play football."New England signed Brown to a reported one-year, $15-million contract that also contains a team option for 2020 valued at $20 million. While the NFL world was captivated by Brown's exits from Pittsburgh and Oakland, Belichick isn't concerning himself with the receiver's past actions."I wasn't in either of those places so I can't comment on what did or didn't happen there," said Belichick, according to Karen Guregian of the Boston Herald.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. Indianapolis Colts receiver Devin Funchess will be placed on injured reserve after the offseason acquisition underwent surgery to repair a clavicle, the club announced Monday.Funchess suffered the injury during the Colts' season-opening loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.Head coach Frank Reich said the injury is "definitely not season-ending." NFL rules state a player designated to the IR can return to team practices after six weeks and return to game action after eight weeks."We really love Devin," said Reich. "Just felt like there was a growing chemistry between he and Jacoby (Brissett) - Jacoby really likes throwing him the ball; he's a big, strong guy."Funchess caught three passes for 32 yards in the loss. He nearly came down with what would have been the game-winning touchdown but landed on his shoulder out of bounds, which caused the injury.Reich said he plans to go with a committee approach behind Pro Bowl No. 1 receiver T.Y. Hilton, with youngsters Chester Rogers, Deon Cain, Parris Campbell, and Zach Pascal getting more reps while Funchess remains sidelined.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. The New York Giants announced receiver Sterling Shepard suffered a concussion during the team's season-opening loss to the Dallas Cowboys, according to NJ.com's Matt Lombardo.Shepard entered the NFL's concussion protocol, clouding his status for Week 2's matchup with the Buffalo Bills. The Oklahoma product was expected to make significant strides in his fourth year after Odell Beckham Jr. was shipped out in the offseason. However, Shepard has struggled with injuries, just recently working his way back from a broken thumb that forced him to miss part of training camp. With recent addition Golden Tate on a PED-related suspension for the first four weeks of the season, any time Shepard might miss would put the G-Men in a bind at receiver. The next men up at the position would be Cody Latimer and Bennie Fowler, neither of whom has ever taken on a prominent role over the course of their careers.Shepard contributed six receptions for 42 yards during Sunday's blowout loss. In 2018, he put up 65 grabs for 683 yards and a career-high eight scores in a secondary role.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. Certain content reproduced under license.

Will Brown be on the team to cash that check? And, perhaps more importantly, will he live up to the billing before then? Here are some prop bets posted Monday on Brown's possible stats and roster status:Week 2 prop bets

The San Francisco 49ers opened training camp with a crowded backfield, but those options have dwindled rapidly. The team's running back depth chart took another hit during Sunday's season-opening win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers when free-agent acquisition Tevin Coleman went down with what head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed Monday as a high ankle sprain, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.Shanahan said Coleman will likely miss the team's Week 2 matchup Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, but added that he'll be week-to-week afterward, according to the San Jose Mercury's Cam Inman. The 49ers coach also downplayed the possibility of the tailback ending up on injured reserve. In Week 1, the fifth-year veteran contributed six carries for 23 yards on the ground and two catches for another 33 yards through the air. Fellow running backs Matt Breida and Raheem Mostert handled backfield snaps in Coleman's absence against Tampa Bay.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn announced on Monday that first-round rookie guard Chris Lindstrom is headed to the injured reserve.Lindstrom will undergo surgery to repair the small broken bone in his foot that he suffered during the Falcons' Week 1 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.Under NFL rules, Lindstrom would be eligible to return to practice in Week 8 and to game action by Week 10. In the meantime, he's expected to wear a walking boot for approximately eight weeks, a source told the NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. The Falcons made their offensive line a priority during the draft in April, taking Lindstrom with the 14th overall pick before trading up to snag right tackle Kaleb McGary with the 31st.Quarterback Matt Ryan told Pelissero last week that he considers Lindstrom to be one of the team's two biggest difference-makers going into the 2019 campaign. Six-year veteran Jamon Brown will step in for Lindstrom as the Falcons' starting right guard.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. Certain content reproduced under license.

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Nick Foles will head to the injured reserve after undergoing surgery on his broken clavicle Monday, head coach Doug Marrone announced, according to Michael DiRocco of ESPN.By rule, Foles is required to miss at least eight weeks. The Jaguars will then have the option of using one of their two IR-return spots on the veteran.Marrone said he expects Foles to return at some point this season. The loss of Foles is a huge blow to the Jaguars, who gave the passer a four-year, $88-million contract in free agency to be the final piece of their talented roster. With Foles sidelined for half the season at minimum, Jacksonville will turn to rookie Gardner Minshew as its new starter. The sixth-round pick impressed after taking over in the first quarter Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs, completing 22-of-25 passes for 275 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in the 40-26 loss."I feel better about him now, today, after Week 1 than I did probably during the preseason. I think that's fair to say. I think the work during the preseason was able to get him ready for things like this. I don't know, I'm hoping that's the case," head coach Doug Marrone said, according to Forbes' Debbi Taylor.Marrone added, "It's very difficult for any backup quarterback to go out there because they don't take any reps during the week. He didn't take any reps against Kansas City's defense and went out there and performed."The Jaguars reportedly acquired quarterback Josh Dobbs from the Pittsburgh Steelers to serve as Minshew's new backup.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. Washington Redskins running back Derrius Guice is set to miss time after undergoing an MRI on his knee, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.Guice tore his ACL last season, but this injury is to the other knee. The Redskins reportedly hope Guice won't need surgery. The sophomore hurt the same knee in college, added Rapoport.Guice was ineffective during Washington's season-opening loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, recording just 18 yards on 10 carries. An infection that reportedly required him to undergo three additional procedures delayed Guice's rehabilitation from the season-ending injury last year. With the 2018 second-round pick sidelined, the Redskins will likely turn back to Adrian Peterson. The 34-year-old was a healthy inactive against the Eagles for the first time in his likely Hall of Fame career. Some Redskins veterans were angry about the team not dressing Peterson, a source told ESPN's John Keim.Peterson took over for Guice last season, racking up 1,042 yards and seven touchdowns.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. The Jacksonville Jaguars have traded a 2020 fifth-round pick to the Pittsburgh Steelers for quarterback Josh Dobbs, the teams announced on Monday. The move comes after Jaguars starting pivot Nick Foles broke his clavicle Sunday versus the Kansas City Chiefs. The injury left rookie Gardner Minshew as the only quarterback on Jacksonville's roster.Dobbs was third on the Steelers' quarterback depth chart, behind Ben Roethlisberger and Mason Rudolph. He was Pittsburgh's fourth-round pick in 2017 and has appeared in just five games while playing in mop-up duty.Minshew will remain the Jaguars' starting quarterback for now, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The 2019 sixth-round pick impressed after taking over for Foles on Sunday, completing 22 of his 25 pass attempts for 275 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. The Jaguars lost their season opener 40-26 and will visit the Houston Texans in Week 2.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. Cleveland Browns wideout Odell Beckham Jr. had people talking after debuting with his new team, and not about what he did on the field. Instead, a curious wardrobe choice generated chatter.During his squad's embarrassing 43-13 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, Beckham decided to sport a $350K Richard Mille watch on the field, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. On Monday, Rapoport also reported that OBJ's pricey accessory landed him in trouble with the league. The watch violated a rule prohibiting hard objects being worn, though there are no restrictions for other jewelry. The league reportedly plans to discuss the issue with both the player and team, though further punitive action is unlikely. The three-time Pro Bowler finished with seven receptions on 11 targets for 71 yards on Sunday. Cleveland will look to bounce back next week when Beckham returns to his old stomping grounds at MetLife Stadium to take on the Jets.Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved.
