Frank Clark is reuniting with the Seattle Seahawks. The veteran pass-rusher is set to sign with the Seahawks, head coach Pete Carroll confirmed Wednesday, according to team reporter John Boyle.Clark, who played his first four NFL seasons with the NFC West club, told Josina Anderson of CBS Sports that he's flying to Seattle for a visit with the team. The 30-year-old generated interest from multiple teams but opted to return to the city where his NFL career started on a one-year deal, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The Kansas City Chiefs were among the clubs linked to him.Carroll added that Clark is expected to play Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, according to Gregg Bell of the Tacoma News Tribune.Clark began the 2023 season with the Denver Broncos, who released him on Oct. 13 after failing to find a trade partner. He's appeared in only two games this year.Seattle recently began looking for defensive help up front after linebacker Uchenna Nwosu went down with a pec injury. The Seahawks drafted Clark in the second round in 2015. He racked up 35 sacks in 62 games with the team - including a career-high 13 in 2018 - before being traded to the Chiefs. The Michigan product then earned three Pro Bowl berths during his four-season stint in Kansas City.Clark has also made a big impact in the playoffs, having racked up 13.5 career postseason sacks - the second-most in NFL history. He won two Super Bowl trophies with the Chiefs.Copyright (C) 2023 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. Certain content reproduced under license.

Michael Pittman Jr. admits he was being a tad dramatic when he questioned whether he was a big part of the Indianapolis Colts' offense following Sunday's 39-38 loss to the Cleveland Browns."Obviously it was a very frustrating loss the way that it happened," Pittman said, according to ESPN's Stephen Holder. "And I've never been a good loser. I'm actually a very poor sport. It's something that I've been working on my whole life, and it's just hard for me sometimes. And when you lose, sometimes you lose your composure, you lose your head. And I think I was a little dramatic when I said that."Pittman was targeted only five times in the defeat. He caught two passes for 83 yards, with 75 of those yards coming on a touchdown."They just didn't target me today, for whatever reason. Maybe I'm not a big part of the offense," Pittman said postgame. The 26-year-old chalked up his remarks to frustration and said they don't reflect how he really feels."Obviously, I am a big part of this offense," he said. "I lead the team in targets and stuff like that. So, it was out of frustration, and I just wanted to clear up that I love playing here, that I love Indy and everything that we do here, and I'm excited for this week coming up."Pittman is on pace for his best season yet as he's averaging a career-high 69.9 yards per game. He's caught 42 balls for 489 yards and two touchdowns.Copyright (C) 2023 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. Certain content reproduced under license.

The Seahawks' Week 7 win wasn't easy per se, as the Cardinals stayed within one score for longer than anyone would have hoped. But it's hard to watch Arizona's play-calling on a late fourth down and then try to argue that the Cards are organizationally devastated by racking up losses to improve their draft standing - especially if Kyler Murray returns soon enough to accidentally win a few games in the back half of the season.Until then, we can be comfortable fading the Cardinals, regardless of where the game is played. For as far as it feels like we've come, it's seven down, 11 to go.Every week until we get knocked out, we've mapped two paths to make it to the end of the season undefeated. As long as one of our entries still stands, we'll use the moneylines for our picks to show the odds of making it the distance traveled along the path. Once we're out, though, we're out.We could provide a series of theoretical rules to follow - like never taking a road team - but the moneyline reflects a club's likelihood of winning each game. We can easily translate that into an implied win probability, listed in descending order in the chart below.Week 8 moneylinesTEAMMONEYLINEIMPLIED PROB(%).Dolphins-45081.8Lions-42581.0Chargers-42581.0Bills-42581.0Ravens-40080.0Chiefs-38079.2Eagles-30075.0Cowboys-27573.349ers-23069.7Seahawks-16562.3Texans-15560.8Jets-15060.0Jaguars-14058.3Falcons-13557.4Colts-12054.5Vikings-11553.5Packers-10551.2Saints+10050.0Titans+11546.5Steelers+12045.5Giants+13043.5Panthers+13542.6Browns+14041.7Bengals+19533.9Rams+22530.8Commanders+25028.6Broncos+30025.0Cardinals+32023.8Buccaneers+34022.7Bears+34022.7Raiders+34022.7Patriots+36021.7Survivor Path AKnocked out in Week 3. However, had we started with $10 and bet our pick on the moneyline for seven weeks, we'd have about $40 right now. Not exactly lottery-level winnings. We say there are no set rules in picking your survivor team for the week, but I'll admit that I hate picking a team that I don't like to cover the point spread. We could try to thread the needle this week by taking the Chargers at home against the Bears on Sunday night - but who wants to lay over a touchdown with the Bolts? You could hope for a Chargers win by 1-8 points, but if you think there's value in betting a close game, you'd probably prefer to include Chicago in a round-robin underdog moneyline parlay this week.Which brings us back to Baltimore again. The Ravens are healthier on the offensive line and at the offensive skill positions than a month ago. When the sun is shining and they're not facing a defense that's extremely familiar with Lamar Jackson, their talent will overwhelm lesser squads. The challenge for Baltimore is a schedule that doesn't feature many of those types of teams the rest of the way. Part of the reason we took the Ravens in Week 3 is a tough remaining home slate studded with playoff contenders - Seahawks, Browns, Bengals, Rams, Dolphins and Steelers. The matchup with the Rams projects out to a spread of just shy of a touchdown. Even though this is a road game, it's now or nevermore to use the Ravens.Pick: RavensMatt Russell is the lead betting analyst for theScore. If there's a bad beat to be had, Matt will find it. Carolina Panthers head coach Frank Reich said Wednesday that he has no regrets in drafting quarterback Bryce Young first overall over C.J. Stroud, who ended up going to the Houston Texans at No. 2.Young and Stroud face off for the first time in the NFL on Sunday when the Panthers host the Texans."We got the guy we wanted to get and couldn't be happier about that in every way," Reich said, per Joe Person of The Athletic. "I'm happy for C.J. He's had six good games, and I have no doubt he'll have many more good games. But I know this: When it comes to evaluating quarterbacks or any position, it's years, not weeks. You can't put a label on a guy after six weeks or even a year."Reich was reportedly leaning toward Stroud in the pre-draft process before Panthers general manager Scott Fitterer and his staff decided to take Young. Carolina originally had the No. 9 overall pick but eventually moved up to No. 1 after a blockbuster March trade with the Chicago Bears."My eyes and our eyes were on Bryce from start to finish," Reich said Wednesday when asked about the situation. The beginning of Young's and Stroud's pro careers have been polar opposites. The Panthers rookie, who missed one contest due to an ankle injury, has yet to win a game and has tossed 867 yards and six touchdowns against four interceptions. Meanwhile, Stroud is the front-runner for Offensive Rookie of the Year after passing for 1,660 yards and nine touchdowns to one pick through six starts. Houston is 3-3 in 2023.Young and Stroud headlined a 2023 quarterback draft class that featured three first-round QBs, as the Indianapolis Colts selected Anthony Richardson fourth overall. Richardson was recently ruled out for the remainder of the season with a shoulder injury.Copyright (C) 2023 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. Certain content reproduced under license.

Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett has purchased a minority stake in the Cleveland Cavaliers, the NBA franchise announced Wednesday.Garrett will also serve as a brand ambassador for the Cavaliers."I have admired the Cavaliers organization's hard work, tenacity and dedication to the community since my early days in Cleveland," Garrett said in a statement. "To have the opportunity to join this impressive and purpose-filled franchise, under (Dan Gilbert's) leadership, is truly a dream come true."The Browns' 2017 first-round pick, Garrett has made four Pro Bowls and recorded 82 sacks over his NFL career. He's involved in the early conversation for Defensive Player of the Year after starting the 2023 season with 7.5 sacks and a league-leading three forced fumbles through six games. The Cavaliers begin their 2023 campaign Wednesday against the Brooklyn Nets.Copyright (C) 2023 Score Media Ventures Inc. The Cleveland Browns will start quarterback P.J. Walker against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, head coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed.Deshaun Watson did not practice on Wednesday and will remain out while rehabbing a shoulder injury. Stefanski said Watson would start against the Seahawks after the team's victory over the Indianapolis Colts last week.An MRI earlier this week confirmed that there is no new structural damage to Watson's shoulder, but Stefanski said Wednesday that further swelling occurred after the Colts game, according to Scott Petrak of Browns Zone.Stefanski added that surgery is not on the table, but his shoulder is still not 100%.Watson didn't play in Weeks 4 and 6 (the team had a bye in Week 5) as a result of the shoulder ailment. He returned in Week 7, completing one pass for five yards before leaving the game following a big hit from Colts defensive end Dayo Odeyingbo.

The Tennessee Titans are preparing rookie quarterback Will Levis to start Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.Ryan Tannehill is dealing with a high ankle sprain and is unlikely to play. He suffered the injury in Week 6 but has decided not to have surgery.Tennessee head coach Mike Vrabel left the door open Tuesday for the Titans to use a two-quarterback system versus Atlanta featuring Levis and Malik Willis. Levis is expected to be the primary quarterback, according to Rapoport.Week 8 will mark Levis' NFL debut, as the second-round pick hasn't been active for a game yet this season. The 24-year-old joined the Titans as the 33rd overall pick after a standout college career at Kentucky.Willis - Tennessee's backup through the campaign's first six games - attempted 66 passes in eight appearances (three starts) as a rookie in 2022. The 24-year-old, whom the Titans drafted in the third round out of Liberty, didn't pass for any touchdowns while tossing three interceptions.Tennessee ranks 25th in scoring in 2023, averaging 17.3 points per game. The Arizona Cardinals placed tight end Zach Ertz on injured reserve due to a quad strain he suffered in Sunday's loss to the Seattle Seahawks, the team announced Tuesday. The three-time Pro Bowler will miss at least four games but is expected to return this season, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero and Mike Garafolo. The 32-year-old will miss the Cardinals' upcoming matchups against the Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, Atlanta Falcons, and Houston Texans. Arizona will likely lean even more on second-year tight end Trey McBride in Ertz's absence. Geoff Swaim and Elijah Higgins could also see more snaps.Ertz is coming off a 2022 campaign in which he only played 10 games due to a knee injury. The veteran pass-catcher is off to a slow start this season with 27 receptions for 167 yards and one touchdown through seven games. The Stanford product's 26.7 yards per game and 6.9 yards per catch this season would mark the lowest averages of his career.Ertz was a potential trade target for teams searching for a veteran tight end, and this setback will likely affect his market.Copyright (C) 2023 Score Media Ventures Inc. Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones says the team won't initiate trade conversations with other clubs before the Oct. 31 deadline."It'll have to come our way. I don't want to preclude it in any way, but it always does," Jones said, according to Logan Mullen of 105.3 The Fan in Dallas."The initiation of an opportunity to make a trade at this time that would help us principally has to start on the other end. That's not showing a lack of aggressiveness, it's just that's where it starts."He added: "I like where we are with our personnel today, so I'm not thinking in any way that we need to upgrade our roster."Dallas is currently sitting at 4-2 through seven weeks. The team is one game behind the Philadelphia Eagles, who acquired safety Kevin Byard from the Tennessee Titans on Monday. The Cowboys rank in the top five in points per game and points per game allowed. They've battled injuries at key spots, as cornerback Trevon Diggs is done for the year with a torn ACL while linebacker Leighton Vander Esch is currently on injured reserve with a neck ailment."I would really extend to improve our team right now, so that gives you an idea because I think we've got a team that is a contender," Jones said, per Mullen. "So ... would I do something that would take away from this team so that it can help us in the future? Probably not."The Cowboys will take on the Los Angeles Rams in Week 8.Copyright (C) 2023 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. Certain content reproduced under license.

