It's one of those plays that will be etched in the memories of NFL fans - and bettors - for years. For those who bought the Bills early as 2-point underdogs, Sunday's contest was hard to stomach after Buffalo had seemingly iced the game with 34 seconds left. Instead, on the final play from scrimmage, Kyler Murray worked his magic as seemingly only he can:

Sunday Rundown recaps the most important developments from the day's action and examines the significance of those events moving forward.Murray-Hopkins magic Christian Petersen / Getty Images Sport / GettyWhere else to begin than with Kyler Murray, DeAndre Hopkins, and the Hail Mary that lifted the Arizona Cardinals past the Buffalo Bills in what promised to be the most fun game of the weekend? That thrilling finish - as wild and improbable as it was - was really just the nightcap to another outstanding performance by Murray, Hopkins, and the Cardinals. They’ve now won four of their last five and have scored at least 30 points in all five of those games. If it seems like Arizona plays high-scoring heart-stoppers like this every week, that’s probably because the Cardinals have played high-scoring heart-stoppers in each of their last three games. It’ll be a footnote to the Murray-to-Hopkins play, but Bills QB Josh Allen marched his team 78 yards in 12 plays and staked Buffalo to a 30-26 lead with 34 seconds remaining on a terrific 21-yard touchdown pass to Stefon Diggs. The fact that those efforts weren't enough is a testament to the kind of sky's-the-limit potential Murray keeps displaying with both his legs and his arm.Murray seemed to be the perfect fit for head coach Kliff Kingsbury's college-style offense, but he's also taking that expectation to another level with an all-world talent like Hopkins as his top target. The fallout? Arizona's win combined with the Los Angeles Rams' win against the Seattle Seahawks means the Cardinals, Rams, and Seahawks are all 6-3 and locked in a three-way tie atop the NFC West. And, oh, the Cardinals visit the Seahawks on Thursday night in a rematch of the overtime barn burner from Week 7. It's a reason to tune into Thursday Night Football and to stay up until the end.The AFC East is officially a race Mark Brown / Getty Images Sport / GettyThere are repercussions from Buffalo's shocking loss, too. The Bills, which have a bye coming up, are now just half a game ahead of the red-hot Miami Dolphins, winners of five straight. After 20 years of getting rolled by the New England Patriots in the AFC East, both teams appear to have perfectly timed their ascents in the right year. Now it looks like they might battle each other for the division crown.Buffalo has an early-season win over the Dolphins in hand and the two teams will meet again in South Florida in Week 17 - possibly with the division title and serious playoff positioning on the line. But this is what their respective schedules look like between now and then:Week No.Bills (7-3)Dolphins (6-3)11Byeat Broncos (3-6)12Chargers (2-7)at Jets (0-9)13at 49ers (4-6)Bengals (2-6-1)14Steelers (9-0)Chiefs (8-1)15at Broncos (3-6)Patriots (4-5)16at Patriots (4-5)at Raiders (6-3)Buffalo's opponents in the next six weeks are a combined 22-24. Miami's are 23-30-1.Here come the Raiders Ethan Miller / Getty Images Sport / GettyThe Las Vegas Raiders beat up the Denver Broncos and have now won four of five to sit two games behind the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West. The Raiders are doing it all with their unheralded defense, which is ranked 30th in DVOA largely because the unit played so poorly earlier in the season. But Vegas hasn't allowed more than 26 points in its last three games thanks in part to players like linebacker Nicholas Morrow - a one-time undrafted free agent who had a sack, two quarterback hits, two passes defensed, and a forced fumble on Sunday. The Raiders happen to be the only team to beat the Chiefs this season. Lo and behold, they face them again next Sunday night in Vegas. What's up with Drew Brees? Chris Graythen / Getty Images Sport / GettyAt last at full strength, Drew Brees and the Saints looked like they were all set to ride into the second half of the season as one of the league's best teams. But then Brees pulled himself from the second half of Sunday's win against the San Francisco 49ers due to a rib injury. Uh oh.It's too soon to tell how severe the injury is and how much it might affect Brees in the days and weeks ahead, but media reports indicate it might not be all that great.