It was a tough scene for the power rankings community in Week 7.The basic, ordinal rankers were appalled to find that their beloved Lions - who had flown up into the top five of rankings across the media landscape - were 3-point underdogs against the Ravens. They were in shambles when the Ravens, whom the betting market has rated higher than Detroit all season, absolutely obliterated them before you even figured out which game should go on which screen Sunday afternoon. To make matters worse, the 49ers, Dolphins, and Bills all lost somewhat convincingly, as it was a good week for those who could measure value better than buying into recent hype or distress - when it comes to the Patriots. How ratings workEvery week, we'll look at what the betting market thinks of each team based on the closing lines from that week's games. The "rating" column is an educated guess at the oddsmakers' rating to create a point spread, with the specific number being the percentage chance that the team beats an average opponent on a neutral field. Ratings aren't rankings. The closing line is considered a better reflection of a team's value than one game. The range column is my evaluation of what each team is capable of. It's our job as handicappers to determine where, within its range, a team will play based on factors like on-field matchups and roster/injury issues. The earlier it is in the season, the wider the range a team may have.Market ratings and our rangeTEAMRATINGRANGE49ers7660-80Chiefs7360-80Eagles7360-80Bills7355-75Dolphins6955-75Cowboys6860-80Ravens6650-70Lions6250-70Browns5830-60Chargers5750-70Bengals5640-75Rams5135-55Seahawks5040-60Saints4940-60Titans4835-55Vikings4735-55Packers4740-60Jaguars4645-65Steelers4540-60Raiders4130-50Buccaneers4130-50Broncos4035-55Commanders4035-55Jets4030-50Colts3925-45Falcons3835-55Texans3825-45Patriots3735-55Giants2625-45Bears2520-40Panthers2525-45Cardinals2320-40We were told Trevor Lawrence would be limited on Thursday, and he wasn't. On the field, we can blame Foster Moreau for dropping the game-tying touchdown, but the bet was effectively lost when Lawrence was seen scrambling with ease since the Saints should never have been favorites against the near-100% Jaguars quarterback. In a winning round-robin underdog moneyline parlay last week, we discussed how the Bills shouldn't be lined higher than -7, and sure enough, we got close to correct as that line crept down from 8.5 to 7.5 by kickoff - a sign that Buffalo's cracks are starting to show in the betting market. The only reaction to the Browns getting moved up to -3.5 at the Colts was, "How?" It required two huge leaps: Cleveland - with Deshaun Watson starting - being rated higher than at any point all season, and Indianapolis getting downgraded significantly after losing to Jacksonville the week before. The Browns beat the Colts, but think about everything that had to go their way for that to happen, and they still didn't cover.Tyson Bagent showed nicely for the Bears, executing rudimentary offensive plays with precision and relying on Chicago's toughness to beat the Raiders convincingly. Las Vegas' rating dropped with Brian Hoyer in for Jimmy Garoppolo. Maybe Chicago's rating shouldn't dip with its backup at the helm. What's the No. 1 hint that it's time to bet on a bad team? When their rating dips to the bottom of their previously prescribed range. With only a marginal rating bump after covering in Buffalo, the Giants covered again this week. They'll see another boost, with the battle of New Jersey lined under a field goal early this week. The biggest problem for anyone betting on the 49ers on Monday night at a point spread of -6.5 was that their rating wasn't lowered when key players Deebo Samuel and Trent Williams were ruled out. San Francisco at full strength is good enough to peak at an 80/100, but in a tough road environment, the 49ers will play to the bottom of their range and be vulnerable to an upset. With six teams on bye last week, it'll be interesting to see what the market thinks of the Cowboys, Titans, Texans, Panthers, Bengals, and Jets once the point spreads in their games are hammered into place this week. After public perception jockeyed other teams into place as the worst team in the NFL, the Cardinals have found their way back to where they started: the bottom of market power ratings.Matt Russell is the lead betting analyst for theScore. Although Daniel Jones is hoping to return for his team's Week 8 matchup with the New York Jets, the New York Giants quarterback says he's still got progress to make with his neck injury. That's the goal," Jones said Tuesday on "Up & Adams." "Still working through it and gotta continue to improve, but yeah, the goal is to play on Sunday."Jones has missed the last two games after suffering the neck ailment in Week 5.The veteran signal-caller said he's able to do everything physically but is still awaiting to be cleared for contact."I'm feeling better," said Jones. "I'm able to do everything I need to do, from a running, throwing, lifting standpoint. It's mostly a contact thing, like I've said."Tyrod Taylor has stepped up in Jones' absence, leading the Giants to victory over the Washington Commanders a week after almost knocking off the Buffalo Bills.Taylor has completed 66.3% of his passes for 571 yards and two touchdowns against zero interceptions.Prior to his injury, Jones - who signed a four-year, $160-million extension in March - struggled to continue his solid form from 2022 into this season. The 26-year-old has averaged a career-low 176.8 passing yards per game while throwing for just two scores against six picks.Despite Jones' regression and the offense's improvement under Taylor, Giants head coach Brian Daboll has insisted there'll be no quarterback controversy.Copyright (C) 2023 Score Media Ventures Inc. Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel indicated the team could go with a two-quarterback system if Ryan Tannehill can't play on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons."I would imagine that if Ryan can't play, I would anticipate both of those quarterbacks (Malik Willis and Will Levis) playing in the football game," Vrabel said, per NFL writer Paul Kuharsky.Vrabel added that Tannehill isn't using a walker for his injured ankle, and they will monitor his situation as the week progresses.Tannehill suffered the injury in Week 6 against the Baltimore Ravens. After taking Tannehill's place, Willis was sacked four times in that contest, throwing for 74 yards on five attempts.Willis has failed to provide Tennessee with competent quarterback play when called upon. After sparking belief over the first two weeks of the season that the Green Bay Packers had once again landed a franchise-caliber quarterback, Jordan Love has quickly come back down to earth. But despite the young signal-caller's struggles amid a three-game losing streak, Matt LaFleur says the Packers have complete faith in his abilities."It all works in unison ... the better everybody is around him, the better he's going to look," LaFleur said, according to Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk. "Our confidence in him is not wavering one bit."Love threw six touchdowns in Weeks 1 and 2 but has failed to hit 200 yards over the last three games while throwing for just three scores against six interceptions, including one late in the fourth quarter that sealed a 19-17 win for the Denver Broncos on Sunday."Certainly, I think, as the play-caller, you put a lot of onus on yourself when things aren't going well," LaFleur said. "We'll continue to do that, but we've got to find a way to generate more points because when you're generating points, it's just a totally different narrative."Love sat for three years behind Aaron Rodgers after being taken in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. After opting not to pick up the fifth-year option in Love's rookie deal, the Packers instead gave Love a one-year extension through the 2024 season that will pay him like a fringe starter ($22.5 million with $13.5 million guaranteed).Green Bay will look to end its losing streak at home against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 8.Copyright (C) 2023 Score Media Ventures Inc. The NFL Power Rankings are selected by a panel of theScore's football editors.1. Philadelphia Eagles (6-1) Icon Sportswire / Icon Sportswire / GettyPrevious rank: 4There's a new face at No. 1. After stomping the Dolphins in their most convincing win of the season, the Eagles went out and acquired All-Pro safety Kevin Byard.2. Kansas City Chiefs (6-1)Previous rank: 3The rest of the NFL should be on high alert because the Chiefs are rolling. Kansas City has won six straight, and Patrick Mahomes is coming off a 424-yard, four-touchdown performance Sunday.3. Baltimore Ravens (5-2)Previous rank: 7Here are the high-flying Ravens we were all expecting to see in 2023. Lamar Jackson threw for over 300 yards with four total touchdowns in a complete annihilation of the Lions, who are now 5-2.4. Miami Dolphins (5-2)Previous rank: 1In a game many thought could be a Super Bowl preview, the speedy Dolphins seemed a step behind the Eagles. Their 17 points scored during Sunday night's loss was also their lowest output of the season.5. San Francisco 49ers (5-2) Stephen Maturen / Getty Images Sport / GettyPrevious rank: 2A prime-time loss to Kirk Cousins and the Vikings paired with a second consecutive underwhelming performance from Brock Purdy doesn't look great, but this is still one of the most talented rosters in the league.6. Detroit Lions (5-2)Previous rank: 5The Lions' blowout loss to the Ravens completely derailed their momentum. However, Detroit should be able to get back on track with the NFL's second-easiest strength of schedule the rest of the way.7. Dallas Cowboys (4-2)Previous rank: 8The Cowboys should feel good coming out of their bye week with an offense that ranks top five in scoring and a defense that's allowing the fourth-fewest points per game.8. Buffalo Bills (4-3)Previous rank: 6The Bills continue putting on their best Jekyll and Hyde impression. Buffalo will need to clean up its act after losing two of the last three, with multiple turnovers in all three games.9. Jacksonville Jaguars (5-2)Previous rank: 10Christian Kirk and Travis Etienne are shining as the Jaguars finally put some distance between themselves and the rest of the AFC South thanks to a four-game win streak.10. Cincinnati Bengals (3-3) Christian Petersen / Getty Images Sport / GettyPrevious rank: 11Fans will hope Cincinnati took advantage of its bye week. The Bengals are slated to have the hardest strength of schedule from here on out.11. Seattle Seahawks (4-2)Previous rank: 12The Seahawks defeated the lowly Cardinals, but some concerns remain. Geno Smith has now tossed three interceptions and lost one fumble over the last two games.12. Cleveland Browns (4-2)Previous rank: 9Yes, a win is a win, but the Browns' victory over the Gardner Minshew-led Colts left a lot of worries. Even more concerning is the week-to-week uncertainty over Deshaun Watson's health.13. Houston Texans (3-3)Previous rank: 14After spending last week on a bye, C.J. Stroud has an opportunity to add to his rookie highlights by beating No. 1 pick Bryce Young's Panthers on Sunday.14. Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2)Previous rank: 18Another fourth-quarter shutout from the defense and another Kenny Pickett game-winning drive pushed the Steelers to an improbable 4-2.15. Los Angeles Chargers (2-4) Icon Sportswire / Icon Sportswire / GettyPrevious rank: 13The Chargers say they aren't panicking after a loss to the Chiefs dropped them to 2-4, but maybe they should. It's beginning to look like another disappointing year for Los Angeles.16. Minnesota Vikings (3-4)Previous rank: 20Cousins had one of the best prime-time games of his entire career Monday night. The victory over the 49ers may have stopped a fire sale from happening at the trade deadline.17. New York Jets (3-3)Previous rank: 16The Jets can go above .500 with a win against the 2-5 Giants next. That's a better outcome than many would've expected following the loss of Aaron Rodgers.18. Atlanta Falcons (4-3)Previous rank: 19Atlanta came away with a sloppy win against the Bucs to take over first place in the NFC South this weekend. They'll have the inside track to retain that lead with the league's easiest remaining strength of schedule.19. Los Angeles Rams (3-4)Previous rank: 15Puka Nacua continued his historic rookie campaign, but Cooper Kupp had just two catches on seven targets Sunday. The Rams will look to get back in the win column - and get their superstar involved - against the Cowboys.20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-3) Julio Aguilar / Getty Images Sport / GettyPrevious rank: 17The Bucs have failed to establish the run this season, ranking bottom five in rushing yards per game. Tampa's lack of rushing production has forced Baker Mayfield to average 34 pass attempts per contest.21. Indianapolis Colts (3-4)Previous rank: 23Minshew scored two touchdowns through the air and another pair on the ground against the Browns, but the Colts still managed to lose by a single point. That's largely thanks to gifting Cleveland 67 yards on eight penalties.22. Arizona's remaining strength of schedule is the league's second hardest - finding another win will be difficult.32. The Philadelphia Eagles are acquiring safety Kevin Byard from the Tennessee Titans, the team announced Monday. The 6-1 Eagles will send fifth- and sixth-round selections in 2024 as well as safety Terrell Edmunds in exchange.Byard has appeared in 120 games since being drafted by the Titans in the third round in 2016. He established himself as one of the NFL's most consistent safeties, having recorded 27 career interceptions, including a league-high eight in 2017.The 30-year-old has never missed a game in eight NFL seasons. He also recorded 674 tackles and 63 pass breakups while earning two Pro Bowl berths and two first-team All-Pro nods with Tennessee. In six games this season, Byard has amassed 47 tackles and allowed a 99.8 passer rating in 22 targets, according to Football Reference.Byard and the Titans were at a crossroads during the offseason after Tennessee asked the veteran defensive back to take a pay cut, which he declined. The two sides ultimately agreed on a restructured two-year contract in July that included an $11-million base salary. He's signed through the 2024 season, according to Spotrac.Byard thanked the Titans and their fans in a statement Monday."It was a dream come true to be a Tennessee Titan," he wrote. The safety position has been a priority for the Eagles this year after the team lost C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Marcus Epps, and K'Von Wallace in the offseason. The team signed Edmunds in March, but the former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive back lacked consistency with Philadelphia.Philly is also dealing with injuries at the position. Reed Blankenship missed Sunday night's win over the Miami Dolphins due to a rib ailment and Justin Evans was recently placed on injured reserve with a knee ailment.Multiple Eagles players reacted to the Byard trade on social media, including receiver A.J. Brown - a former teammate of Byard - and cornerback Darius Slay.