Carolina Panthers quarterback Teddy Bridgewater exited Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and didn't return due to a knee injury.Head coach Matt Rhule didn't have an update on Bridgewater immediately following the contest, according to ESPN's David Newton. Bridgewater will have an MRI, but the injury isn't believed to be serious, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The quarterback suffered the injury when Buccaneers pass-rusher Jason Pierre-Paul sacked him late in the fourth quarter.
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees will have an MRI and X-Ray after suffering a rib injury during Sunday's 27-13 win over the San Francisco 49ers, head coach Sean Payton announced, according to Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football.The Saints played the entire second half against the 49ers with Jameis Winston at quarterback, while the team listed Brees as questionable. The veteran signal-caller completed 8 of 13 pass attempts for 76 yards and one touchdown before being sidelined at halftime. He was seen on the sidelines with his helmet on but didn't return for the contest."I was not going to be able to be effective," Brees said of his injury postgame. He took a big hit from 49ers defensive lineman Kentavius Street in the first half but remained in the game.
The New Orleans Saints are facing significant discipline for not wearing masks during postgame celebrations in their locker room following last Sunday's 38-3 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.Video of Saints players and head coach Sean Payton dancing without masks went viral, including since-deleted ones posted to the team's official account.

A rundown of the best games and most interesting trends for Week 10 of the NFL. All times Eastern.Marvelous matchupBills (7-2) at Cardinals (5-3), 4:05 p.m.Hey, look, it's a matchup involving a couple of dynamic, big-play quarterbacks who possess an ability to scramble and make plays outside the pocket. This ought to be entertaining.Buffalo's Josh Allen and Arizona's Kyler Murray have their issues with consistency, but when they're on, they can put on quite a show. The Bills went pass-heavy in the first half last week against Seattle, and they shot out to a 24-7 lead. Allen finished with 415 passing yards, with seven pass-catchers hauling in a reception of 20 yards or more, which is something that hadn't happened in the NFL in five years. Allen also ran for a TD.The Cardinals lost their barn burner Sunday to the Dolphins, but Murray did a little bit of everything, including passing for 283 yards and rushing for 106 more. He's on pace to rush for more than 1,000 yards this season. Both teams also have terrific receiving threats in Stefon Diggs (Bills) and DeAndre Hopkins (Cardinals), which means that in this season of record scoring, this game certainly seems likely to do its part.Pressure releaseSeahawks (6-2) at Rams (5-3), 4:25 p.m.When pressured by the defensive rush, Jared Goff's passer rating is 36.7, per PFF. Only Drew Lock (32.7) and Baker Mayfield (29.8) are worse. When not pressured, Goff's passer rating is a robust 114.2, which ranks 10th. Mark Brown / Getty ImagesThe Seattle Seahawks only generate pressure 20.4% of the time, according to Pro Football Reference, which ranks 22nd in the NFL. The Seahawks have also given up the fourth-most yards after the catch in the league (1,141), while the Los Angeles Rams rank second in YAC per completion (5.7).What I'm getting at is that this appears to be a bad matchup for Seattle, though that ought to create lots of opportunities for hero ball from Russell Wilson. What are they waiting for?Bengals (2-5-1) at Steelers (8-0), 4:25 p.m.In their last two games, the Pittsburgh Steelers came from behind to beat Baltimore and Dallas on the road. They did it by spreading teams out and having Ben Roethlisberger work with a quicker tempo while playing what The Athletic's Mark Kaboly has described as "backyard football."The question, then, is why don't the Steelers let Roethlisberger play like this all the time?Rookie QB battle alertChargers (2-6) at Dolphins (5-3), 4:05 p.m.Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers is 1-6 as a starter, but you wouldn't know it by the way he plays. Herbert has a better Total QBR than Tom Brady, Lamar Jackson, Roethlisberger, and Philip Rivers; he's just stuck playing for the Chargers, who never seem to earn a lead they can't squander. This week, Herbert is faced with an intriguing matchup against a Miami defense that's ranked eighth in DVOA against the pass. Also, Herbert's quarterbacking counterpart will be Tua Tagovailoa, who was drafted one spot ahead of him and is already being anointed as the Next Big Thing even though he's attempted only 52 passes. Chris Coduto / Getty ImagesTagovailoa provided a thrilling glimpse of his dual-threat potential in last week's joyride of a victory against the Cardinals. Herbert, too, has flashed greatness since he replaced Tyrod Taylor in Week 2. The next most interesting thing about the Chargers is to see what they might come up with to blow another close game. This doesn't seem fairJaguars (1-7) at Packers (6-2), 1 p.m.The Jaguars are ranked dead last in defensive DVOA, pass defense DVOA, and pass defense DVOA on first down, per Football Outsiders. They're also last in dropback expected points added per play according to Ben Baldwin's database. That's quite a feat! It's also less than ideal when having to play Aaron Rodgers, Davante Adams, and the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau in November. You've been warned:
The Philadelphia Eagles are set to welcome back some key starters Sunday.Running back Miles Sanders, wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, and right tackle Lane Johnson will be active against the New York Giants.