With Myles Garrett and the Browns on tap in Week 9, it seems far more likely Murray will make his season debut versus the Falcons a week later. While his rushing production could take a hit in his first season back from a torn ACL, Murray still has mid- to low-end QB1 fantasy potential if everything goes well. Hopefully, you're listening to theScore Fantasy Football Podcast where we analyzed those quotes throughout the week and settled on Henderson as the best fantasy option from that group. After playing 57% of the offensive snaps and delivering 66 yards and a score on 19 touches, Henderson has secured himself atop the depth chart until Kyren Williams returns. Williams is eligible to come back in Week 12, but it's unclear if he'll be ready at that point. The matchup with the Cowboys this week will make Henderson more of an RB3/flex, but he'll be a low-end RB2 or better against most opponents.Freeman poured in 66 yards of his own on 12 carries, making him flex worthy in most formats.Emari Demercado, CardinalsNext UpRosteredFABvs. BAL15%$14Demarcado was my pick to lead the Cardinals' RBs two weeks ago when James Conner was placed on IR. However, the rookie was only given three touches in Week 6 compared to 12 for teammate Keaontay Ingram and nine for veteran Damien Williams. That led me to move on from Demercado despite the fact he outsnapped his teammates in that game. But Arizona's coaching staff must have liked what they saw from him since they reversed course this past weekend.Demercado was a workhorse, playing 80% of the snaps and amassing 75 yards from scrimmage on 17 touches, including four receptions. Ingram and Williams totaled just one combined touch in the game. Now, it looks like Demercado will fulfill my original projection and be the lead back during Conner's absence - making the rookie an RB3/flex with upside in better matchups.Devin Singletary, TexansNext UpRosteredFABat CAR14%$6Singletary was one of the stashes in my Start, Sit, Stash, Quit column last Friday following his best performance of the year in Week 6.The veteran back racked up 13 touches and 62 yards on a season-high 54% of the Texans' snaps in that contest, pushing Dameon Pierce down to just 33% of snaps. It still seems unlikely that Singletary will take over the starting job, but it's not impossible. Seattle Seahawks edge rusher Uchenna Nwosu will undergo pectoral surgery and likely miss the remainder of the season, head coach Pete Carroll announced Monday, according to Gregg Bell of the Tacoma News Tribune.Nwosu's injury is a big blow to a Seattle defense that's been solid through the season's first seven weeks. The Seahawks place 12th in points allowed and ninth in EPA per play allowed. The USC product has racked up 16 tackles (four for loss), six QB hits, two sacks, and two forced fumbles in six games in 2023. He also ranks third on the team with 15 pressures, according to PFF.Nwosu signed a three-year, $45-million contract extension with the Seahawks this past offseason after recording a career-high 9.5 sacks in his first year with the NFC West club. He joined Seattle on a two-year deal during the 2022 offseason after spending his first four NFL seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers, who drafted him in the second round in 2018.With Nwosu sidelined, Boye Mafe and Darrell Taylor will lead the Seahawks' group of edge rushers. Mafe is the team's joint-leader with four sacks. Defensive lineman Jarran Reed has also amassed four sacks to go along with eight QB hits in 2023.Copyright (C) 2023 Score Media Ventures Inc. The NFL is asking the Atlanta Falcons about the timeline surrounding Bijan Robinson's health after the rookie running back sat out the majority of Sunday's win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers due to an illness, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. The league wants to know when the team became aware Robinson wasn't feeling well and why it wasn't reported, Schefter adds.Robinson played just 11 snaps and received one carry, which came late in the fourth quarter. His absence remained a mystery until head coach Arthur Smith revealed at halftime that Robinson wasn't feeling right. The rookie running back went into more detail postgame, sharing that he was stricken by headaches Saturday night."I woke up (last night) just completely out of it. I tried to take medicine so I could be good for the game," Robinson said. "But my head was hurting - bad. I don't know what was going on. I tried to go in pregame, but then Coach Smith said, 'We'll be all right. Let's get you right.'"Atlanta did not add Robinson to the injury report because the organization believed he would play, per Schefter. The NFL typically questions teams due to injury-report compliance concerns. Violations result in a fine.Copyright (C) 2023 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. Certain content reproduced under license.

The NFL season is already over a third of the way complete as the end of October nears.By now, the teams that'll be contending for division titles in December are more or less known. The best teams have separated themselves from the league's bottom feeders, and playoff races are starting to take shape.Let's take a look at how all eight divisions stand and how the betting market feels about each team's chances of winning the division.AFC EastTeamRecordOddsDolphins5-2-0-175Bills4-3-0+185Jets3-3-0+1000Patriots2-5-0+5000All odds via theScore Bet.The Dolphins are the odds-on favorites to win the AFC East despite a Sunday Night Football loss to the Eagles. Their odds shortened from -155 to -175 following Week 7, but that has much more to do with the Bills' shocking defeat on the road to the Patriots.Buffalo, which won the AFC East each of the past three seasons, entered the year as a +110 favorite. However, after two key losses to divisional opponents - the Jets in Week 1 and now the Patriots - the Bills' chances of winning a fourth straight AFC crown are dwindling. Their current odds of +185 convert to an implied probability of 35.1%.The Bills do own the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Dolphins at the moment, but that could change with their Week 18 tilt in Miami in what should be a game with massive playoff implications. The Jets, who were on bye in Week 7, saw their odds shortened from +1800 to +1000, and the Patriots' odds changed from +15000 to +5000 following their upset of the Bills.AFC NorthTeamRecordOddsRavens5-2-0+110Browns4-2-0+300Steelers4-2-0+400Bengals3-3-0+500The AFC North is by far the tightest division in football. All four teams are .500 or above, and the Bengals, who were the preseason favorites to win the division, hold the last spot with a 3-3-0 record. The Ravens showed why they deserve to be in the conversation for the best team in the AFC after they dismantled the then-5-1 Lions at home. The betting market is giving them a 47.6% chance of winning the AFC North.Despite a major question mark at quarterback, the Browns won their second straight game by picking up a road win over the Colts. The Steelers did the same by traveling to L.A. after their Week 6 bye and beating the Rams. The Bengals were on a bye, so they couldn't add a tally to their win column like the rest of their division. Oddsmakers have the Bengals, who've played in the AFC Championship Game back-to-back years, at +500 to win the AFC North and +140 (41.7% implied probability) to make the playoffs.AFC SouthTeamRecordOddsJaguars5-2-0-200Texans3-3-0+325Titans2-4-0+800Colts3-4-0+1300The AFC South is the Jaguars' to lose. The Titans and Colts are both dealing with injuries to their Week 1 starting quarterbacks and are long shots to make the playoffs, let alone contend for the division.AFC WestTeamRecordOddsChiefs6-1-0-1200Raiders3-4-0+2500Chargers2-4-0+900Broncos2-5-0+10000The AFC West is even more of a one-horse race than the AFC South. The Chiefs are off to another incredible start, having rattled off six straight wins following their Week 1 loss to the Lions. The Chargers, who were considered the only real threat to the Chiefs in the division, have lost back-to-back games following their Week 5 bye and now face an uphill battle to make the playoffs, with oddsmakers giving them +175 odds (36.4% implied probability) of reaching the postseason.NFC EastTeamRecordOddsEagles6-1-0-225Cowboys4-2-0+175Commanders3-4-0+6000Giants2-5-0+10000The Eagles and Cowboys are the class of the NFC East - information known before the season started.Philadelphia answered the bell with an impressive win over the Dolphins Sunday night after the Jets surprisingly ruined the Eagles' perfect start to the season in Week 6. Philly has the third-shortest odds of winning the Super Bowl at +650, behind the 49ers (+400) and Chiefs (+450).The Cowboys beat the Chargers in their last game and will host the Rams next following their Week 7 bye. It's been a roller-coaster season for America's team. They've played in three games decided by 35 points or more, including a tough 42-10 loss to the 49ers. They also lost to the lowly Cardinals.NFC NorthTeamRecordOddsLions5-2-0-600Vikings2-4-0+1000Packers2-4-0+800Bears2-5-0+3500The Lions all but have the NFC North wrapped up at this point. Even though they lost in embarrassing fashion to the Ravens, Detroit remains one of the best teams in the NFC. Coach Dan Campbell will have his group ready when it hosts the Raiders on Monday night in Week 8.The Vikings and Packers are disappointments so far this season. Losing Justin Jefferson for an extended period of time instantly hurt the Vikings' hopes of making the playoffs, and Jordan Love isn't coming close to filling the shoes Aaron Rodgers left behind in Green Bay.NFC SouthTeamRecordOddsFalcons4-3-0+100Saints3-4-0+200Buccaneers3-3-0+300Panthers0-6-0+750The NFC South is doing its best AFC North impression, except the best team in the NFC South may not be better than the worst team in the AFC North. The Falcons lead with their 4-3 record, good for even-money odds to win the division.Oddsmakers giving the Panthers a +750 shot at winning this division despite sitting at 0-6 tells you everything you need to know about the NFC South lacking any Super Bowl contenders.NFC WestTeamsRecordOdds49ers5-1-0-700Seahawks4-2-0+600Rams3-4-0+1600Cardinals1-6-0+15000The 49ers head into Monday Night Football with a 5-1 record and fresh off a loss to the Browns. The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday, October 31 at 4 p.m. ET. Here's a look at the 25 most-interesting names potentially available.Big boardTrade chipsKirk Cousins, QBThe Vikings should absolutely be looking to move Kirk Cousins - this is a lost season, he's almost certain to walk as a free agent, and the return would be substantial. A no-trade clause may make this one unlikely, but Cousins remains the top player available nonetheless. There are a few teams that could become contenders with a quarterback of his caliber.Brian Burns, DEElite pass-rushers are tough to find. The Panthers know this, and it's fair to assume they're planning to use the franchise tag on Burns as a result. But what if an offer they receive gets Bryce Young the help he needs on offense? Given the lack of progress on a new contract for Burns, it seems possible Carolina is tempted to move on at the deadline.Budda Baker, SThe Cardinals have been far more competitive than anyone could have expected, but this season is still more about building for the future than anything else. Baker remains their top trade chip, and he recently returned to practice after missing time with a hamstring injury. The five-time Pro Bowler was trying to force his way out of Arizona before receiving a revised contract at the start of training camp.Saquon Barkley, RBIt's difficult to imagine Barkley getting a long-term deal in New York. It's even more difficult to imagine the Giants finding a way to be competitive down the stretch this year. With that in mind, a trade would probably be best for everyone. The only question is whether the Giants will have the courage to be sellers after heading into this season with so much excitement.Derrick Henry, RBThird-round rookie Tyjae Spears is already eating into Henry's workload and looks capable of taking on more. With Henry heading for free agency at season's end, and the Titans seemingly in no position to compete this year, a trade makes sense for all. The two-time rushing champ might have lost a step, but he'd still be a valuable early-down runner for a contending team in January.Danielle Hunter, DEHunter's been a rumored trade candidate for years. Nothing materialized in the past, but the Vikings haven't been this bad during his tenure, either. It's time for Minnesota to sell, and its star pass-rusher should probably be considered the most likely to go. Teams are always willing to pay up for star talent on the edge, and Hunter is tied for the league lead with eight sacks.DeAndre Hopkins, WRHopkins ending up in Tennessee this offseason was always a bit of a weird fit. His production despite a lack of team success gives the Titans a unique opportunity to flip the free-agent acquisition for draft capital. There are several contenders that could use his big-play ability at receiver, and a minimal remaining base salary for this year would make a trade fairly easy to work out.Darren Waller, TEThe Giants punting on the Waller trade after two months seems unlikely, at best. But we shouldn't rule it out entirely. Waller has a $14.4-million cap hit in his age-32 season next year, and it only goes up from there. The blockbuster acquisition hasn't helped push this offense over the top, so turning to the trade market wouldn't be the worst idea. Contending teams would certainly be interested in the supremely talented tight end.Chase Young, DEThe Commanders can't pay everyone on that star-studded defensive line. Choosing between Young and Montez Sweat won't be easy, but Sweat's consistent availability could be the tiebreaker here. And it's possible Young's draft pedigree as a former No. 2 overall pick yields a more significant trade return. The Ohio State product still has star potential.Derrick Brown, DLBrown is another young defensive player who could net Carolina solid draft capital. The impact of losing a foundational piece will be a factor, of course, but it's unclear whether the Panthers plan on paying Brown his market value. Moving on from the former first-round pick could be yet another way to stockpile assets that can help rebuild the offense around its franchise QB.Justin Simmons, SThe Broncos have been a disaster and Simmons is one of many players who should be put on the block in the hopes of collecting draft picks and rebuilding. The veteran safety is signed through next season with a base salary topping $14 million, so Denver may have to eat some money, but he could be an important addition on the back end for a team looking to make a playoff run.Trent Brown, OTThe Patriots as sellers? Yeah, it's weird. But there's little left to gain from this season, and New England needs all the draft picks it can get. Brown plays a premium position, and does it quite well; the veteran left tackle is one of the few bright spots for a terrible Patriots offense. A playoff team needing help up front could justify offering a mid-round pick.Leonard Williams, DLWilliams is in the last year of a big-money extension he signed in 2021. The Giants will likely have to absorb a good chunk of what remains on his prorated $18-million base salary, but if it helps them get a better return, why not? Williams is an every-down interior lineman who can make an impact against the run and as a pass-rusher.Jerry Jeudy, WRJeudy has been a major disappointment since joining the Broncos as a first-round pick in 2020. The former Alabama star is yet to top 1,000 yards in a season, and he's managed only 286 yards and no touchdowns this year. In fairness, though, the Broncos offense rarely sets him up for success. A fresh start may allow him to realize his potential.Courtland Sutton, WRThe Broncos trading both their top receivers seems unlikely - but what's the point in delaying the inevitable? Sutton's been unable to make good on the flashes he showed early in his career. It's no sure thing a new environment helps get him there, but he's worth a shot for a team desperate for receiver help.Jaylon Johnson, CBJohnson's one of the NFL's most underrated defensive backs. The Bears should have no problem paying to keep him off the free-agent market, but the opportunity to flip him for some sort of draft compensation beforehand may change their plans. The former second-round pick is only 24 and could be much more than a deadline rental.Harrison Smith, SSmith has played his entire 12-year career in Minnesota, and moving on from such a player is easier said than done, but the Vikings have to consider it with this season going down the drain. The six-time Pro Bowler is the type of player who can be