He posted over 30 fantasy points in two of his last three outings, including one against the Giants, who he'll face again this week.Boone's projection: 291 passing yards, 3 TDs, 19 rushing yardsOther QBs to start
The New England Patriots are in an unfamiliar position at the season's halfway point, sitting at 3-5 and third in the AFC East behind the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins. Some believe New England's woes are partially due to poor recent drafting, but head coach Bill Belichick strongly pushed back against that notion Friday."I'd say the most important thing to me is winning games," Belichick said, according to Nick O'Malley of Mass Live. "I'm not gonna apologize for our record over the last 20 years. I've seen a lot worse."Belichick seemingly signaled his displeasure when asked about the Patriots' recent draft history with an awkward pause:
The New Orleans Saints' 38-3 obliteration of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last Sunday served as something of a reminder: Don't forget the Saints are one of the NFL's best teams. Before last week's win, it had been tricky to get a read on New Orleans for a few reasons.Yes, the Saints were 5-2, but they had started 1-2 and were giving up an average of 28.1 points per game. Yes, they had won four straight, but all four of those victories came against sputtering teams, and twice they needed overtime to get it done. Yes, quarterback Drew Brees played multiple games without Michael Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders - two of his top receivers - but it seemed he'd padded his stats with a lot of short throws. Then came last week, when New Orleans played one of the best games authored by any team in recent memory. No, really. According to Football Outsiders' DVOA metric - a per-play measurement that factors in game situations and opponents - the Saints played the best game of any team this century and the fifth-best since 1985. That's a heckuva win.The victory also secured a season sweep of the Buccaneers - no small matter for conference seeding, especially since the race for the NFC South title is shaping up to be a two-team affair. In fact, if the season were to end right now, the Saints would be the NFC's No. 1 seed. The Los Angeles Rams would be the No. 7 seed, which goes to the final playoff qualifier. The Rams are just one game worse than New Orleans in the standings. Icon Sportswire / Getty ImagesThe Saints obviously won't play as well they did against the Buccaneers every week, but Sunday's beatdown did reveal how dangerous their offense can be when operating at something close to full strength. With Thomas and Sanders back in the lineup, Brees no longer had to rely so heavily on running back Alvin Kamara.Kamara's 60 receptions are tied for third-most in the league, regardless of position. But 542 of his 565 receiving yards have come after the catch - far and away the most in the NFL, according to Sports Info Solutions. And, according to Next Gen Stats, Brees' average depth of throw (5.8 yards) is the lowest in the league. He's attempted just seven deep throws (20 air yards or more) all year.A few weeks back, I openly mused whether it might be time to worry about Brees, given how reliant he'd become on short, quick throws. That thought might have been premature, if not completely misguided. On intermediate-range throws (10-19 air yards), Brees has 42 completions on 67 attempts in 2020. He's ninth in the league in both of those categories, according to Sports Info Solutions - hardly indicative of the work of a Checkdown Charlie. What's becoming clear is that in the context of the Saints' offense - and particularly when he has a full complement of pass-catchers -Brees is making things work. Take a look at this passing grid from Sunday night:NFL NextGen Stats Brees completed throws to 12 different targets last week. He was sacked just once and hit only three times. And he did all this against a defense that entered the game as the league's most efficient unit - both overall and against the pass.Defensively, the Saints exploited the absence of Buccaneers left guard Ali Marpet to get plenty of pressure on Tom Brady. Of course, Brady is renowned for getting rid of the ball faster than pass-rushers can get to him. But even that proved tough thanks to the work of New Orleans' linebackers and secondary; those players allowed others like defensive end Trey Hendrickson to get at Brady without help from additional blitzers.