counted on to make an immediate impact with a new defense down the stretch.Carl Lawson, DELawson being buried on the Jets' depth chart says more about their ridiculous defensive line depth than it does his ability. The 28-year-old remains an explosive edge rusher who can contribute in an every-down role, and should generate plenty of interest. Perhaps the Jets dangle him in trade talks to upgrade at a position of need.Adoree' Jackson, CBStarting-caliber cornerbacks are tough to come by. Jackson hasn't been his usual self this season, but nothing's truly going right for the Giants. He could be a deadline steal for a contending team with a better supporting cast.Xavier McKinney, SMcKinney is a smart, versatile Giants defender. An extension makes sense for both sides, but there's been no momentum on a deal. A trade shouldn't be ruled out with the 24-year-old slated for free agency at season's end.Hunter Henry, TEHenry's remained a remarkably consistent possession target since joining New England on a big-money deal in 2021. He's scheduled for free agency in March, though, so it makes sense for the Patriots to collect as many draft picks as they can.Preston Smith, DESmith remains a reliable contributor for Green Bay, but Rashan Gary and Lukas Van Ness are the future on the edge. There should be plenty of interest in the veteran pass-rusher coming off an 8.5-sack season, especially considering the minimal base salary a new team would absorb.Kendrick Bourne, WRAnother member of New England's massive 2021 free-agent class, Bourne is headed back to the open market in March. He's had some ups and downs with the Patriots, but he's still been their most reliable receiver. Bourne could be a valuable depth addition for a team with playoff hopes.Hunter Renfrow, WRRenfrow has been a non-factor in Josh McDaniels' offense after establishing himself as one of the league's premier slot specialists in 2021. The Raiders likely can't expect much of a return at this point, but a fresh start would be best for all parties.Zach Ertz, TEErtz is no stranger to deadline deals and should once again be available for the right price. He can still be a reliable underneath target, even if his playmaking ability isn't what it used to be.Copyright (C) 2023 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved. Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. lamented not having a bigger role in Sunday's 39-38 loss to the Cleveland Browns."They just didn't target me today, for whatever reason. Maybe I'm not a big part of the offense," Pittman said postgame, according to Nate Atkins of the Indianapolis Star.Pittman only managed two receptions on five targets in the defeat. However, he was able to break free for a 75-yard touchdown to give the Colts a 38-33 lead with 5:38 remaining."When I do get the ball, I feel like I always do something with it," he said. "Just know that I'm viable to break off a big one in any situation versus any team. I'm just trying to show the coaches that I'm out there, too."Rookie Josh Downs paced Indy with five receptions and six targets. But despite Pittman's quiet showing, the fourth-year wideout ranks ninth in the league and first on his team in targets with 65 through seven games. Pittman has led the Colts in receptions, yards, and receiving touchdowns over the past two seasons. With Gardner Minshew in line to start the remainder of the season after rookie Anthony Richardson was placed on injured reserve, Indianapolis leaned more on its rushing attack Sunday with the pairing of Jonathan Taylor and Zack Moss. The Colts compiled 40 rushing attempts compared to just 23 passes. However, Pittman, who's playing out the final year of his rookie deal, says he just wants more of an opportunity to make plays."It was frustrating. I was frustrated," Pittman said. "I was just trying to keep my composure to myself and not try to project that onto anybody else."The USC product has 42 receptions for 489 yards and two touchdowns this season.Copyright (C) 2023 Score Media Ventures Inc. The 49ers are looking to bounce back from their first loss of the season, while the Vikings can grab second place in the NFC North and be a half-game out of a wild-card spot if they win at home in prime time.Of course, that means Kirk Cousins on Monday night - a scary proposition for those looking to back the underdog. However, there are a few reasons that might be the right play in this one.49ers @ Vikings (+6.5, 43.5)Cousins started his career 0-9 on Monday night. But his team's defense failed him repeatedly in those contests, allowing an average of 388 total yards, including 170 yards on the ground. Since then, Cousins has won two of his last three Monday-nighters.We're not necessarily asking Cousins to win this game unless we're hoping to close a few legs of a round-round underdog moneyline parlay. Those backing the Vikings against the spread just need Minnesota to keep this game close - something they're known to do, win or lose.A point spread that's been ping-ponging between +7 and +6.5 all week exists because the Vikings' team rating in the betting market has taken a hit from before the season, mainly due to a hamstring injury keeping Justin Jefferson sidelined. By comparison, Minnesota was widely available at +4 against the Chiefs - a team rated alongside San Francisco. The Vikings were considered an above-average squad, but now they're on the other side of .500.Maybe that's a fair assessment since the Vikings' offense has slowed since the first three games when Cousins ripped off 340-plus yards per contest. Then again, they lost those games. What's gone largely unnoticed is a turnaround from Minnesota's defense. Brian Flores has taken over after the club allowed the third-most yards per play last season (5.9). But the Vikings are down a full yard this campaign at 4.9 YPP against, and their defensive DVOA is at least in the middle of the pack. There's also the matter of personnel missing for the 49ers. Deebo Samuel is out for a few weeks, and left tackle Trent Williams is doubtful for Monday. Those are two key pieces for Brock Purdy, who lost the first game of his career last week in the toughest road environment he's faced from start to finish. While he won't have wind to throw through, communication in the dome will be critical. Having Christian McCaffrey suit up is also crucial. The running back is listed as questionable but is expected to play.Only eight teams have allowed fewer yards per carry than Minnesota, and only three give up fewer receptions per game to opposing running backs. The last time Flores faced Kyle Shanahan, his Dolphins won convincingly. The Vikings' defensive coordinator blitzes at the highest rate in the league. Not having Samuel as an outlet for yards after the catch should hurt Purdy's efficiency, especially if George Kittle is required to block more than run routes.Pick: Vikings (+6.5)Jordan Addison: Over 4.5 receptions (-105)Jordan Addison was Cousins' top target in the Vikings' game versus the Chiefs, recording six catches on nine looks in a contest that Minnesota mostly trailed as underdogs. The Vikings were the favorites last week and tried to limit risk on the road on a windy day in Chicago, so Addison's modest game might be keeping this total in check for a matchup that should look more like the one against K.C.Jauan Jennings: Anytime touchdown (+350)

Sunday Rundown recaps the most important developments from the day's action and examines their significance moving forward.Ravens take flight Patrick Smith / Getty Images Sport / GettyA new Super Bowl contender has officially entered the chat. This Ravens team's ceiling should've been obvious to all in the preseason. With one of the game's most electrifying quarterbacks finally getting some support on offense, and the defense quietly returning to the league's elite, all the pieces seemed to be in place. But a frustrating start prompted some concern as to whether this group would ever put it all together. Promising drives would too often come up short, and all Baltimore had to show for its investment in the receiver position was one untimely drop after another. No longer. Sunday's 38-6 win over the suddenly potent Lions demonstrated everything the Ravens can be. When things are clicking, that may well be the class of the NFL.Lamar Jackson finally got some help from his receivers, and the result was his most dominant performance in the last two years. The former MVP completed 21 of 27 passes for 357 yards and three touchdowns while adding another 36 yards and one score on the ground. As right tackle Morgan Moses said of his star quarterback after the win: "It's a video game."While Lamar's supporting cast could always revert back to the unit we saw over the first six weeks of the season, this new-look offense - in terms of both scheme and personnel - likely just needed reps to put it all together. That should be a scary thought for the rest of the league. Not to be outdone, Baltimore's defense was somehow every bit as good in the stunning blowout. Remember: This is a Detroit offense that entered this week ranked third in total yards, fourth in scoring, fifth in EPA/play, and seventh in success rate, according to Ben Baldwin's database. The Lions also topped Pro Football Focus' pass-blocking ratings through the first six weeks. That's not quite the way they looked against the Ravens. In a performance that should cement his status among the NFL's top head coaching candidates, defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald had the Lions clamped in every facet of the game. Most notably, the Ravens had eight defenders recording multiple pressures, with Kyle Van Noy and Odafe Oweh notching five each, according to Next Gen Stats.Teams with this much juice on both sides of the ball simply don't come around all that often. Could this finally be Baltimore's year?Major Bills letdown Maddie Meyer / Getty Images Sport / GettyThis wagon has a flat tire.Sunday's loss to the spiraling Patriots dropped the Bills to an underwhelming 4-3 on the year and, more importantly, highlighted some major issues with the current state of this team. For the first time in years, there's real reason for concern in Buffalo. Most importantly, injury issues are really starting to take their toll on the defensive side. This unit, unsurprisingly, isn't the same without a pair of Pro Bowl talents in Matt Milano and Tre'Davious White. With star defensive tackle Ed Oliver also out of action this week, the Bills were helpless against one of the league's worst scoring attacks. It's tough to imagine a more alarming result for a typically stout defense than allowing this version of Mac Jones, in this version of the Patriots' offense, to complete 25 of 30 passes for 272 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. The Bills' offense was largely fine, aside from the one brutal Josh Allen turnover, but the margin for error is just so much smaller if the defense is this undermanned. Rather than having backup for some high-variance play, everything could now fall on the shoulders of the Bills' offense. That's no recipe for success.Might this lead to the Bills getting aggressive at the deadline? Whether it's additions at linebacker and/or corner to replace Milano and White, or perhaps a weapon to raise the floor on offense, a few reinforcements would go a long way toward restoring the team's ceiling. As things stand, the once sky-high potential seems to be fading. It's bad in Green Bay Dustin Bradford / Getty Images Sport / GettyI'm here to apologize for getting caught up in some Week 1 excitement.Jordan Love certainly looked the part in the opener, leading Green Bay to a big win and seemingly opening the door for the Packers to somehow enjoy yet another seamless franchise quarterback transition.Six weeks later, any such ideas can probably be put on hold. Love's play has progressively trended in the wrong direction, with a three-interception performance in a Monday night defeat representing rock bottom. Then came Sunday's loss to the Broncos. While a bye week to reset and prepare for an all-time bad Denver defense seemed the perfect get-right opportunity, the bad times only continued for Green Bay. The Packers were somehow held scoreless in the first half, with Love managing a mere 47 yards. The second half was a notable improvement, as Love led three straight scoring drives for a late lead, but the damage had already been done. Denver only needed a field goal to jump back in front with minutes to play, and Love was intercepted on a desperation deep ball on the following drive to seal the game. It's probably not the hottest take to suggest that this Packers team, despite some initial optimism for the post-Aaron Rodgers era, isn't going anywhere. With that in mind, the rest of this season should be about evaluating Love for the future. While the former first-round pick did sign a new deal before this season, it's nothing that'd keep Green Bay from moving on if, say, it ended up in a position to draft a new quarterback. That's very much on the table based on what we've seen, and haven't seen, from the Packers thus far.Quick slantsA.J. Brown rules Mitchell Leff / Getty Images Sport / GettyThe Eagles' big win over the Dolphins on Sunday night once again brings us back to one of the best draft trades in recent memory. Howie Roseman getting Brown from the Titans in exchange for the No. 18 and No. 101 picks during the first round in 2022 will always be the move that pushed this juggernaut over the top. And Brown just keeps getting better. He led Philly to its biggest win of the season with his fifth straight 125-yard performance, tying Calvin Johnson and Pat Studstill for the longest streaks in NFL history. Players over picks, always.Garrett is unstoppableI have no idea who's winning Defensive Player of the Year since counting stats tend to be the leading factor in accolades. But this one isn't even close based on the eye test - Myles Garrett has been in a class of his own. The all-world pass-rusher was unblockable in the Browns' win over the Colts, recording two strip sacks (including one that was recovered for a TD), and a superhuman effort to block a kick. Just give him the award now.Josh McDaniels ain't itHere's a quick look at Josh McDaniels' accomplishments during his brief time in Las Vegas:

The tush push is still controversial this season, and the Philadelphia Eagles - the originators of the play - continue to use it to far greater success than any other NFL team.Philadelphia went 4-for-4 on the modified quarterback sneak play during Sunday night's 31-17 win over the Miami Dolphins. Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni spoke postgame about the advantage the tush push gives the reigning NFC champions while again calling for the play to remain legal."Every first down is first-and-9," said Sirianni, according to Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports. "We have a lot of confidence in that play."He added: "People can't do it like we can do it. Don't ban this play. If everybody could do it, everybody would do it."The NFL competition committee considered banning the tush push last offseason - also known as the brotherly shove thanks to its Philadelphia origins - but decided against it.However, the league is expected to review the tush push next offseason in the wake of players suffering injuries on the play this year. With a powerful runner at quarterback in Jalen Hurts and one of the best offensive lines in the NFL, Philadelphia seemingly holds a unique edge in running the tush push. The Eagles have converted 41 of 44 push sneaks when needing one yard for the first down since the start of the 2022 campaign, according to ESPN Stats & Info. The Buffalo Bills and Chicago Bears are tied for second with 11 conversions each.Philadelphia moved to 6-1 with the prime-time victory, while Miami fell to 5-2.Copyright (C) 2023 Score Media Ventures Inc. The Detroit Lions entered Week 7 with one of the NFL's best records at 5-1 but couldn't do much during Sunday's lopsided 38-6 defeat to the Baltimore Ravens.Lions head coach Dan Campbell said postgame that his team "probably needed" a loss like that to get a reality check, according to Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk."You don't want these to happen but when it does, it recenters you, it refocuses you and that's all I know," Campbell added. "I don't want it to happen. Nobody wants it to happen. Nobody likes to look over there and watch them having a great time because they kicked our ass. Quarterback Jared Goff finished the day with 33 completions on 53 attempts for 284 yards and no touchdowns against one interception. He was sacked five times.Baltimore also outgained Detroit 503-337 in total yards."Those guys, they played well. "Money Lamar. ... Ball placement was incredible."Baltimore made big changes offensively during the offseason after ranking 19th in scoring in 2022.
